The clothes are beautiful, and it's a great idea in theory. But when the clothes are made on a custom basis, and come out so costly, how sustainable is it really? Almost no one could afford to furnish their entire wardrobe out of items like this (which is ironic, given the origin of flour sack clothing). Most people could maybe buy 1 or 2 as statement pieces. Don't get me wrong, I do love this business idea, and it's great for those who can afford it. But we need far more than just businesses like this popping up if we want to make the fashion industry sustainable.
Yeah, and it seems like they specifically look for rare sacks, which probably also drives up the price.
Unfortunately as of now a lot of sustainable businesses do have higher costing products, a lot of sustainable fashion brands are made to order and not just readily available. But at least they are using up bags and sacks that weren't going to be used for anything else any ways. Currently one of the most accessible, easiest, and cheapest way to buy sustainable clothing is through thrifting.
the issue of affording custom clothing though is less a matter of small sellers charging for their goods and more of mass employers and compensation regulations being insufficient
That's so interesting I had no idea that the bags are decorated like that because of World War and rations
If you Google it, you will see there are tons of beautiful patterns that were made. I wish this was revived as a thing nowadays
I wish flour and rice sacks were printed with pretty pattens still! What a wonderful thing to revive!!!
Wow these are absolutely beautiful 🤩
What a fabulous idea! 😊
Ok that’s genius and fashionable ❤️
A couple of garments is fine. Anything custom and unique comes with a price tag. Is it something you will cherish for many years, even decades? Then it seems like it's worth the cost. Sure you can buy 7 shirts for the cost of this one but the joy you get from having a really special piece is priceless imo.
Amazing! Keep up the amazing and creative work! 👏💪
Lots of people in the West Indies etc. Did that years and years ago.
So creative and personal. Love it!
I love this brand so much! I plan to save up to buy one of their sets one day 😍

@@CrystalFur0w0 same here tbh
Although I like the idea of not buying so many clothes I hate to see rare items destroyed. I’d rather see them displayed rather than cut to pieces.
Love it!!
I love this so much!
These are so beautiful and smart!
These are amazing!
Such a smart idea
What an amazing and fun idea
Cool idea.
This is a really neat idea.
Amazing 👏
Beautiful💚💙
this is so dope I want one
That's what my grandma did with flour bags. They were very poor and she had 10 children to cloth.
Whose rice is coming in cloth? All I see is plastic even in Whole Foods.

Idrk about you guys but the last Goodful videos were really odd and some of them cringe.
My mom said her underwear was made from potato sacks 😉
I thought those fabrics are the abbrasive ones, aren't they?
No they are the soft ones.
