Come experience drumming, stepping and vocal weavings.
We launch with a foundation of Layne Redmond inspired practices.
An integrative approach to feeding rhythm in our body.
We will embody how time is divided.
Our feet become our metronome, our heart beat and foundation.
We begin with simple rhythm patterns and integrate the voice.
This is a whole body mind approach.
The stepping serves as a way for our feet to become like a metronome keeping a root pulse while we weave in drumming patterns. It also is a way for us to entrain, to keep together in time and unified. It will rewire our brains, grow new neural pathways and balanced both hemispheres of our brain.
It's a wonderful skill set to cultivate.
At times challenging, fun and so rewarding.
These skills also allow the possibilities to do processions, a practice
done since ancient times.

Hi, is it optimal for beginners?
If you already know the names of the strokes, how to play simple patterns and play patterns upon hearing it recited then it should be fine. Otherwise I recommend an Introduction. There are live recorded workshops available if needed.
