My Dad served on one ship during the whole of WW2. The ship was involved in many D-Days in the Mediterranean and in the Pacific. I recently found a book written about his ship the USS Biscayne. How would I get the records of the ship? Ship's log ect?

You might want to take a look on Fold3. (If you don’t have a subscription, check with your local public library.) You can also contact the National Archives to see what might be available.

My Grandpa Vernis Ivan Church was a Platoon Sergeant in the 95th Division with Patton Third Army “Iron Men Of Metz”, 377TH Infantry Regiment, Company C. I’ve been trying to do a lot of research to find out more about the stories about where my grandpa was at.
Grandpa also fought in Luxembourg, Holland and crossed the Rhine with General Simpsons 9TH. Then my Grandpa entered the Ruhr pocket and fought with the 2nd armored division with the hell on wheels division. My grandpa saw a lot of combat at the Battle of the Bulge. Thanks Cody
