I have 2 questions.
1. Why are you backlighting the monitor?
2. Do you use a monitor color calibrator?
It's not actually backlit, that light is coming from the ceiling light but it's quite a small room, so the light kind of spills over everything. I did use Datacolor Spyder calibrator in the past but it doesn't work on the latest version of Mac OS and I haven't replaced it.
@@stevelitton I do not understand why put a lamp on the monitor at all. Hm.
@@lnuponom2678 It basically just reduces screen reflection, gives a better light to work under, and reduces eye strain. I must admit, I always have it switched on when working now. Does seem to make a difference, at least on my monitor anyway.
Does it turn off and on when turning off and on the pc??
I guess it depends how you have it plugged in. Mine is plugged straight into the power extension lead. So it only turns off when it is switched off at the wall. But I think if it were powered directly from my computer it would turn on and off when the computer is switched on and off.
@@stevelitton i received it yesterday, and i plugged it right into one of the usb ports in the back of the pc, but it doesnt turn off or on together with the pc...
Hmm, the magnets do need to line up right or it won't switch on. Out of the box it may need turning on from the remote, so make sure you have the batteries in that and click it down. I don't know if there is a limitation through certain usb ports. Hopefully one of those works.
@@stevelitton I'll try on a different one... Maybe due to being on motherboard USB vs case etc... Another thing is that the light won't work connected to monitor usb
