This could help folks when their power station battery dies. Most of the power stations don't give the ability to replace the battery but this allows one to keep using the other components of the power station. I have Licciti battery box with BYOB (Bring Your Own Battery) but I will definitely be looking at doubling my capacity now. Great info sir.
Hey thanks! Glad it helped
Thank you! This is exactly what i was looking for!
Glad I could help!
I honestly did not know that I can do that to my River Max. Thanks to your video I cam expand the capacity even more than before.
You can also you a solar connector to the battery for faster charging
Thanks for the video. I am gonna do the same with my River Max and hopefully end up with a lot more capacity.
Good luck!
I can't help but notice the color of your River Max. It does look pretty good from the video.
👍
This is super cool
But i would actually like to see how to do it the other way around
Have to Eco Flow charge my car battery!!!
@@carolmaplesden916 👍
Doing this in the next few days 😊
Nice 👍
Useful and easy.
Glad you think so!
I do like the color of that River Max, you don't always see a colorful power station.
True
Simple and nice! Would be the same with acid battery?
Yes
Try to use the solar cable and you could get more power to the Ecoflow. It should charge with more than 8 Amps.
Yes you can do 12 amps with the solar input. I just have not made a cable yet. Wanted to show it with off the shelf products you can easily purchase. Thanks
Great idea too. After watching another video I seethere is also an xt60 with battery clamps
get a 240w converter and attach the battery to it and the other end to the ecoflow, I have a converter on my battery and it inputs 192 watts to my ecoflow river 2 max
Thanks. Many ways to keep it charged
Yes Im loving my ecoflow, what mppt controller do you recomend tp charge my battery?
I like the small victron. But depending on solar panel size/amount. signaturesolar.com/victron-bluesolar-mppt-75-15-solar-charge-controller/?ref=rodneyhunt
They have bigger units if you want to charge faster but that one should charge a small battery back with no problems.
if you use the 12v car lighter port on the echoflow, can you recharge that car battery?
Not sure if that will work. May just need to use a standard charger.
Is there any way the power station is charging the auxiliary battery once it is fully charged?
Just with a standard charger from a plug but nothing automatic
It kinda shows how versatile the River Max is aside from having 576Wh of capacity.
Liking mine so far
Can you use a 100 Ah Lithium battery?
Yes
Can you put a MPPT and a few panels on the battery while it’s plugged into the Ecoflow?
Sure
@@rodneyhunt I appreciate your super fast response!
No problem
Does this charge the battery back up when you plug in the ecoflow?
It can. Best to charge with solar if you have it. A generator or car will work also. Lots of options.
@@rodneyhunt but can it charge just by leaving it plugged into that port?
No that is for using the power.
Appreciate the uploaded review. Just wondering what you think if the product a year on & where you got it from as its hard to find now
I got the solar generator at samsclub but not sure they have it now. Still like it for the right price if you can find it
@@rodneyhuntthankyou for getting back to me. Seems like its sold out on that site too. I prefer the RM Plus design over the River Pro so will keep looking for it.
👍
@@rodneyhuntis it possible to add expansion battery on this like its possible with the River Pro?
Not sure one is prebuilt for this but you can always add your own with a few modifications to use thru the solar inputs etc
Same your money this battery BMS keeps shutting down…
Which battery? Are you over the rating?
@@rodneyhunt it’s set to 14.4 on charge controller bms shuts down after battery is charged none of my other batteries does this I can leave my other batteries hooked up and nothing turns off everything keeps working put on the power queen for some reason it turns off my inverter witch is only 600 watts beeps giving battery error charge protection..
@@dan32one44 might be going over charge limit even though set to 14.4. Try lowering the setting slightly and that might fix it
