The parking lot is cracked and has potholes. The paths are cracked. I really hope the merger with Cedar Fair lends to this park getting some beautification. Thank Jeebus Golden Bear is gone. What an eyesore!
Wasnt that bad imo
It was actually a nice place.
@@santaclaritadrone2844 I agree, it was once a nice place. I feel like the park has been neglected for years.
I wish they hadn’t taken Log Jammer out years ago! (The world’s longest log flume ride…with TWO drops!). Ugh! 🤷🏼♂️
I miss that ride
they need to bring back log jammer!!!!!!!!!!
New and improved would be awesome
I miss the Frozen Lemonade and Corn booths they used to have over in the DC area...
I was going to say that they need more vendor booths all over the park with drinks, pretzels, hot dogs, churros, etc! They need to fill up the dead zones with things to eat and do!
They should have kept the Log Jammer ride. Classic and fun.
I miss it for sure
Something to keep in mind that is that Railblazer has trains that are motorbike themed. Family coaster doesn't equate to "epic" so I don't think it's going to be a family coaster. I still hold to the idea that the bird is the color scheme of the trains and that the orange looks like vest restraints. It also looks roadrunner-esque, which would bolster my thoughts about the bird symbolism. I will keep my fingers crossed that the RMC TRex tease was for SFMM.
I don't think the RMC t rex will ever be a thing, and I do see a pretty cool ride being put there, but I doubt it will be a giga if it is. That will be awesome, but if not, then hopefully they add something good there even if it is not a record breaking ride
The lot is being resurfaced one part at a time once the panels are constructed and finished.
If they go for a giga it will probably be a B&M I think they will get a bulk deal because they have 4 in the park already. Still hopeful for an intiman giga though
Why were the parking trams discontenued?
Always enjoy the Magic Mtn updates
Happy you do! I always love checking up on the park 😁
IMO it's definitely gonna be some sort of launched coaster.
Imagine if they decided to get with Mack rides and had them design a giga coaster with a similar layout as Hyperia at Thorpe Park! That’d be pretty cool and they’d beat out Knot’s with a giga coaster!
I agree with you 100% about a new water ride. Maybe they figure that people go to Hurricane Harbor when they want water rides. Great update as always.
You are killing it with content! ❤❤
It’s gotta be a dive coaster!
Think about it the land they are marking is too small for a giga, and to big for a flat ride. MM already had almost all types of coaster. They don’t have a dive coaster. Dive coasters are fairly compact because of steep drops and lifts. The motorbike idea doesn’t make sense to me because west coast racers is literally that type of coaster. DIVE COASTER is my guess
So basically from what I’ve heard sfmm updated local autocad records that show a possible spaghetti kids like the one sfft just got, just sayin 🤷♂️
As much as I enjoy seeing all these parks being new things, it does suck seeing so many trees and greenery being torn down and cut. Also how about adding new rest places with shade, misters 😅
Love the very chilled intro music and the content👍
Almost thought it was Park Bros! 😂
The area in DC needs to have some interactive elements. DC Universe use to have lots of that. Now its just boring
Please do another update, love to see how they do with solar.
MM doesn't have attendance figures that allow for the kind of improvements it really needs---come on, SF/CF, the parking lot should have been repaved. However, SF Fiesta park in Texas has an even lower annual attendance figure, yet, unlike SFMM, it doesn't give off the vibes of a failing business. But when Fiesta was first built, its original owner was more demanding, so SF has been able to rely on that.
Dylan said that because of spring break, MM is busier than usual. But the walkways aren't too packed. So SFMM is facing a Catch-22. To fix it up, millions of $$ need to be spent. But to do that more easily requires more paying customers per year. However, too many visitors aren't impressed with MM, so they don't bother to drop by. So the vicious cycle goes on.
That should all be changing soon. Not only will the merger and selling off of parks free up extra cash, but the solar project will power the entire park.
The bird on the sign might be a robin.
I went to the Saw maze the first time it opened and I was greatly disappointed. The sets were great but they only had 1 scare actor following you through the entire maze and I barely noticed him or her
Oh no, well that’s a bummer it wasn’t the best experience. Hopefully they do a better job for Halloween when it comes to the performers.
I've been watching the change at Six Flags Magic Mountain also. There are about 6 or 8 surveyor markers that can be seen while standing in line at Full Throttle. This would possibly indicate that the project will extend over that way from the Golden Bear Theater. The cement seats may be there a while because of erosion - it would be a exposed hill, with nothing to hold it back during the "project" . Also, the extensive solar project is to be able to run the Park 100%. Which has to take in account any new attractions being thought about.
I think it’s going to be a massive rollercoaster. You missed scrambler by crazanity too. They are tearing it down. Next time you go, go to scrambler and look. You’ll see bulldozers inside and a sign out front that says we are working on a new rider experience so something is about tone built right there too
Thanks for these updates it is so fun to have the anticipation of "what will the new ride be???" ... and just to think there are people that work for Magic Mtn and whatever company is going to build it that already know exactly what it is. There's already blueprint plans that we as the general public would give anything to see right now haha. Soon enough like you said it will really start ramping up :)
the park wasn't busy almost walk on for many of the rides Except for REv that built upto a 120min line
roaring rapids opened today... (showed up on the screen with 25min wait)
The employee parking under the solar shades was completely repaved and striped.
I think it would be cool if Six Flags rethemed Scream one of these days into the movie franchise I think that would be pretty cool and maybe they could match it with an entirely new land and entrance at that side of the park because lets face it i think mm needs a new entrance Cedar points newer one is 10 years old I mean I think its time.
So i feel like its going to be part of the steam punk area (i.e. scream, twisted colossus, Goliath etc)
a vekoma bermuda blitz or a rmc trex would be so cool. my dream ride would be a extreme spinner
How long is Wonder Woman down?
Not sure but I’ll take a look when I’m at the park next.
So I was told that it will have onride audio so with that clue I am thinking of a motorbike family coaster!!
Last time I went here was like 12 years ago when I was in high school. So weird seeing it change so much and not seeing rides that used to be there.
You're telling me. Last time I was there was Feb. 1998.Colossus front row in the rain was insane and too much fun.
Cool updates

We are visiting Cali in June after many year away, was thinking of hitting MM up. How bad are the crowds in summer now?
It depends on the day but during the week, (Tuesday through Thursday) is not that bad.
It is very very hot though. Went with my friends and it was 111 degrees! Wear sunscreen and drink lots of water :)
They will pave after the panels are up
Well that’s good to hear.
They should’ve added a parking structure AND solar panels ontop. :/ this large flat spread out land of concrete sucks.

The steampunk bird suggests to me a B&M wing coaster, a coaster type MM does not have (except X2, derp).
Technically, X2 is a wing coaster (based on its seating) but also a 4th Dimension, so SFMM does have one.
@@x2tatsucoasters9756 Derp...I forgot about X2

The solar panels in the the parking lot is a big win for the park and the guests.
Totally agree, it’s going to be nice to come back to a not as hot car.
Dillon can you do a video on the hotel coming?
What hotel?
That was an April fools joke
Six Flags still cutting corners instead of doing it the right way. Adding solar panels on top of pavement that needs a major overhaul, is just lazy and cheap.
Those solar panels may not offer the best shade, lived in Vegas for years with solar covered parking and it actually brought in more heat, birds would fry on it. Also at a certain point in the day that reflection is gonna be crazy.
