Not necessarily. The main reason the great powers pushed for Greece to become a monarchy was because a republic set a bad precedent. After the defeat of Napoleon the great powers wanted to permanently stomp out any revolutionary sentiment that could cause a potential repeat of the French Revolution. European monarchies were to support each-other and suppress any and all liberal movements. During the 1820's, liberalism and revolution were seen as a defeated fad, and many monarchs believed the revolutionary genie could be put back in the bottle so they could return to the good old days of the 1700's. A Hellenic Republic was too revolutionary, and might give the subjects of European monarchs ideas, so any excuse to establish a Greek kingdom was jumped on.

No, King Otto of Greece was a member of the House of Wittelsbach, which was the royal family of Bavaria. He was deeply unpopular in Greece and never properly abandoned his Bavarian roots, which led to him being thrown out of the country in the 1860's. The Greek government was again pressured to stay a monarchy, for similar reasons as in 1830. They tried to get a member of the British or Russian royal families to become King of Greece, but this was rejected, so they instead settled on a member of the Danish Royal Family (House of Glücksburg), who became George I of Greece. George I is the grandfather of Prince Phillip.
The Greek Monarchy was never all that popular. George I was well liked compared to Otto, but they also never fully abandoned their Danish roots and were seen as a foreign imposition on Greece. After much back and fourth, the Greek monarchy was abolished in the late 70's and Greece has been a republic again ever since.

the reason why king otto was accepted was his bloodrelation to 3 byzantine dynastic emperors, phokas, komnenos and laskaris.
the main goal of the rebellion was to reinstate the roman empire and to liberate constantinople and the greek cities along the coastline.
king otto though wanted to settle the matter becaue the great powers had no interest in a bigger and more influential greece, and thats why he became more and more unpopular among other reasons.

Otto was not accepted due to his (distant) relation to Byzantine dynasties. He was accepted for the exact opposite reason.
Otto was picked by the great powers because he was of a minor royal house, and not a member of a major dynasty (like the Romanovs, Bourbons, Habsburgs etc.).
This meant that Greece would be more neutral, and not potentially become a client state for a great power. Otto was never well liked in Greece itself, because he was by and large imposed by the great powers without their consent.

@@marvelfannumber1 i mean by the greek accepted for his bloodrelation.
the greek still referred to themselves as roman most of the time.
why he was picked by the great powers is obvious.

Not really. Greece had been quite large even before the ottoman occupation, so I don't think they gave Greece too much. Probably a bit too little, considering how many Greeks lived outside of Greece then.
