On many of the gravestones the names and ranks are, or were, (1975 was a long time ago) repetitious having the same name and rank for many of the fallen. I cannot recall the name or rank but when we toured in 1975 we were informed by the tourguide that this was because the remains were not identified. Anyone know the name and rank given and why they are the same?

At what depth does a marble headstone get placed?
I think I read somewhere that it is 16 inches deep, leaving 26 inches above ground.
