So heartbroken that Jaquie passed away. My heart goes out to her husband Judd and precious dog Harlow. Jaquie reached a lot of people in her short life and will be greatly missed!
For those folks that don't know Jacque and Harlow on YT. Well unfortunately as of 4/29/19 due to complications with her feeding tube, and other issues due to her chronic illnesses. Jacque Beckwith passed away leaving behind her husband Judd and Harlow also, survived by her parents. RIP Jacque you will be missed. 🌷🙏🌷
Jacqui was truly a blessing to the service dog community & people in general she will be greatly missed💕She passed about a month or so ago, she has helped me tremendously to train our pup, she had such a beautiful soul and truly had so much to offer I’m forever grateful❤️
Yes! I watch her too and I love her and Harlow. Other than Epilepsy and Asthma, I have all of the same diagnoses' that jaquie has(Ehlers Danlos, POTs/Dysautonomia, Chiari Malformation, Cranioservical instability, and Mast Cell Activation Disorder), so I'm thinking hard about the future and if and when I should get myself a harlow :)
@The Doctors I don't know if your aware, Jaquie tragically passed away a year ago April. Her death was sudden and a huge shock to many. Her intestines herniated and wrapped themselves around her feeding tube, which then lost blood flow causing Jaquie to go into Septic shock. Jaquie's best friend told us in one of her UA-cam videos, That Harlow laid with Jaquie in her hospital bed and cried. She knew it was goodbye. That breaks my heart. This video beings tears to my eyes. She was a great friend, mentor and inspiration to me and thousands more. Gone from this world but forever in our hearts. She left a huge imprint on this world. I learned so much about service dogs when I knew nothing. Now I'm on my journey to get my own. I still am encouraged and find Jaquie's UA-cam videos incredibly helpful. Her UA-cam is Chronically Jaquie for anyone interested. Harlow is still living with Judd, Jaquie's husband. They had just signed papers on there first home together. Judd moved there things in and organized best he could, the house was custom made to help fit some of Jaquie's needs. She never got to step inside there home which Judd calls "the house Jaquie built." Or "Jaqs house." That was one of her last videos that her friend posted. I encourage anyone seeing this video, to go look at her UA-cam. You will learn so much.
I came here because when I was watching one of jaquie videos I saw it and I love Harlow she so sweet and funny and takes care Jaquie so much edit: yes jaquie is how you spell her name
Subscriber of Chronically Jaquie for sometime now. Very fun to watch and educational, too! As someone dealing with chronic illness that may need a service dog in the future this has really been a great place to get some information about service dogs and the roles they perform for day to day tasks. #ChronicallyJaquie #Harlow #servicedogs
Jaquie will be deeply missed for Many years. Harlow is with Judd and retired... just being a dog. However... Seizure alert Can be taught if pheremone samples are carefully collected During a seizure. We used special tweezers to hold the cotton pads to collect mine so that no other smell would be on it, and my Service Dog Bentley trained and got the samples right 9 times out of 10 at just 4 months using a control (unscented) sample in addition to the pheremone sample and switching them back and forth. It's the same training process as for diabetic alert.
I dont understand why its a problem in US... here in Denmark you have a kind of neckless around the dog that says "i am a servicedog" then you can bring it anywhere... I have never heard of any problems, only that some people cant stop touching the dog-
jydeinden It's because people don't understand the laws and businesses don't inform management of them. Yes, service dogs usually wear vests and should be allowed everywhere but some people are still ignorant and think all dogs are pets and not allowed.
HealthyishGal the only problem I found in your statement is that is no laws stating that all services dogs have to wear a vest, because there was a service dog in my residence hall that didn't wear a vest when I saw the dog. So, sometimes people who work at public places look for that vest and if the dog lacks the vest, the dog is declared as a pet, even if it is a service dog. Also there is a law in the US that it is illegal to ask for documents, like a card, stating that the dog is a service dog. That law should be fixed because too many people state that there dog is a service dog, when that dog is just a pet and then the dogs cause trouble in some way like barks, tries to attack real services dogs, etc.
Spottedtime I said that "service dogs USUALLY wear vests". Never said that they're required to. Of course you don't know me personally but I'm totally on top of service dog laws. And businesses are only allowed to ask two questions: 1- is that a service dog, 2- what task work has it been trained for. Handlers can't be asked for a demonstration of tasks.
There's also a problem with people who want to take their pets everywhere faking them as SDs (you can get a vest and "registration" online easily even though SDs aren't required to have them) and then, when they obviously don't behave like an SD (barking, invading personal space of others, even biting), the managers of the places they visit become suspicious of legitimate SDs as well, causing problems. As a result, there are laws limiting what establishment employees can ask about the dog and owner. Then, SD fakers find it easier to get away with it when they aren't asked as many questions. It's a vicious cycle and an excellent solution would be to make faking an SD illegal with severe penalties. Right now, only a few states have laws like that but we need a federal law for it. It makes me sick to see people taking advantage of a law designed to protect the group of people who truly need it and consequently damaging the attitude around that group.
She herself even said she is prone to seizures and the video was not that lengthy but on the original video it does state she has multiple chronic illnesses
Chronically Jaquie on youtube she does vlogs gives training tips and goes into more detail on her illness etc helper_dog_harlow is her instagram name if anyone is wondering !
Anyone seen the video where Harlow grabs Ranch instead of water?
Niamh Owens and then when she was told to get the water bottle you could see her just thinking “but, I just gave it to you”
She has her moments

Service dogs are life savers I know many military Veterans with them. They truly are a blessing.
Kelly Lynn Agreed! My dog saves my life everyday. If I didn’t have my Service Dog, I could end up in he hospital
You’re thinking of emotional support animals for veterans not service dogs
