Another great history lesson. Thank you for including all the non-kit items that these companies also made. I am not sure about their aircraft, but the Faller building kits include multi-coloured parts, such as walls, roof, doors and windows, etc. That way they can be put on a layout without painting, but they always have a plastic sheen, and seem to attract dust more, so I always paint my models. Thank you for all your hard work on these videos, and adding to our knowledge of kit history.
Loved the intro!!! Here’s the “Rank & File” of the household: Listed by authority and power……… 1. Honey 2. Mrs. Max 3. Everyone else 4. Max Great documentary buddy!!!!
OMG! That could have been my house! Love the intro! Yes, I get those thoughtful reminders from my better half all the time. Great video. Never knew much about the Faller company. Thanks for the info! As always God bless you and yours and thanks again for all you do! Model On Sir! 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Max, Being a model railroader from the early 1970's to present day, I'm very familiar with the Faller name. Also according to the 90th Anniversary edition of the Walthers Catalog, Faller products are imported from Germany to North America by the Wm. K. Walthers company. According to the Walthers catalog, the Faller company manufactures everything from Adheasives and Paint, to power & train controls, scenery, signals, tools, figures, vehicles and structures. This was another very interesting manufacturer history video, loaded with lots of neat history on the Faller company. Also loved the intro and the better half keeping you in line. Yes us UA-camrs are waiting 😊 Thank you Max for continuing to upload these interesting videos about the history of the hobby industry. Cheers, Rich S.
Thank you for the Faller 'history'. I was into HO trains while living in Germany in the early 60s. Because the building kits used a lot of pre-colored plastics painting was minimal. I might have that windmill stashed somewhere............cheers.
I'd never heard of them. Great and informative video once again. I was however almost deafened by the drastic leap in sound levels at the end. Beware headphone users.
Great! Now we need documentary about Kibri company which is quite unique because they mostly specialize in autocrane, heavyweight transport, construction and mining vehicles, agricultural vehicles and so on - 1/87 H0 scale colored plastic functional kits to assemble and play. What I especially like is modular approach which allows easy combination of parts between kits without surgery. And the amount of spare parts, usually around 20% of kit contents. I have all their autocranes and keep buying, just cannot stop having so much fun of assembly, decoration and playing with 2m+ high beasts.
@@maxsmodels only when you have time, health and patience to do that, Max. I just feel uncomfortable about so little popularity of engineering vehicles in scale model world. There are few enthusiasts, some models and even events, but it's a tiny fraction comparing to Nazi tanks and Spitfires which every model making company releases every season. Kibri is well known and respected company, I feel they deserve your story.
Thanks for this great video! I remember we had that little kiosk on our model railroad in the 70s. I just recently discovered their line of 1/100 aircraft kits, collecting them will be a real challenge since they are so rare. So far I only have the Me-109, which is of quite good quality for its time.
And satillite controlled faller cars which are amazing.... All cars are amazing and if you have trains without them it's incomplete.... I think it's only for HO AND N though
Great intro. We get to see that Max is in 4th place in a home of 2 adults and a cat. Thanks for the history of Faller. It is sad as you watch and listen of what happened to the German toy industry over the decades. In addition the same fate befell the German optical, train, model, electronics, and appliance industries. A massive cheaper labour force and automated production facilities in S.E. Asia. These German industries were all but decimated over the decades. Some still live on and do perform very well. I do not rememebr seeing a Faller product but I do remember seeing Pola. Thanks once again max.
The intro was hilarious! However, the first picture of Faller toys - to the left 1:07 and 11:08 - I had that box with the wooden bricks when I was little! I can remember the patterns ad the picture of the lit of the box. What memories. Thank you Max! 🥲
Very informative overview Max, Faller products certainly seem to be to a high standard and able to hold their own in a competitive market. Great intro too 🙂
Nice work as always. Loved the intro Max. Sounds familiar to me too! I've never built a Faller kit but I do remember them in local Model Railway shops back in the day.
Great video. Especially appreciative of the Thomas music on the closing credits. I once tried to make my own sawdust scenic material. It takes forever to dry. You can speed up the process by using Ritt dyes dissolved in wood alcohol IF you wear rubber gloves and work outside in a well ventilated area. I found out about this while learning about furniture refinishing. Alcohol stains are decent penetrators with little or no grain raise and quick dry times. You also learn about color mixing as you mix the shades from Ritt clothes dye and not by buying maple or oak "packets".
Hey Max , thanks for sharing about Faller, i stumbled upon an Faller airplane model kit , confused a bit cuz im not familiar with the brand name. I'm enlightened now. Thank you so much. Have a great day 🎉

Faller Hit train is o scale, Faller E train and play train is G scale Narrow gauge that runs on O gauge track :-D in fact some modellers adapted them to run them as substitutes for expensive models.
The Faller HO slot cars and particularly the slot trucks were very nicely detailed compared to the Aurora trucks. The HO kit buildings look nice too, but the thin clear plastic packaging on some is getting so old that mine are starting to fall apart.
Hi Max, do you know brands as Volmer and Kibri? Both German and both famous for there train buildings etc. Maybe you can make a video of them aswell? Thanks, greetings from the Netherlands.
Max, love the "deer in headlights " look. Priceless !
welcome to my world
Busted by the Mrs!! Well we’ve all been there!
Faller Expert Cement is the finest plastic cement I have used- it even glues through paint!
It's my go-to cement. I like both the blue and orange bottle variations.

Hmm. I made a similar comment before I saw this. You just filled in 3rd place that I did not mention.
This video was very informative 👌👏👍, love it good job.

I have a few Faller buildings on my HO layout along with a few Pola ones. Somehow watching this makes them a little more special. Thanks Max.
thanks

Faller still makes some very nice N Scale model railroad structures.
Awsome video. Faller hunter's lookout tower is the first kit I ever made.
cool
Somewhere about 20 or 25 years ago the firma Dahlmann made many aircraft kits of Faller. (But not the convair )

Hi Max. I never tire of your manufacturer histories. Thanks for another fascinating video.
An interesting and enjoyable change of focus. "And now for something completely different..."
😄
Thanks for sharing Max! Very interesting history on Faller. Hope to see more of these videos! Model on! 😎
Very informative overview Max, Faller products certainly seem to be to a high standard and able to hold their own in a competitive market.
Great intro too 🙂
This jogs my memory when we had an HO train set. I always think of Life Like for all the trees, gravel, grass and everything else for dioramas.
The bit at the beginning with the wife was cute.
I'm addicted to your videos.
Keep at it.
Anyone else recognize the music at the end was used as the theme music for Thomas the Tank Engine?

Wonderful! Thanks so much for this wonderful story! Keep 'em coming!
Now that your homework is done , go out and play. Don't be later for dinner.
🤣
Thanks for this informative view of a somewhat obscure model company.
Terrific story, and you have impeccable taste in UA-cam videos to watch before getting busted by the Mrs. (Join the club!)
I thought you would appreciate that. 😁

Just noticed. Max has the same strange expression and sound that Honey has when Max talks to her.
