    Nice work huggie! Don’t sweat the negative comments. Recall not that long ago you were “taking a shot at 2/5” and you look super comfortable at 5/10! Posting the losses and bad play lends credibility to your work. Thanks for the content, sir!

    Love the transparency and your improved comfort level at higher stakes! You have come a long way. And it's great that you were able to use your table image to get unstuck. Even better is not going on tilt when you got felted. I'll repeat it, you've gotten so much better.

      Thanks for the really kind words, buddy! I've been trying to get more aggressive, but I obviously overdid it a bit here with the A3 hand. Now I've just gotta pull it back in spots like those, and we might be onto something. 😅

      @@HuggiePoker well mistakes happen. Just shows you are human. But the fact you are able to critique your own play objectively has also helped your growth! And naturally at higher stakes, mistakes are of course magnified.

      @@HuggiePoker well some people, myself included let their ego get in the way. Blaming variance, bad luck, or overestimating their own skill. Your truthfulness with your own game and unbiased review of your own play is why I love your Vlog. It helps me remember to not get trapped in those BS excuses. I am not able to play as much as I'd like, but when I do I'd like to continue to improve and increase my win rate.

    So right away. If you don't buy in for the max in 5/10, then you look scared and you'll get picked on. Buy in for the max $1500.

    • @HuggiePoker

      I'm fine to buy in for what I'm comfortable playing with. I would not have been comfortable with a $1,500 starting stack, personally. I don't mind if people want to attack me, I'm happy to take the action at a level I'm comfortable playing.

    $30 is technically a legal raise when you missed the straddle. The straddle is just a $10 raise, so there’s no reason you can’t raise another $10 more.

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 роки тому

      They essentially treat the straddle as the new big blind. For example, even though the SB is $5 and BB is $10 (for a difference of $5 between them), I'm not allowed to raise just $5 more to make it $15. I have to at least double the BB in that scenario. The same is true of the straddle.

    Playing higher is not point of poker. Playing bad players is point

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 роки тому +1

      I'd argue that it depends on the goal of the individual! I enjoy doing both. Obviously playing against worse opponents is great for making money. But I also enjoy learning new skills and approaches to the game by playing higher, even if the field is tougher and winning is more challenging. If I were playing for a living, then I'd probably be more inclined to focus more on just playing against worst players, but it's a recreational game for me at this point in my life.
