Η κάθοδος της Περσεφόνης might just be one of the greatest pagan black metal songs ever recorded, comparable even perhaps to Graveland's finest stuff. Such an awesome atmosphere of being on an ancient battlefield.

'Ερεβος Αν και δεν ακούω τόσο ελληνική black metal σκηνή - είμαι κολλημένη με τον νορβηγικό ήχο - υπάρχουν μερικές ελληνικές μπάντες που είναι cult αξίες. Kawir, Necromantia, Naer Mataron.
Ναι παντως ανεκαθεν η ελλαδα μετα την σκανδιναβια εβγαζε και βγαζει την καλυτερη black metal και με τον δικο της μοναδικο ηχο. :)

Темнозорь, Pagan Reign, Ashen Light, Небокрай, Isa, Всполох, Веда.... все очень хорошие группы, но всех больше рекомендую первые 4!

Repetition can be used as an artform, but Kawir manage to screw up fine song ideas by repeating them again and and again and again - "Exilasmos" did fare a lot better in that aspect. I only managed to get through this one in a single listen ONCE, too fucking repetitive and way too long.

this was terrible, Isotheos was a pretty GREAT album though
This album is pretty lame compared to the good qualities found in "Isotheos". All songs sound the same, there's no progression, no climax, just silly folk repetition on each track. The music does not even sound Greek, but rather Irish, like a Cruachan copycat, which in itself was and is a rather uninspired metal rendition of Irish folk à la Dubliners, not to mention the flutes here, played by what seems to be a kid at his music class in elementary school. "Isotheos" was powerful, distinctive, evocative, this here is a lazy exercice far below what these musicians are known to be capable of.

@@aetherion7 Right. While Kawir can stand on its own pagan black metal, Cruachan is another entity in a different Celtic folk/black metal sound. Respectable but different nonetheless
