Based on the Mike E hardware...this is basically a mic pre with a distressor tacked on to it.. there's some slightly longer attack times to suit recording vocals and guitars etc...but there's also the awesome NUKE setting.
And yes...we realise now that 'Mike' refers to the mic pre bit... they should learn to spell... it's mic, not mike!

The thing about softube is that after trying out their plugins i gotta have 'em. So i try to limit these try outs😅
This is a lovely plugin! I think its very close to a distressor:..I know its based on a different unit but to my ears it is the closest in the box to a distressor

I use The Arousor by Eli Labs who make the Distressor. They put a lot into it - not exactly a Distressor but its one of my favourite compressors.

@@kempetai2099 Both good....but try the free Kiive Xtressor and the T-Racks Comprexxor....both really good too...👍
Softube crushed this 1 like it better than UAD Distressor. I got the Console can get the whole pack with EQ also turn up the drive sounds great.

Ah you just missed one, there was one a few days ago where the xtressor was 40 quid down from 150 🥲
Amazing. But ik multimedia and kive audio arw giving the distressor for free and theu sound. Great
