Hi I really enjoy your videos. I’m 71 and because of your videos I’m learning how to strengthen my hips. Because of a series of events, including a broken elbow and a couple rounds of COVID, I lost a lot of mobility resorting to a cane and a walker. As I follow your suggestions for reclaiming my strength I rely on the aids less and less. Thank you for your UA-cam videos jam packed with information. I’m grateful for your generosity!!

I CAN SQUAT!!! After watching your inspiring videos, I made being able to squat a lifetime goal because I thought it would be nearly impossible for me. But it only took a couple of months, so I guess now I need some new challenges! I SLOWLY and SAFELY practiced your exercises like the ones in this video and every time I needed something in a lower kitchen cupboard, I squatted as low as felt comfortable, instead of just bending over. One day I was so low, I realized I was nearly in a full squat and just eased all the way down. I got stronger fast and now I can squat down and stand back up without any upper body assistance at all. I can get down on the floor quite easily, squatting, kneeling, sitting cross-legged, and then stand up without any arm support. Amazing. Life changing. I am 65 and about 30 lbs. overweight. About a year ago I made a defeated, whiney comment that it's hard for me to get out of bed in the morning and didn't know where to start. 😂Well, I decided to do something about that. If I can do it…

I bought your healthy hips program. Going through it very slowly since I'm 72 and have a problem with an obturator internus musce on one side. But I can see an improvement in things I didn't expect. Moving around on the floor from one position to another was really painful...but that's basically gone away. I'm really happy I got the program. You inspired me to think it was muscles and not just age. And you were right! Would love a follow along!

Thanks for posting this! I used to have good flexibility, but I had surgery in May 2023 & slow recovery, and after having been unable to stretch or workout for 3 months, I really needed this.

Your videos are very clear and easy to follow Matt. I have been doing ones specifically for knee and groin pain this padt year and now I'm completely pain free and back to walking normally. Previously physiotherapy over 18 months got me to about 80% ok, but your exercises gave me a full 100% recovery. I'd love to have the follow along UA-cam video for the hip stretched, and advice on how to do the contractions you mentioned to build strength.

I just cam back from an 8 mile run. Been resting this week so today was my 1st run of the week. My hip flexors were bothering me. This video came at perfect timing. Please do make a follow along for this video!!! Love your dry sense and sarcastic sense of humor. TY. My hips do feel better. What I learned is to hold each pose for at 30-60 seconds.
