A sweet surprise from a Secret Santa for this cookie maker whose oven broke last week

- The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift $500,000 this holiday season! Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and wants to help as many people as he can.
We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Alice Wilcox does so much for everyone she knows. She makes hundreds of treats for town gatherings and every week for her husband's hockey team.
Alice and her husband have had a rough year. Her 7-year-old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She struggles with costs and ended up giving up her dream job to homeschool him. She now teaches not only her kids but other kids too.
Alice helps write grants for the city, conducts a free children's choir, volunteers for the clothing drive and runs the Easter egg hunt and 4th of July entertainment every year.
Last week Alice called her brother crying because her oven broke and she had to make hundreds of cookies for holiday gatherings. She began borrowing other ovens and coming up with creative solutions to make the treats.
Secret Santa knew he could help this holiday season and asked the East Idaho News elves to drop by an early Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see what happened!

This young woman has such a good heart. She lives in a humble home and home schools like 5 kids and still finds the time to bake cookies for other people. GOD bless her. She so deserves that gift and so much more. ENJOY IT! 😇

Watching from Mexico- my daughter grew up in Melba Idaho- on a farm. She put herself through college and studied to be a lawyer- she is blind now- and was homeless in Washington, state. She finally found housing- i love your secret Santa! It restores my faith in humanity- wow

I have been there! Reduced to cooking with a sterno kit or on a park grill. I'm in a nice place now and I appreciate every second of it, because I understand just how easy it can and probably will slip away. Always cherish what you have. When i was cooking that way i lived in my van. But i was SO appreciative of what I had. Someone always has it better and someone always has it worse. Appreciate everything while it's in front of you....and also, you never know when things could completely change. I had no idea the life i have now would ever be possible.

I live in NE Ohio in a little town with a husband that has bladder cancer and house falling apart its over 100 years old. So its a break to watch these video lets me watch something to take my mind off of our problems . It is so wonderful what you do in your town and love that the Secret Santa does for each and everyone every Christmas. God Bless you all , wish we had a Secret Santa here . I wish I could be one. This is one of my favorites, for a few reasons, mostly because she's such a sweetheart.
