Decibelics is great one man pedal designer. I recently bought his Golden Horse pedal which is the best Klon clone I have come across. Put in front of any head an it does something magical especially in the high distortion. It Also it makes all of my pedals sound like they got sprinkled with magical pixie dust. His work is exceptional.
I just bought one of these angry swede the other day because most of the HM-2 pedals for sale I've seen either look really beat up or the owner is selling for an outrageous price. The general internet opinion seems to be that this angry swede is the absolute best HM-2 clone out there. Im really surprised Boss isn't making them anymore since they seem to have such a renewed interest from everything I see online.
I have an angry swede. It's well made and sounds good, and having the hm-2 in mini format is pretty cool, I use it into the mooer jcm900 clone mini pedal.
The HM-2 is on My Bloddy Valentines Loveless, that mix feature is totally what they did on that record, mixing the clean signal with the HM-2, really cool feature on the Angry Swede
Love this! You generally have this "metalhead who likes to think out of the box" approach which is very uncommon in pedal demos, so very much looking forward to seeing where this series will go. I'd definitely like to see you try an octaver (e.g. TC Electronic Sub'n'up is great) and see what you can come up with. It can be very interesting with distortion.
Holy crap! This might become your best video series yet. Absolutely amazing. And that horizon pedal will be selling millions very soon because of this video. Skol
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLA 🎂! I don't have any other social media so I had to comment here. Wish you the best man! Thanks for continuing to inspire me every week man!
Love this new segment! Would love to see you do an entire pedal board with pedals chosen by your viewers. Each week you do a different effect type with three or four of the most popular pedals of that type and pick a winner to go on your board. Keep up the good work!
That delay is so amazing, and listening to your playing and interpretation of the chords and the different sounds combined says it all, you can really write all the modal chords from the E minor scale on a bunch of sticky notes, put them in a hat, and play whatever comes out of the hat and boom you've got the main menu track for an RDR game lol
Loved that Horizon pedal! Ambient & mellow. - Future pedals? I think you've set the pattern in this video. Boost, distortion, fuzz. Plenty there to go at. Phase, Chorus, Flange, Delay, Reverb. More than enough to keep you going there. Which're bang for your bucks?
KMA Wurm is the best HM-2 type of pedal I've used. It's actually somewhat versatile for a HM-2 clone. It's not a cheap pedal but a fans of HM-2 sound should check it out
Hey Ola, I love that you started this with an hm-2 clone. Definitely not my favorite cloney type pedal. I have tried all of them I know of and The KMA Wurm is the best hands down and it is also a competitor for the reigns even over the original ( that’s not easy to say). They also make other great pedals especially worth taking note of is the Cirrus reverb/delay. It’s amazing. Enrico is an amazing guy. Strongly recommend his stuff for you in the future. He’s in Germany so I doubt it’ll be hard for you to come by his products. Fucking amazing stuff!!!!
What a great idea for new series! May you try to put some ODs and boosts in series in front of different amps? For instance, I noticed that some combinations can be quite cool like Fortin 33 -> MXR GT-OD -> Revv Generator 100p (ch2, blue aggression). This chain gives a really tight sound for 7 or 8 string Djent tone. The same principle may be applied to any other tones.
Something like the Flux Echo was used to great effect in a soundtrack to Jim Jarmuch's Deadman - Neil Young created a hypnotic and compelling guitar phrases throughout -
Hey Ola, happy to see a pedal series! Any chance of showing us some pedal setups used with some of the affordable/digital gear a lot of us are using at home? I know this type of gear isn't really meant to have a pedal board in front of it, but I'm sure I am not alone when I say I wish I knew of some pedals to use with some of these models to find some new inspiring tones. Something for those of us playing at home in situation where a big tube beast to put some pedals into aint an option.
I've had a Tech 21 Boost DLA pedal for a few years that has that trails feature on it. It can't do as many effects as the Flux Echo though, but that trails feature is definitely awesome!
Thanks OLA for a new series I love to play leads with reverb and delay I'm now looking for octave or pitch shift pedal on a budget . So I'm politely asking for this so I can go all out In fully approved tones. Thank you so much.
I had one when they first came out, an hm2. The way that i used it was level maxed, bass 50%, mids like 80% and distortion on like 2% I used it more of a mid boost. Looking at the circuit, it has the midrange and highs tied to one control. Id like to try to build one of these and separate the mids and highs to see what kind of sounds i can get Thanks for the video.
Seeing that you enjoyed the Horizon devices pedal I think you would really get a kick out of the TC electronic flashback 2. The new Mash technology that acts like an expression pedal in the bypass switch is an amazing design. And if you want to get really crazy you can download the free editor and really I sign anything to any knob and the Mash switch
I have an angry swede. Unfortunately he is my neighbour. I give him 1/10.
😁😁😂😂
That Flux Echo is begging for the original Diablo Tristram theme music.
Exactly what I was thinking
Indeed
wanted to write the same.
Exactly
My thoughts exactly

Ola launching more series’ than Netflix over here

I have one too, it sounds absolutely massive, this video doesn't do it justice unfortunately
That echo is so ethereal .. very cool
The HM-2 is on My Bloddy Valentines Loveless, that mix feature is totally what they did on that record, mixing the clean signal with the HM-2, really cool feature on the Angry Swede

Oh yeah
The feature with the delay hanging while switching off has been standard in TC Electronic delays for years. Nova repeater and nova delay.
And most digital delay/reverbs in the last 5 to 10 years.
Holy crap! This might become your best video series yet. Absolutely amazing. And that horizon pedal will be selling millions very soon because of this video. Skol
Loved the playing! Thanks Ola 🤘
Man at 4:46 I thought he was gunna break into call of ktulu
I head that also 🤘🏻
I was getting some serious Tristram vibes and happy childhood Diablo flashbacks when Ola played around with the echoed clean tones
was "pedal to the metal" already taken as a series name? ;)
Brilliant!!
Even if it was taken Metal on the Pedal would be a good one.
Pedal to metal yeah its a series from another youtuber that i know
Not everyone works at nasa champ.
Nice man👍
Glad you are introducing this new series
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLA 🎂! I don't have any other social media so I had to comment here. Wish you the best man! Thanks for continuing to inspire me every week man!
Holy moly these sounds speak to my soul. I love them both so much!
God I love that cascading delay sound @ 4:13.
This may be one of my favorite videos you've done. I love when you really explore the features in detail
Very happy you started this series

AMAZING idea for a series Ola! I've had the Flux Echo for a few months now and I love it!
I want to hear the new ADA MP-1 “Channel” Pedal.
4:13 Lifting Shadows off a Dream. Awesome.
That's a good idea man, keep them coming please

That angry swede right there reminds me of the sound of Entombed alá Wolverine Blues 🤘
want a pair of new ears? the resemblance is 0
@@goyzrus8830 I want a set pf ears if you can get me that instead? That would be awesome

Wurm is the best of the HM-2 inspired pedals.
oh man that delay pedal is amazing
Need to try the amazing DOD Grunge Pedal
I love how there is always a new video. Never get bored watching you dude 🤘
Sometimes even when I don't have time to watch the video, I still smash the like for Ola bc I know it's going to be good.
I like how that delay sounds
I'd really like to see a seafoam/surf green solar.
@ 5:10 it feels like you are gonna play the Tristram theme from Diablo. Good shit.
That echo pedal sounds awesome
“I ams a tones chasers”........Squizgär
Angry Swede is amazing for doom/stoner metal.
Greetings here From Manila ,Philippines. \m/
The Angry Swede pedal has the guitartone of the song ”Pump The Brakes - Refused”
I got an Opeth vibe from that opening clean part beo
That delay totaly reminds me of Diablo 1 Tristram theme song.
Very nice sound have this flux echo pedal!
These come out in the morning for me, makes the perfect vids before school. Liking the new series!
that flux echo is really pure 😍...
FluxEcho has some sick Diablo 2 vibes.
I like that Horizon Flux Echo pedal :)
Joyo Ultimate Drive, Joyo Uzi, KHDK Dark Blood and Ghoul Screamer
Love this series idea. You were getting some great stuff from the echo. Made me want one
The background thing you talk about around 8:00 is available on Boss' Delays :D
New tats looks hella fine Ola🤘
5:23 I can only think about Tristram(Diablo) when I hear it.

Every good Delay should have Trails, from DOD Rubberneck to Boss DD200 they all have that
5:27 Diablo. And again at 10:20.
Never heard so many clean notes from Ola
good to see the vx100 being used more!such an underrated amplifier!
that echo pedal hit me... 🥵
What a great idea for new series!

Thanks for the fun man..
The mix control is essential for all distortions and overdrives.

Ibanez Fm4 next! Wanna see ola dealing with some filter madness
Ola try using a vapor trail or a compression pedal to show how to properly use and if placed in front or fx loop thanks much love

WHY DO I START HEARING WOLVERINE BLUES IMMEDIATELY AS THE ANGRY SWEDE GOES ON
Request! METAL style fuzz pedals, like the Earthquaker Cloven Huff, Boss FZ-2 (or clone), etc
More of this kind of vid please! Great idea
I've had a Tech 21 Boost DLA pedal for a few years that has that trails feature on it. It can't do as many effects as the Flux Echo though, but that trails feature is definitely awesome!
Love the new series Ola. I know you have the Earthquaker Space Spiral (so do I) I'd love to hear/see your settings on that pedal. Best!
I was digging the Mr.Rogers version of Ola while demo-ing the delays. Oh that's a nice sound kids ....
8:49 diablo 2 🤟
You need to try the pickle fuzz from VVco. One knob and it kicks ass...
Suggestion, Earthquaker devices Acapulco gold.
I really want an angry Swede, it’s just too bad they sell out immediately after being put up for pre order. Makes it super hard to get one.
Would like to see you try/review/make it chug Keeley Filaments High Gain Distortion pedal.
The DigiTech drop pedal Ola
Ola, if You release this colour guitar with a Maple fretboard and a floyd rose I will legit buy one.
I suggest the Gary Holt signature boost pedal by pro tone pedals
New Laney Black country custom pedals
Thanks OLA for a new series I love to play leads with reverb and delay I'm now looking for octave or pitch shift pedal on a budget . So I'm politely asking for this so I can go all out In fully approved tones. Thank you so much.
Loved it
Ola the Pedal Fingerer!
We ALMOST got some ambient-guitar Ola in this one! :)
Ola transforming to Travis Flimmel :D
