- Belarus has been a controversial country during the Coronavirus pandemic, not shutting down like their European neighbours, then recently being accused of kidnapping journalist Roman Protasevich and his girlfriend after redirecting a Ryanair flight en route to Vilnius from Athens.
But don’t be put off by all the media coverage, as Belarus is a great country to visit. I went on a city break to its capital, Minsk, and got to experience the best of what it had to offer. So, if you’re going to the Belarusian capital, it’s time to start putting together your itinerary - just make sure to include these five things you have to do in Minsk.

Nice video & info mate ! the War Museum is very interesting .. there is a 3 tier shopping mall under Independence square ,under those glass domes, entrance via the Metro steps.. many nice affordable restaraunts throughout Minsk too ... any info updates on travel to & from Minsk .. it seems there are no flights atall just now (i`m in Denmark)!?? :)
Wow, thanks for the info! Yeah, a lot of people will have to visit when everything opens back up. But I know there are problems not just with COVID, but also politically in Belarus at the moment. So best to wait until it's all opened back up!

Love that red brick church. Cool looking library with a great view. We always learn alot from museums like that state museum. That Holy Spirit Cathedral is lovely.
You should try and visit whilst you're in Europe!
