Hey, Anastasia! I just saw ITM for a (personal high) 7th time, with Slipknot. Their live show is *outstanding*. And yeah, the Grammys have a tendency of maybe nominating some deserving bands, but then awarding someone... let's say "weird", so I don't take them very seriously. Rock on, Ms Luna! (And Mr R&R) 🤘😎👍

Nah Body Count is metal, they have been doing their thing for 30 years. Despite Ice-T being well known as a rapper and actor, he is a metalhead first. His first love in music is hard rock and metal since he was a teenager. Look back to the two Breakin' movies, he was one of the earliest pioneers of mixing hip-hop and rock with heavy percussions and guitar riffs. Only other pioneers in this mix were the Beastie Boys. Look at old music videos especially the Anthrax-Public Enemy collab. Ice-T was there sitting backstage as they were performing. That is how much of a metalhead Ice-T is. The thing about Ice-T, his lyrics goes to very darkest places that few in metal will go to. And certainly no one in hip-hop would even dare touch.
Great little biography. Thanks for that. I’m still an infant in metal so I’m loving all the history that’s in the comments. It’s so overwhelming, because there’s a lot of years involved for a lot of these bands. 🤘🏼
