100th subscriber here. Makes me miss my 04 xl. I got it from my mom and my little sister drove it and my now fiancé as well lol. Always had fun in mine.
look s great! just bought an 06, I was surprised how sharp they turn for an suv. Might try this down the road as they ride a little low for some of the local off roading, thanks for the vid!
So far I've had my motofab lift on my trailblazer for a year and it's about to be going on an 03 trailblazer of mine and I'm getting the full body lift on it friends hate it cause I've showed up there jeeps before lol
I still have problem with my swaybar links, I extended it and it still not working, I remove the sway bar front and rear, but its not fun to drive, so I’m thinking to relocate the bracket at least for the front swaybar what do you think ?
Looks better I want to lift mine and put bigger tires on it while still keeping it looking classy. I have 2008 envoy Denali with v8 tuned and few other mods with ascender taillights. My only thing is how mine will look with body kit it has.
While Blake had them they held up great but they are gone now since he is trying to fit 1 ton axles under it now. Pretty sure he just got them off of amazon
Thought that it caused the 4wd to take a poop so we decided to throw 1 tons under it. Found out it wasn't because of the lift though but no turning back now!
Subscribed. Good content. I have the exact same car, 2004 Envoy, black, and in Iowa too! 😂 if you don’t mind answering, besides the 50 dollars for the lift kit, how much did it run you for the spacers and tires? Mine has 165 thousand miles on it so I’m wondering how much longer it will last and if doing this would be worth it at that mileage? I’m interested in keeping it as my daily driver because honestly you can’t buy a car like these anymore (small true 4x4 SUV) without spending a ton on something like a jeep. And those don’t even come with the luxuries that 2004 gmc came with! Let me know your thoughts and thank you!
In all I was less than $1000 in with everything. $50ish for the lift, $150ish for the spacers and $700 for the tires mounted and balanced. I would recommend flipping the upper control arms if this is going to be a long term lift for you. It will save your ball joints in the long run. If you’re in Iowa I know a place where you can buy all of it pretty cheap.
@@IdiotsOutWrenchingAround i mean why not until it snaps like scott colson he replaced his entire front end and it snapped on the freeway. but now im on 88s shimmed .5in 33s lockers 8.6 rear full skids bumper winch lights aux batter etc etc
Hey have you ran into any kinds of issues with this type of lift that goes over strut due to your envoy being 4wd? Many go with the spacers that go in the strut. Looks sick though man!
Only issue I ran into was the front diff giving up on me. After 230k miles it didn’t like 32s and full send 4wd. But don’t worry it’ll be coming back bigger and better. Stay tuned.
@@IdiotsOutWrenchingAround I appreciate the response, I’ll be looking into this lift! Thanks! Also last question, how does it ride with lift on? Smooth or is the ride a bit harsh?
It was riding fine, but started having 4wd trouble. Made a decision to solid axle swap it and found that the problem was just the axle disconnect for the passenger cv axle. Not a major issue, but we’re in too deep with the axle swap to go back.
For a complete non-car person (me) who needs a rugged SUV for our very snowy and icy winters carting my children around - what would you recommend between a 2004 Yukon or a 2004 Envoy? I’m looking at both online and honestly can’t tell if their differences are huge.
The Yukon will more than likely have a V8 because it’s a bigger truck as well. I have an 08 Envoy Denali and I love it, has the 5.3 in it but unfortunately no 4wd.
Bro looks freaking Awsoem. I got a 2004 as well. Got 3” front 3” back supreme suspension lift and it sits higher, didn’t put as big as tires on it bc I didn’t want to rub, I got 265/70r17 Falken Wildpeak AT3w and they are fantastic.
We were actually working on putting 1 ton axels and this thing to make it a rock crawler but that has proven itself a bigger task than we anticipated. Hopefully will get something on this soon!
I’m from VA Beach And I noticed your buddy had a Pioneer hat on. Ask me how I knew that when nobody else in this side of the country knows what Pioneer is besides a Speaker or stereo manufacturer lol🤣🤣🤣 I only know because my gf has family in Northern Iowa lol
Dude that shit is funny AF😂 Idiots out wrenching 🔧 around! I love it 😅
12:30. “It bolted right up with no issues Except for all the issues I ran into bolting it up” lol
You must admit these SUVS look better than any crossover now days!
"They dont make em like they used to" is still a valid quote nowadays

Thank you for subscribing! They can be fun!
Definitely admire you giving the long version with the unexpected difficulties
My car repairs usually turn out like the one here, not like the other ones on UA-cam.
I drive an 08 envoy and ive been low-key thinking about doing something like this
Exactly the same here... looking up ideas 👍
same here lol
love my envoy
Beginning of this vid is hilarious😂😂😂Glad you got it
u should put the coil spring lift in the back bc it looks the like back is sagging

Honestly one of the best mod videos I've ever seen, seeing as how I have a lifted trailblazer!😎
Do you have to replace bushings more often now?
Looking good after the modification
Enjoyed
Envoy are awesome SUVs .
Nothing like reading the old trailblazer and envoy forums.
Excellent job , I've learn a lot thank you !!!
I'm about to attempt 35s x 12.5 wide ... same truck
I did this 2 years ago , and ended up replacing the front cv axles in a year.
I dont think this is what caused mine to go bad, though it did help it but solid axel swap here we come!
@@IdiotsOutWrenchingAround yea I replaced mine twice. Took out the leveling blocks , and hasn't had a problem since.
Then install the load sensing coil shocks from Monroe on the rear for extra lift
I did the same thing to my 03 trailblazer that my mother-in-law gave me when I totaled my Acura lol
They DIY vids made it look so easy
It definitely was not easy but was happy with how it turned out!
Well you did a good job 👍👍👍👍 looks good as hell to me and you didn't even have to pay for labor👍
This may be a bit late, but it's easier if you unbolt the bottom of the strut yoke from the lower control arm.
Yes it’s a bit late. And 2, believe me it wasn’t going to move. Iowa did it’s toll on. It was rusted in place forever.
Music was badass while watching video!
saw the rifle looks good bro
Just bought a $1,500 02 Envoy and damn I need to do this.
Thanks for the video. I have a 2004 2w and want to level lift it. Is yours 4wdrive

Can we de badge it, and plasti dip all of the chrome?
No plasti dip. Spray paint or nothin.
@Jmichaeljay I de-badged mine
Have fun getting those wheel spacers off after this winter when they rust to the hub!
TheBuckaroo27 All he needed to do was put some antiseize on the back of the spacers potential problem solved.
Yupp rub some antisieze on the back of the spacer and walla problem solved
Never had issues after winter removing spacers. I run 1.5" and live where they love salt
Hello...!! I am mounting the exact same thing on my 2005 Envoy XL the only question I have is if you used levelers only on the front
Yes it was just the blocks on the front
I want it to look wide with my wheels I bought could I get wheel spacers?
I have a 2007 what are some things I can add on to increase speed and performance
LS swap and turbo.
19:55 lmao.
My Allen wrenches are in the nightstand? 😂 did not want to wake the wife getting them 😝 why are the tools in the nightstand
Don’t worry they’re back in the nightstand where they’re safe and sound. 😂
i love how he had to use the grinder to on the stock sway bar links just like me
Death lift, it will break ball joints . Look into supreme suspensions version
Nah. Looking into 4 link and 1 tons.

Did u do any modes to the rear so the wheel would fit besides the spacers.
Nope. They fit without the spacers.

I live in Washington county just ordered the same lift and spacers for my trailblazer can I get some help lol.
lol its not too bad. I actually used to live in Washington county also.
Deathlift? Why not spend the .oney on the proper safe lift?
What is a proper “safe” lift? 1 ton solid axle swap? Coming up sir.
