That is not in great condition, but great work on being in that roof space. I paid $99 in Perth for a service from one of the big HVAC guys, and 12 months down the line the Daikin failed. I'll now pay for quality
Nice repair!
It's polite and accurate.
It's no wonder that there is a high-pressure error.
There was a possibility that the compressor would break.
Nice nice mitch... the filter system rack etc you install whats. Do you have any link for that because i have that same issue here with no filter in the vrv systems
Thanks mate. Are you talking about the white return air grille mounted on the ceiling?
Well done Mitch, this unfortunate A/C system has been through hard times, it must be running nicely now after your careful repair 👍
It’s running perfectly now 👍🏻
You must have the patience of a saint to deal with that mate, great work as always 🙌🏼
Haha thanks mate!
Look at all those plastic parts. Wow.
One thing I hate is working in roofs.Being able to inspect the ductwork and internal filters or heat exchanger fins of the internal unit would be so much easier with a remote viewing robot sent in thru the ceiling intake. One of those spider robots with a mounted camera would be ideal.
Or an even simpler thing would be to incorporate an air pressure flow sensor before the plenum intake section. Microprocessor sensing is so easy to do nowadays that incorporating the pressure sensor reading into the wall controller would be great and would provide a warning to the property owner of a maintenance need before a catastrophe like this.
Arduino now have a cheap PLC system for sale, far better than the price gouging brand names like A-B, etc.
The traditional warning that the house control panel provides about cleaning filters is all well and good but how many owners actually pay attention ??
Our current property did not even have a ceiling filter installed ! And the owner was a John-Deere maintenance mechanic ! Really pissed me off.
We had it replaced with a Daikin 14kW system eventually but every time I remove the ceiling filter for cleaning and look at the ductwork I have to shudder in disgust.
Yeah I agree mate. Most wall controllers come up with a filter sign but it is just a timer initiated thing and has got no idea how filthy the filter or coil may be. I think there’s a need for something smarter to avoid stuff like this happening.
Custy want not pay $$$ for “extra” pressure sensor… Custy say they clean filter every month. Custy no lie…..😮
@@aus_aircon_ref_mech6671 haha there was no filter to clean mate. Absolutely crazy
