I am Catholic. I'm 16 and just recently got confirmed so I thought I'd share this with you. I learned that since we are all born with original sin, it is important that we get baptized. I encourage you to learn more about your faith because it is honestly a really beautiful thing. I'll be honest, I used to not be so close to God but after being confirmed, I feel so much different. As a matter of fact, I actually encountered the Holy Spirit while getting confirmed and my relationship with God has been stronger ever since. it was such a beautiful feeling I will never forget. so yeah, just decided to share that...Have a happy Sunday everyone 💕

Dulce Candy I'm so glad that you publicly speak about your belief in Christ. So, I heard your questions. When you pray, you can use Jesus and God interchangeably. However, praying in Jesus name is extremely powerful because the relationship we have with God became only possible because of Christs' death. He said,"anything you ask in my name" John 14:3. Jesus is our intercesor. A way to think of it is, God ripped a piece of Himself, planted that piece of Himself into the Virgin Mary. Of course, God could of have done this supernaturally, but becoming human was the most loving way for Him to relate to us (also it's a part of God's law of creation).God, literally killed a piece of Himself to make us worthy. He is that invested in us, that he wanted to relate to us and cover us with His Glory. If you've never seen or read The Schack, it's a great example, not completely accurate, but it gives the general idea. The Holy Spirit is also God, because everything He tells us is from God. However, he's more of an aid, in the absence of Jesus' physical presence. The Holy Spirit also a gracious gift to us b cause of Jesus' death. Not even the prophets in prior to Jesus had the gift of aid.I personally like to talk and pray to both God and Jesus, but frequently keeping Jesus in mind because I really wouldn't know God personally without Him. Jesus is basically the only way to get to God. Hope that makes sense.

Dulce Candy when you decide to study the Bible, I highly advise you to pray prior to reading, for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Without those gifts, the Bible won't be spiritually clear. Religious practices, such as baptizing children are pointless to God, because these thing don't really change the way we act and feel. However, once you fully submerge yourself into Christ, and choose to learn more, then get baptized (which is like a marriage ceremony), you should or could then 'dedicate' your children. Meaning, you are devoting your life to teaching your children everything that you have learned about Christ, including in the way you behave towards them specifically. The dedication of your children will then indicate your duty to model Christ to your children, so that they may be influenced to seek a personal relationship with Him, by your example. Psalm 127 gives a clear description of parenting through Him. Xoxo

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
******That being said, God looks at your heart when you pray, He knows you are talking to him. So make sure your LOVE for Him, as well as your FAITH in Him outweighs any religious "chatter." Nevertheless, the Lord desires for us to know WHO He is. He wants us to pray, worship AND study His Word as well as keep our hearts open to hear when He speaks to us so that we know HIS voice and not "voice of a stranger." Your journey of your relationship with God, is exactly that: a journey. And you have your whole life to grow and learn more and more about Him.

Sooo, God is a the Holy Trinity: God the father +God the Son+ God the Holy Spirit=One God
here is a link to an article that gives some light on that, interviewing to Bishop TD Jakes view -read to the end :
      www.christianitytoday.com/news/2012/january/td-jakes-embraces-doctrine-of-trinity-moves-away-from.html
The doctrine of the Trinity - embraced by all three historical branches of Christianity - holds that God is three persons, each person is distinct, each person is fully God, and that there is one God.
Several key Bible passages, Jakes said, impacted his transition.
"Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, for example, coming up out of the water [and] the Holy Spirit descends like a dove, the Father speaks from heaven - and we see all three of them on one occasion," he said, "or in Genesis [where God said,] 'let us make man in our own likeness' or Elohim - He is the one God who manifests Himself in a plurality of ways. Or what Jesus says, 'I am with the Father, and the Father is in me.'"
      --------------------------- ------------------------------------------- --------------------------
******either way Just love God girl, and live to please Him. Fully understanding and embracing that He knows how imperfect we are, and He loves us anyway. that should always cover any insecurity, and remain encouraged to get closer to Him. Don't be afraid to ask Him yourself :) God is concerned and wants to help you in any and every little area of your life God bless

My understanding of Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit is like this. It's like water, ice and steam. You have three different forms. But if you look at the molecules, in essence they are the same: H2O. In the same way, Christians believe God created the world. He came to earth in the form of Jesus. He lives in our hearts by the Holy Spirit when we invite Him into our hearts. There are different forms but it is still God, just like water, ice and steam.

So once you have this understanding, it doesn't matter if you pray and say Dear God, Dear Jesus or Dear Holy Spirit, you are addressing the same Person.

Hi Dulce, I would recommend talking to a priest about all the questions/doubts you have of the Catholic Church. There's honestly no one who can explain it better, especially since they take a lot of Theology classes before they ordain as priests. I completely understand how you feel, I was so confused about certain things in Catholicism when I was younger. However, I'm thankful I got it all cleared out for myself.

Unfortunately a lot of people have bad experience or thoughts about the catholic religion or just simply don't understand it which I get I'm catholic but I considered myself a modern version I understand that the religion is very old and has been manipulated by man for many years to serve their benefit at many points in our history but at the end of the day the relationship you have with God that connection is what matters and all the rituals that come along with the catholic faith I view as symbols and ways that we physically connect with God in one way or another so baptism I see as not just because you want to get rid of the sin but more of a beautiful physical act of receiving God into your life and accepting that blessing and pure energy everyone will have a belief of their own but at the end of the day we all need love and respect each other and just have a relationship with God or any spiritual energy that you connect with because we are all mind body and soul and if we don't feed all we are never truly complete. ❤️🙏🏻

I dedicated all of my children to God at my church. This is done as a way of thanking God for our children and making a promise that we will raise them according to his word and knowing God. As adults they choose when to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior and the next step is to get baptized. Babies don't have a conscious, therefore there is no need to baptize them. This is basic teaching from the Bible that every Christian should know. A baby doesn't know if he/she is sinning yet. They have no idea what sin is. I will provide bible verses to support this, but this is what the Bible says about dedicating our children to God and getting baptized. Dulce, pick a bible reading plan and I can guarantee you, God will speak to you through his word. I admire you dearly!

Agree! Jessie is right children cannot make these decisions. As parents its your job to instill the word of God in their lives. And btw the Jesus , the Holy Spirit and God are three in one . You are to pray in Jesus name. The bible teaches us these things. The Virgin Mary was used as a vessel to birth Jesus. She is not God, and we should not pray to her. God bless you dulce . I pray the Lord illuminates your life with knowledge and growth.

Some religion like Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity where in GOD has 3 forms. 1. God the Father, 2. Holy Spirit and 3. Jesus the Son (who he gave to us to die for us and be saved). So when we pray to God we are praying for the 3 forms of Him.

I'm catholic and my husband just never grew up with any religion. I have all my sacraments and when we had our daughter I told him I was getting her baptized and since he doesn't have a religion he didn't say anything. He is really supportive of my religion and it makes our marriage that even better! All men are different but maybe if you both meet in the middle with izek it should help. I really suggest you get him baptized. It's a really important sacrament in our religion. We are born with original sin from Adam and Eve. It cleanses us from that sin when we are baptized

Hey Dulce! I loved this video. It really resonated with me because I'm single and have been having a hard time dating because to me it's really important to find someone who is Catholic because that's my religion and while I'm a cradle Catholic, up until maybe about 3 years ago I never really knew much about my religion. I have spent a lot of time doing my own research and doing my own soul/faith searching and truly believe in the Catholic beliefs. I had some kind of an interaction with my cousin recently who isn't Catholic and asked me why that's so important... that being with someone who is Christian is almost the same thing, but then it turned into her asking about my personal beliefs as to why I pray to Mary and things like that, as if my religion was wrong. That was my whole point. I'd prefer to find someone who is Catholic so that my beliefs aren't challenged. I wouldn't want to try to change someone's beliefs just as much as me not wanting someone to change mine. Not married yet but all I can do is pray that God sends me someone who believes in him as much as I do, but in the same way that I do, so that we can raise our children as Catholics as well. Always a sensitive topic in dating but I agree, definitely something to bring up early in the relationship! Sorry so long! Hope you're well!

Dulce, I used to be a Catholic, now just a follower of Jesus. My advice to you is throw away traditions and start from scratch, meaning just read the Bible. Jesus was very much against tradition throughout scriptures. It has become empty routine and people were no longer after a relationship with God. It became just a checklist in everyone's day to day life.

babygunz0604 I'm so glad someone else thinks this way! I went to church every other weekend with my mother since I was a baby and realized when I was 16 I knew absolutely nothing about Gods word. There was a lot of politics and hypocrites. People wanted to maintain their image more than celebrate God and his word. When I stopped attending church and started to read my Bible I felt Gods present and was able to build a real relationship with Him.

As a individual who is catholic and lives to serve God, we as catholic also believe and follow the teachings of Jesus just like Christian. • @evarene07
      @evarene07 7 років тому +10

babygunz0604 when was Jesus against traditions? I have to differ with you. It was not that Jesus was against traditions per se, he warned us about following the traditions of man and not the church, which would lead you away from God. Tradition is mentioned in the bible and its seen in two very different contexts. The two forms of tradition illustrated in the bible consist of :
1.) The traditions of men - which nullify scriptures or are not supported by the Bible.
2.) The traditions from God which are in accord with, and recorded in, scriptures.
The scriptures warn against any "manmade" traditions, customs, precepts, or laws that are in opposition to, contradictory to, that nullify (or do away with) God's commands as written in the scriptural record. These customs, rituals, practices are inventions and traditions of men -- alone, apart from God. We must be cautious of the emptiness of the traditions of men passed down through time ... even those from our own forefathers or elders. So it's really the "traditions of man" that Jesus warns us to be wary of, not ALL traditions.
(And that completes my bible study for today-🙂.)

I'm not Catholic, but I was raised in a Catholic family. I also used to be a research assistant for the Vice President of a Catholic university. Some of the research I had done was theological. And from what I have gathered from a number of books written by Catholic theologians, is that God and Jesus are one. I recommend you read And Now I See by Robert Barron. Again I'm not Catholic, but I believe in the good that spirituality and religion can bring to people. I hope this book might clear up any questions about your faith!

What I have learned, as a non-denominational Christian, is that there is God the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. When praying I also intertwine talking to God the Father and Jesus. I know that John 1:1 says that the Word was with God (the Father) in the beginning and the Word is God, and then as I have continued to read it becomes clear to me that Jesus is who is being referenced in John 1:1 as "the Word". That's what I have learned and believed. God bless Dulce! ❤️

It is true that children are "innocent" but by the age of even 2 or 3, you can see in that child traits of defiance, or even disobedience! Its SUCH a BEAUtiful thing! BUT at the same time, this is a little reminder that the reason for baptism is to cleanse us from original sin - As a Christian or Catholic we are all born with original sin because of Adam and Eve.

We didn't baptize our children. I grew up in a Catholic family. At one point we all were reading the Bible and found the truth through God's word and that's when we became Christians. Jesus is God 💕
My husband grew up in a Catholic family and I've just been praying so hard for him and just this last March he got baptized and decided he wanted to follow Jesus and that's when he became a Christian. Our marriage has been so Christ centered since then. I'm seeing God work through not only our marriage, but our whole family as well. We are so blessed and I don't mean that we are blessed with money or anything worldly possessions like that. We are blessed to even know who Jesus is and what he has done for us. He didn't just die on the cross for us is did it all for God's glory!
Dulce my prayers go out to you and your family! ❤️ Continue to read God's word and take time to listen to him because he does speak to us we just need to listen. God bless you! 💕☺️

God Is god no matter what religion, Catholics are the same we just believe in saints along with god, but even tho we pray to saints it all goes to god so what is the difference and what was the need for u husband to leave catholic religion? I'm really curious I'm not trying to hate on what u believe before u take it that way, i like learning people perspectives on their beliefs so if u don't mind I want to try to see why you believe that but if not that's ur choice to not answer me

Jehovah is Gods name Dulce, his son is Jesus. Look it up in the King James Bible you will see God has a name. Psalms 83:18
Jesus also tells tells us in the Lord's Prayer "Our father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified..." You see, how can we sanctify Gods name if we don't know it? Jesus tells us Jehovah is our God and Jesus is our redeeming King. 💖

It's funny because the things you're questioning or are confused about was the same exact way I felt a couple years ago. What I did was, I went to a priest aka Father Ken from my church and I told him I haven't confessed in a long time because I was confused and questioning my religion (being catholic). I expected him to be upset or mad at me but instead he told me that we all go through that especially with so many religions. Don't over think it because trust me.. when I was questioning things I over thought everything and it got to the point where I started becoming suicidal. It's better for you to write down the things you have questions about and set an appointment with your priest and ask him. If you ask other people (especially if they are from other religions) they will confuse you. Love you lots! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
P.s. Hopefully all of this makes sense.

This video is so interesting to me. In Islam, we believe that every child is born pure and innocent. And childbirth is a blessing as the mother's sins will also be wiped clean with the pain of giving birth. We also believe that Jesus was a prophet sent by God to guide mankind. Jesus's gifts were given to him by God, but he was not God and he was not the son of god. And it is our actions that determine our afterlife, and not whether we are baptised or because Jesus died for our sins. We believe that you can be a Muslim but if you are a bad person you can still go to Hell. Likewise if you are not a Muslim but you are a good person you may go to heaven. This video and the comments have been very insightful to me.

Jesus is not a "prophet" he is God's son. (God in the flesh)
Your actions do not determine if you will go to heaven. The only way to go to heaven is if you accept Jesus in your heart. It really is that simple!
A: Admit to God that you're a sinner and repent from all your sins and turn away from them. Ask him to forgive you.
B: Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for you and me and rose again on the third day!
C: Confess your faith with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Accept Jesus in your heart and you will be saved! Believe with all your heart, soul, and mind.

Sami Starr That's your belief, and that's fine. I was just explaining what we believe in Islam. We don't believe that God is vulnerable, that he would ever need to eat, sleep, etc... We believe that Jesus was the messenger of God, and we don't believe that he died on the cross. God lifted him to heaven before that, and one day he will return. In Islam, you do have to believe in God and Muhammad (saw), but you will also be judged on your actions, whether you were a good and righteous person, whether you prayed, whether you were honest, gave to charity, were kind to neighbours and respectful to your parents... From speaking to friends previously, I understand that a lot of people are unaware that Jesus is mentioned at all in the Quran or in Islam. I was just putting that across to those who may be interested.

For Islam I'd like to explain some things. Allah means God in arabic just like dios means god in spanish and Dieu means God in french. It's not a different God! in our religion we think that there is only one God and it's the same God for everybody ! not only muslims ! In Islam we believe in jesus but as a prophet only same for david, moses, noe etc we love and believe in all of them as prophet in contrary to all other religion who don't believe and love all of them us we do. We believe that God is one, He did not beget, and He was not begotten. I really encourage you to read the quran and learn more about Islam as I know you're such an open minded and respectful person and very curious as well. Trust me nothing that is said is in the media is true and Isis etc are absolutely not a reflect of Islam or muslims. Actually we believe that there are not muslims because they're not following the prophet muhamad's path and the laws of Islam. It is absolutely forbidden to kill anyone. Do you really think that if Islam was like the media or Isis portray it to be muslims would continue to love and practice and tick to their religion so much ? think about it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my religion so much, it brings me so much peace, and love. Love you Dulce [93:4 Surah Ad-Duha 4] " Indeed what is come will be better for you than what has gone by"

Hi Dulce! Thought I will share what Jesus says about who to refer to when we pray. In Matthew 6v6 Jesus says: "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you." Also the Lord's prayer opens with "Our Father". So we should address our prayers to God the Father. However we pray in the name of his son Jesus, because Jesus is the way to the Father. Like a "bridge". Jesus made it possible for us to be reconciled with the Father and have a relationship with our Father. That's why Jesus says to pray to our Father but in his name. Hope that helps 😊 xx

God manifested himself in human form.
    (It's in our Creed)
We baptize our kids when they are babies to rid them of the original sin we are born with. This is also their initiation to the Catholic Church.
One may ask, "well what if the kid doesn't want to be baptized into the Catholic Church?" One could argue, "well what if your kid doesn't want to get vaccinated?" As educated parents we are going to do what we feel is best for them. But Dulce, in your case you need to get educated on your religion before you decide on what to do. Don't baptize him blindly... because that's the norm thing for us Catholics to do, really educate yourself. If your husband is supportive of you he will take the classes too, to learn and understand. I would recommend for you to do the same, learn and take classes on his religion. Study each other's religion and decide on that having information. My husband didn't grow up with a religious family, he was skeptical but after taking him to a couple of classes that our priest taught. He was all for it. Our priest was amazing very knowledgeable and able to explain things that I personally couldn't explain.
I did my confirmation at 15 thinking I knew everything and understood everything about being a Catholic, boy was I WRONG. At the age of 15 there is no way one could understand something so complex. I am so glad God put my husband in my path, together we were able to learn more about my religion (his now as well). Good luck Dulce! Talk to your priest, talk to his pastor or whatever they are called (sorry not sure what religion he is). Get educated for real!

Also, you can read the Bible all you want but you need guidance, a priest or pastor is perfect for that. Just talk to somebody who is knowledgeable and is ok with letting you decide which route to take. Our priest didn't pressure my husband... he never made him feel like the Catholic religion is the only right one to join. He just presented the facts and let my husband decide on his own.

The Bible says that he is God all three in one. You can't have God without Jesus, and you can't have God and Jesus without the Holy Spirit. Vice versa. God is Jesus. Jesus is God. And they are the Holy Spirit. In the beginning of the Bible, Genesis 1 and verse 26. God said "Let US go make man in OUR image." You have God. The father, the parent. And Jesus, the sacrifice for all sin, the only son of God. And the holy Spirit. The comforter, leader and guider. They are all the same person. But, all separate in how they operate! God is our father, Jesus was the ransoms for our sin, and the Holy Spirit is Gods Spirit here on earth to comfort us in this sin ridden world. It is the spirit that convicts us, comforts us, and leads us. But, yet they are all apart of God and Jesus! ❤️

Omg! I appreciate you sharing this so much! My husband and I grew up Catholic and growing up it was something that I never felt connected with, my husband distanced himself from the Church after the whole priest scandal. When we had our son in our early mid 20's, we baptized our son, I feel, mostly because of pressure from my family. Now with our daughter who is 3, I feel like I have to do it because we did it with our son, not because we want to. My husband is not religious at all, we don't attend church and don't feel the need to go. I feel like the more we grow, the more we can develop our own ideas and not feel so pressured. Don't get me wrong, my family still always asks but now I can tell them, "why?" what is the point, we don't go to church and I would appreciate it y'all butt out.

Now at my Christian Church, we do not baptize babies, we do dedications. We save baptism til the age of understanding, whenever he/she is feels is their heart they are ready there is no age limit we have teens/children's/ adults that get baptized because they feel in their heart they are ready. I wouldn't get him baptized unless HE feels he is ready. Also you should watch the movie The Shack! It might help you understand how god and Jesus are one! I'm not Christian and I always had the same question as you. The way it was explained to me is that the trinity consists of The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The father is God, the son is God and the Holy Ghost is God. However the Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost is not the Father. So yes in Christianity the Son (Jesus) is God. If I am wrong I'm sorry and someone can please correct me :-)

They may be different people externally, but they all share the same light. We all came from the same source, which is God... hence we all share the same light or source. Any saint or prophet who has the same qualities as God, someone without ego, greed, lust, anger, attachment, etc., is literally God's form... which is why you can't compare someone like Jesus or any other Saint/prophet with the average person within society, because we haven't reached that spiritual state that they had reached. If that makes sense.. that's just what I've learned... I could be wrong.

There is a religion that makes sense...
God is separate and Jesus peace be upon him is separate, because he is messenger of God .
You only pray to God alone .

Jesus and God are both one if you research about the trinity father son and the Holy Spirit it will tell you all about it :) (1 Corinthians 8:6). Also in the Bible it says if you believe that Jesus is the lord you will be saved Romans 10:9 but I'm Christian and this is how we know the word hope I helped you😘

If you look at things from a biblical perspective, you pray to God in the name of Jesus. Additionally, Christians don't baptize children unless the child has accepted Jesus in their heart and chooses to be baptized because they understand what being baptized means. Nothing will happen to Isaac if he isn't baptized. We see the thief on the cross who was never baptized but Jesus told him because he believed he would be in heaven. Read the Bible and God will reveal himself to you and He will give you understanding. You're on a great path, keep seeking him :)

Oh my god I'm going through the same struggle with the father of my child. I grew Catholic and he was raised Baptist. Very different. It is difficult. You know how you were raised and you feel like you know what is right for your child. It's a compromise. It's tough.

Yes I hear that u and ur husband have different views but honestly it's so refreshing to hear someone talk openly about their search for answers and concern for what is right. I could give my views but that would just be confusing again. I had my own search and found my own answers.

When my husband and I first met, he was a theist (believed in God) and I was an atheist, we would bump heads sometimes but I encouraged him to do his own research. After doing his own research, he concluded that no longer believed in God/Christianity (now he's even more hardcore atheist than me). But before his transition, we agreed that when we had children, we wouldn't raise them under any religion, and they would be free to do their research and make that decision for themselves; we didn't want to brainwash them.

As a Christian and believer in Christ it's ok to say your prayers to God or Jesus... Like you said they are separate yet the same. But when we are praying we are truly praying to God the Father IN Jesus name... In other words, Jesus intercedes for us so that we can go directly to God and talk directly to Him through Jesus (because Jesus is the only way to the Father)... So we are talking to the Father but by way of Jesus (in Jesus name). I feel like I just made that really confusing. Sorry if I did, haha! Hope that helps a little though!! =]

You have come along way, i have been watching your for quite some time. You are the first girl i started watching on you tube. I do my best to keep up with your videos, as I am a busy working mom. Trying to balance everything in life is hard. I catch your videos during my lunch or break time at work. By the time i get home from being in traffic for 30 - 1 hour, i put my cell phone down & give my attention to my family. If my family is busy doing other tings, that is my free time to watch your videos. You inspire, motivate and proven hard work pays off. You make me laugh & cry. Thank you so much for what you share on here.

Dulce check out Matt Chandler pastor of the village church. He has a UA-cam channel with tons of sermons. Also, The Bible Project here on UA-cam animates and breaks down themes in the Bible and explains how Jesus is God, why he had to die on the cross etc. Please be careful what sites you read. I would suggest buying an ESV (English Standard Version) bible and do your own research. There are many false churches out there. Any church that says Jesus is NOT God has gone astray from the Bible. Love you and the new direction you're headed.

You could have talked a lot more on this subject. It's so nice to hear you talking that time goes so quickly. I think you really have a talent when talking and sharing your feeling with us. Who knows, some day you could be on television presenting a talk show.
