It was only a matter of time before they had Intel on Pablo's whereabouts to either be captured or killed. Pablo didn't want to be captured so he decided to speed up his death by getting on the phone to his son/family. It's not rocket science lol
Everyone was trying to go after pablo escobar tho. Cops, Military, Rival Cartel, families of the victims affected by his rampage. Eventually they all team up together and they destroyed his empire and it was only a matter of time till they killed him

Of course he committed suicide. The dude was shit scared of being captured and facing extradition to the United States to rot in prison for life. Chose the pussy way out by offing himself.
In regards to the families he ruthlessly killed, they are undoubtedly finding solace in his passing. Concerning his own family, my hope is that they discover peace despite the transgressions of this man. He will undoubtedly be remembered as the drug lord who callously took numerous lives in his pursuit of becoming the kingpin of Colombian drug history.
No question… And he (son) is making amends with those families - even though it was his father who did all the murdering - and he is making a positive impact for all of us to appreciate!

Clearly his survival instincts kicked in. I 100% believe he not only gave himself up but he shot the fatal final shot in his ear. His cousin Gustavo was tortured by the police 90’.. no chance he allows them to do the same to him + at that point he was beyond finished.. his family would have died if he didn’t give himself up
But in other interview pablo son said the man that was with his in the house was the snitch...i dont know man to me they just found him that day and he got shot..if he really wanted to be killed he wouldn't go to the roof with no shoes ..its very uncomfortable to run with no shoes man..pablo got killed accepted and move on

A convenient theory that shapes a narrative of a man in control to the very end including controlling the end. It’s improbable. Given Escobar’s chosen life, it was impossible for him to maintain complete control. It was highly probable that he knew his end was coming and he couldn’t control it. At that point, a rule about phone use is meaningless. He bought as much time as he could with his various precautions but the inevitable had come.
For sure… He couldn't even enjoy the money and power he DID have most of the time… This was no exception

Pablo was a very interesting personality, i wish i was more than a small boy when he met his end. What if he became the president? He really did more good to normal people than the government did, even if he gained from it.
True - He did many wonderful things for the poor communities. But in his case, it was a way to glean support. His ultimate goal - and demise - was his desire for power. Thank you for weighing in on this!

You think Pablo was shot in the ear from a a rifle shot in the shootout he wasn’t that’s not how it went down . He was hit twice in the torso maybe 1 in the leg by Colombian police in the shootout and when he fell over due to the injuries unable to run he was finished off at close range by Trujillo with a revolver. You also make an assumption iron sites are not accurate that’s not true iron sites can be very accurate and more so in close distance engagements.
