I hope this fun fact helps you enjoy the song more: Kurt Cobain had a pretty deep disdain for the macho meat-headed hateful men around him so the song plays off of the idea that those types of meat heads will never read deep enough into the lyrics to realize that it is a pretty deep diss on typical meathead idiots. Especially for the 90s.

This entire album was a nuclear bomb dropped right on the head of the music industry when it came out. I was in high school, and nearly overnight, it was just EVERYWHERE. It not only changed music entirely (both ushering in an entirely new genre AND simultaneously being the final nail in the coffin of hair metal), it changed culture. Kurt was the unwilling prophet of an entire generation. He left us way too young. I still remember where I was when I heard he had died. 30 years ago next year in fact. Now I'm old and grey and don't have the fire that I had in my youth, but I will always love Kurt and always love Nirvana.

The video is set up to spoof The Ed Sullivan Show and Beatlemania circa 1964. That's why they're wearing white pinstripe suits and ties ala The Beach Boys with their hair slicked back and Cobain wearing glasses ala Buddy Holly. And then when the set falls over to reveal them wearing dresses and getting crazy and destructive that's goes along the underlying theme of the lyrics about some of their fans not getting what the band is about. Nirvana's lyrics can be enigmatic. The chorus takes up most of this song -- it repeats six times -- and spells out the gist of the dig against shallow and aggressive fans. The verses -- there are only two -- are a touch macabre and of the sort that might offend the shallow if they were aware of them. For example, the very first line -- "Sell the kids for food" -- does not sound like lyrics someone who likes "pretty songs" would like. As I read the verses, Cobain is commenting on how the music industry exploits teenagers in various ways.

Cobain was the last of the great Rock Front Men and with Grohl thee last of the great American Power Trios in the vein of Grand Funk Railroad and The James Gang!

I feel like people get to hung up on music videos now and think there is some "story" being told. There isn't in a lot of cases including this one. It's just visuals going a long with the song. This is just a simple parody of variety shows from the late 50's and early 60's like Ed Sullivan. They being the musical guest.

If I understood correctly, this is a set of levers aimed at improving the positioning of a video or a channel on the platform in order to generate views. This, based on criteria dictated by the operation of the internal algorithm.
Basically, leaving a comment under a video, help your channel. But we already knew that ...

Not being able to understand them was part of the joke Weird Al used to get permission to parody their song "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Weird Al's parody song is "Smells Like Nirvana"

Fun fact: kurt wrote this song in 1990 little over a year before the album came out as a slam towards macho, womanizing men that kurt dispized because he found these men liked his band and would come to his shows not realizing the meanings and the message behind his songs so kurt said in an interview "I wanted to write a catchy song they'd sing along to and not know what it means". Also they first recorded this song in 1990 with their old drummer Chad channing in Madison Wisconsin with butch vig and even made a music video for it with Chad
