It's just piecing together the information we know! I've used that door hooking techniche for years just when idle in my worlds, now I found a use for it and I was glad I could share lol

I feel like the instant hoik/tunneling could be quite amazing for just normal runs as well, specifically at the start of the game where pickaxes are quite slow
I've seen people use it before, but it was mainly to break into the Dungeon
Used it to make an exit out of golem boss room before I had better pickaxe.
It's obnoxious because it's one way (you can't go back) and can cause a lot of screenshake. You're also often in the darkness. But they do have their uses, such as sneaking into misc places you can't access or getting through blocks (eg: hoiking through Ebonstone to break a Shadow Orb earlygame)
Keep on the challenge, glad someone is mad enough to try it!

That undergound hoik system might make it's way into my normal playthrough ngl
It's really easy to do and set up once you know the set up. Without the challenge limitations you can set them up with just a pick, a hammer and a single platform
Just don't do them through the desert

it's nice to loot the dungeon early, just put a bed near the hoik, go into dungeon pre skeletron and watch it turn into a graveyard

@@randominternetuser7432 as long as you place the bed outside the dungeon it's not a softlock (i don't think you can put the spawn point inside the dungeon due to the dungeon walls tho)
Damn, I'm gonna use the instant hoik setup in my normal worlds now, that seems to work so well

@@zabo9160 Lol, I love theorycrafting since I get to use my big ol brain of mine. I also had a rough childhood so I love helping others whenever possible, since nobody was there to help me I guess.
I'm really glad Stardew Valley's "Booty Express" is used in other games too :) (booty express is basically just using chairs to move faster in game time because time is paused while getting on and off a chair)

I am genuinely astonished at how _seemingly easy_ this run feels to me. I know in practice it'll be leagues more difficult and I'm not masochistic enough to try it out myself, but the fact that the two major limitations (transportation and crafting) can be overcome surprisingly effortlessly with a bit of tedious infrastructure is amazing.
If you are on Xbox with a mouse there is an icon on the screen you can click to open your inventory. This would just help for qol since you don't have to always be near a chest or the guide.
No keyboard gameplay: Right click, left click, right click, left click..

You can also make a chair only area by placing them in a diagonal grid rather than a horizontal grid.
seeing as how a skyblock seed is coming to 1.4.5 following some skyblock challenge runs, i genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if red sees this and decides to make a secret seed with this kind of ruleset in the (inevitable) 1.4.6 update.

2:44 wait lmao, this used to be my way to dismount the minecart for like 1 year until my dumbass found out you can use the mount button to also dismount it 😂, in fact the first time i ride a minecart, i was panicked cuz idk how to get off from it, and i ended up watching a short youtube video showing THIS method, instead of pressing the mount button 💀🥲

Better way to get a boost of speed. Grapple the center of a door, then open it. I don't know the speed but it doesn't require breaking anything. It should be possible once any hook type is acquired.

for the door grapple strat, instead of destroying the door you can use smart cursor while you already grappled on the door, this could also work with the slime block idea instead of breaking the rail to do so.
You need Ctrl key to use smart cursor.

@@internetgamer2 Probably. I've seen that whilst EoC and the Twins will fly upwards when it hits daytime, if you can speed through the day fast enough and keep close enough during their ascent they return to their normal AI when night hits again.

if mount button was allowed it would make canceling and getting on minecarts a lot easier

a simple elevator could be made using the slimy saddle (since you can click with them and use them, then get rid of them the same way as minecarts) with a water pit, I feel like it would just be slightly easier to setup
unfortunately, ascension with the slimy saddle is still VERY slow so the minecart thing probably saves more time
unless EoW comes from under you, it will bounce you higher, of course the inner tube would just be a better alternative until you get to the top.@@cruncyart
