Lovely review. Everytime the Cullinan is turning, I can see the rear wheels slightly turned the opposite direction very interesting thing to see. My Porsche Panamera Turbo does the same thing, could rarely tell or feel it when driving.
I'll never afford a Rolls Royce and the Cullinan is stunning but I really prefer the cars the Phantom is just majestic.....as a possible matter of interest Rolls Royce are no stranger to off road....T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) had a Rolls Royce armoured car.....which handled the Desert no problem!

Rolls royces are now bought by the Russians, Chinese and Arabs, none of whom are known for their discerning and understated good taste...

It would be almost impossible to get solid wood to be stable enough to survive a vehicle interior without warping or otherwise moving (and probably cracking/splitting). Also, if different sections of the vehicle are "bookmatched," then you're almost certainly looking at veneer.

Just saw a video of the Bentley Bentayga. Uhhhhhh, I like the Bentley better. More stylish, more sporty (it is a Bentley, after all) and has some nice lines. The Rolls is just too plain. The big drawback is price, for each of them. With the plethora of SUVs on the market, in varying configurations, why buy a car that costs this much? Yeah, you have the “Ooh La La” factor of it being a Rolls, but after you realize that $250,000.00 just fell off after a year, you find Ooh La La has a price.

Really? It's a box. I suppose it's comfortable and all that, but Rolls Royce really are sticking up two fingers to their traditional market. People I know who used to buy Rolls Royce now go to Bentley. In our market, the current range are all considered crass and vulgar, with their twinkly lights in the roof and over use of electronics. Gadgets are no substitute for luxury. I have a 1965 Silver Cloud III that I bought in 1982. Nothing could persuade me to buy in the current range. I had a test drive in a Phantom. The door handles were loose and the indicator shorted out. A huge price, which does not hold. My car is valued at about £75000. I paid £15000.
RR and Bentley, as well as most other uber luxury brands are incredibly, disappointingly uninvolved in the electric car industry. You would think they would want to lead the way rather than wait to follow other brands technology.

In fact veneer is applied to only the finest furniture, it can be cut, matched and shaped in miraculous ways. Modern glues make it astonishingly durable too.

If you put a trunk on this car, it would look like it had been designed that way from day. Its a traditional RR with the rear cut off. OH!, and jacked up a little
I was listening to that part in minute 4:30 when the presenter mentions a entirely new experience of thrust and the weight... reminded me to the first time I drove a Rolls, it was a Silver Seraph, and I had exactly the same impression: how can something as big and as heavy, accelerate as quick while keeping perfectly balanced and refined. That's a Rolls Royce, they are like that.

How can Rolls Royce produce something so hideous It looks like a 2012 Range Rover Sport ran into a wall and mated with the Bentley Bentayga. Just a shame it ended up with the Bentley's genes as a mangled Range Rover would still be more appealing than this product.
When the first Cadillac Escalade was introduced I recall thinking what an abomination it was and how insane GM was for coming out with a Caddy SUV. How naive I was.
People think automakers are in business to make cars. But like all companies, they're first and foremost in the biz to make money. This one will make a lot for RR.

Wealthy people are usually smart with their finances, and cars (outside limited editions), make really poor investments, so it really makes sense they wouldn't just squander away a few hundred thousand. I've actually heard some people say that driving a Rolls made them uncomfortable. Both because the car was drawing too much attention to themselves and of the constant worry of having it damaged. Definitely a vehicle that's not for everyone.
Jokes aside, the kind of person that will be leasing or purchasing a vehicle like this will not be concerned for $300,000 or $400,000 houses, unless they're small rental properties, or something to that extent. The likelihood that they're living in a home work tens of millions is far higher.

first of all. go to the Roll Royce dealer. and find out. if you can even be approved for mopping the floor.
The Cullinan is 210" long, 85" wide, and 74" high. For comparison, a Chevy Tahoe is 6" shorter and 4" narrower. But the Tahoe is a full 2" taller!

It looks like 4-6 ft was chopped off the rear. I think if it were stretched it might look less shitty than it does now.

Jokes aside, the kind of person that will be leasing or purchasing a vehicle like this will not be concerned for $300,000 or $400,000 houses, unless they're small rental properties, or something to that extent. The likelihood that they're living in a home work tens of millions is far higher.
