What a great idea! I know some people will chop the end off of a bulb syringe to fit their favorite pen brand, but this is so much cheaper and might be safer for your pens than shoving the harder rubber bulb syringe onto the feeds. I love this! And, I love the word “pipette.” So cute! Lol
I had thought of that too, making a bulb syringe fit, but yeah they’re expensive and bulky and mine aren’t long enough to fit into some pen sections. #pipettelife
OMG - why didn’t I think about this? As I was watching, I took one of my plastic pipettes and made a pen cleaner for my Sailor pens! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁! I’m thankful for smart fountain pen influencers like you ❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving Beth! It just came to me yesterday and I said, “I’ve got to make a video RIGHT NOW!” So glad this helps you out and saves you money.
Excellent idea, Ma'am. Better than purchasing an ear-washing bulb. Old proprietary cartridges from a number of pens could be cut to fit the pipette as an adaptor.
I just put the nib in a cup of warm soapy water and let it soak overnight before rinsing under running water. Works pretty well and eliminates about 99% of the work involved.

Dang! Great idea, thanks!
You’re welcome. Enjoy!
You are so frickin clever! I’m totally using this next time. 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
We have to save on cleaning supplies so we can spend more on pens/inks. Right?
This is such a super brilliant idea!!! ❤ Thank you so much for sharing it!!!!
Glad you liked it!! Let me know if you try it out.
Brilliant!!! Thank you!
Absolutely! Enjoy.
I already used this method, since I have a lot of different pens I cut the tips in different levels and made it fit in all my pens
And it works very well I think every one should try, it has been so easy to clean the pens, that I’m now constantly changing inks 😂
That’s awesome! I used them today to clean out a few pens, and yes! So easy.

They could, but if you don’t mind cutting the Pipette, you won’t need to cut the cartridges. Saves a step.
@@TheDormousesDesk I was thinking about creating a better seal around the feed, so use an old cartridge as an adapter.

Does that work with super saturated or shimmer inks? I’ve tried it before and I always felt the need to flush more.
