  • The death of President Ebrahim Raisi has ushered in a new phase for the Islamic Republic of Iran. With the upcoming presidential elections on June 28, the competition for the presidency is intensifying. Raisi’s death, who was also one of the most credible candidates to succeed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, introduces new scenarios for succession. This event aims to analyse the domestic and foreign challenges that Iran will face in the coming months while assessing the impact of the helicopter crash on the ongoing regional escalation of tensions.
