My Walker muffler same here
I went through the same thing with my Acura Vigor years ago. I had to reinstall a OEM exhaust a couple of years later. No aftermarket exhaust system for me.
Rather have a 1yr warranty on an OEM than a lifetime warranty from Autozone
My repair shop put on a cheap muffler, but charged me the equivalent price of oem. The car was noisy and lacked power. Mechanics gouge customers on parts prices by buying aftermarket junk like Walker and others, but charge you more than list oem prices.
My stock exhaust also literally fell off my '11 impreza hatch at about 103k miles. I had zero tools at the time so I had to take it to the nearest garage and get it fixed immediately so I could get to work. They charged me like 1200 to replace it and I don't even think I picked the "OEM parts" option. Looks like they ripped me TF off.

Get an oem and bolt it back on. Wham bam thank you mam, no fuss no rust.
I mean aftermarket is temporary part and OEM is long lasting parts
Just throw that muffler in the trash and get the OEM muffler. Welding it will be a waste, you’re just polishing a turd 💩
Not in everything.
Brembo brakes if available much much better oem brakes. Many oil and air filters also superior to oem . Just couple examples but there a lot more
