Lol, even just watching this brings so many dreams, and dreams to realities alive! This make me think of our local bike trails and how fun this could be pulling off to the side in the bushes for a night not bothering anyone and appreating hanging out within a mobile relaxation unit for a night!
процесс изготовления конечно классно но хотелось бы посмотреть на результат и узнать полученные характеристики ... вес,внутренний обьём и компановку ..на сколько увеличивается парусность и как ведёт себя на разных типах дорог...
Brilliant! BUT even in a full sized caravan they use lighter/thinner building materials. With different wheels I'd quite happily tow that behind a Motorcycle.

+Jorge Reyes Thanks you Jorge. Will see what we do in the future.
Up here in the northern climes I've entertained the idea of fabbing a light-weight yet very strong (all the better to thwart the efforts of thieves/wildlife trying to enter) bicycle nomad trailer from 2"- thick foam and fiberglass. The entire structure could derive its strength from within itself unibody style, with a few well-placed stringers, longerons and ribs fabbed into the structure, much like aircraft. (I've a background in aircraft maintenance, but this could be done by anybody). This would appear (on the surface at least) to provide the best strength-to-weight ratio, while also making compound curves much more doable. This would also provide insulating qualities by design. Thoughts?
Check out teardrops n tiny travel trailers forum, they have a foamies section, xps foam with poor mans' fibreglass is definitely strong enough and as you point out insulated by nature. Also bug out trailers channel here has lots of info on how to do pmf.
Not as big as heavy, using plywood is heavy. Making a composite using only thin wood layer laminated on the surface(both sides) of foamboard is far lighter and strong enough for roofs and walls on a tiny trailer, or using corrugated plastic or other lightweight materials that can hold up. Aluminum would probably work best for the base frame for its strength to weight ratio, but a good composite would be something to try.
Hello! I searched everywhere for just this model in bicycle Caravan. I want to build one myself. And i really really want your help. I live in sweden. Dont even know if you gonna read this, but of you do. Please reply! 😁
Hey I can help you , I'm building one but not the exact same as this one. We can chat if you like . I can show you my progress and my ideas so far. It's gonna be winterized with a woodstove I hope to be living full time in the thing.

Depends on the final weight. I went tent camping and took around 140kg of stuff with me on a trailer. I then went about 40km and up a few good hills. I'm well over 100kg myself and many would not consider me in shape. But I do ride daily to work and back on a 30kg dutch bike.
Wie schwer ist der braucht man dafür einen Elektroantrieb fürs Fahrrad weil der sieht ja so ganz gut aus gefällt mir ganz schön aber er sieht so schwer aus
Its actually very possible some people even pull ones that are almost 400 lbs I would reccomend installing some type of brakes to the trailer at that point. Imagine a 400lb camper going down a hill and its behind you wanting to go faster than your bike lol im making one out of coroplast and honestly they put way too much weight into the base
Gosh I would sleep the entire holiday, hitched on the side of the road halfway to the camp, ride home, then sleep again😆Congrats im sure its not for everyone
nice you won't be all cramped inside like the others might be a bitch to tow if make any changes or anything should make with pullouts so you can make it narrower

Not man!
This is perfect for a bike and would be nice to build for an electric bike take on road trips and over night camp outs, very nice job!
excellent work with materials you had on hand!!
Props for using hand tools.

You could get honeycomb. Its more exp but its super lightweight material .

i liked and subscribed! it must be heavy to pull with it being so big?

End result probably far to heavy to pulled for long distances by a non- motorized bicycle but great design! Take care.
Pmf, poor man's fibreglass over foam should cut the weight in half, at least. And insulate at the same time.
have to say the part you hook to bike looked cool but dont you think its abit of over kill

Frankly, I think it'll be way too heavy for someone to pedal the bike far unless they have major stamina.
Dal Bailey 7 I think the electric assist solar panel backup couple house batteries in the camper and you could go anywhere

Still look a bit heavy, he could of easily replace a lot of the inside wood with lighter stuff and still have a the same look without the weight.

that was what I was thinking, you now need to add all the gear you need, then add to that some wind while you are riding.

what does this thing weigh? about 150lbs? thanks in advance for an honest reply
