Been thinking about switching the gunsight out for either Nav equipment or a G-suit. But its an experimental gunsight so in theory it does have the option to improve accuracy against moving targets, I just need to upgrade the part and roll it a few times. I find the Ta152 to be a fascinating airframe in the game. Its performance in game feels similar to the P51H before I had it specialized, and while the guns are temperamental, when they hit they hit REALLY hard. As for the length of the wings, technically you're correct that longer wings are best for high altitude flight and not super maneuverable. However, at the same time a straight wing configuration is the most maneuverable wingshape in regards to the horizontal and vertical aspects of flight. For example, a straight winged jet, has better maneuverability than a swept or delta winged jet. The drawback is the dramatic reduction in speed with straight wings. As for the head ons... I fight in the vertical, aircraft that can lead a target up into the air and then turn on them are what I'm used to, I probably would have done that in a P51, BF109, or the Migs. Overall, good assessment, if you want a challenge, fly the Ta152 in sniper mode :) Its more fun than I first thought it would be
It is a bit more wiggly than one would think, esp coming from the 190s. Performance wise I liked it, from what I remember...just the guns that drove me nuts!
Sniper planes.. either ya love ‘em or ya hate ‘em.. Funny enough, I just cashed in my Free XP to skip this plane. Does not seem fun, life is too short.. On to the Ta 183 for me😊 Good flyin’ on your team tonight HZero!
@funnyxavier5121 it was a fun match! Good luck with the Ta 183. I wanted to like it but the guns were finicky! I may have to try it again at some point.
@@AytchZero Yeah, it seems like a challenge but I’m looking forward to it. I remember another UA-camr of a few years ago saying that 30mm cannons troll the best of players😂 Probably true! They seem to be very similar to the Me 262.. But we’ll see, I’ll let ya know how it goes. o>
Not to mention the Ta 152’s autoaim is atrocious to begin with since it was nerfed prior to the release of the Horten… But when you say it’s a bad idea to head on with a sniper plane, it’s equally a bad idea to head-on against one for ironically the exact same reasons. Also the Ta 183 is arguably a good tier 9, it’s just a little stiff. :) I’m going to need to take mine out and send a replay your way… and a 109 E game you’ll actually get to…
I switched back to the 20's on the 183 for just that reason - too stiff to easily line up the 30s. And yeah, I agree. Jousting a Sniper is a 50/50 coin flip. A 109E....3 game? 😃
Ta-152 was nerfed long time ago. It's autoaim now is something like on attack planes (that are not suppose to shoot planes), because many good pilots were really good snipers with it. Gunsight, pilot aim skills do help a little. However, currently there are better sniper planes exist, like Yak-9 line and Japanese heavy fighters; they shoot more accurately. I like how Ta-152 looks, if it had short wings it would've looked just like Fw-190D, just a little longer.
Holy shit people still play this game! I thought it was dead! And it seems we got classes now? I'll go see how it is doing. But sincerely this game would be much better as a PVE game.

TA-152 used to be meta

The 20mm setup on the Ta-152 works great. I hate the three MK103 cannon thing required by specialization.

I love the 190 so I wouldn't mind if it looked a little more like it. 🙂
FW-252 is very charitably considered sub-optimal. I would call it "Tier X crap."
FW252. Great roll rate. Guns not accurate. Is fast
