I have carried knives for about 25 years now. All my benchmades seemed cumbersome yet each has their own strengths. I picked up the carbon fiber mini bugout and knew it was the knife I'll be buried with. Everything you said is true it's expensive and you have to be a benchmade fan to invest but it's the knife dreams are made of for everyday carry
I forgot to mention s90v Steele is awesome and the carbon scales or whatever you call them just feel right. Their knives feel special to me too and they don't pay me either lol
I bought this knife (535-3) this year and the edge came with an embarrassingly obvious burr from heel to tip. Then, one of the omega springs broke 12 days in, ended up returning it. Benchmade needs to step it up, especially at this price point.
a good option for people who don’t like the flimsiness of the bugout, and don’t mind the mini, the mini griptilian is amazing. I love the small size for an edc carry. It’s not too big, and quite frankly, I forget it’s even in my pocket at times. Great review man!
Awesome video. The Bugout is the best Benchmade knife to come along in years. I love the full-size and the mini. The CF Elite was good enough for me. I did not purchase the carbon fiber version. I did buy the regular version and upgrade to polished titanium scales. The scales look amazing. I really wanted to add either a Damascus blade, or a mirror polished blade. But I can’t find anyone to polish the blade. I would really like to see the ultimate version of the Bugout!
I have one and really like it but I am having a hard time tuning it to get rid of lateral blade play while still keeping a smooth, more free feeling opening and closing action. any tips?
If Benchmade have being producing these knives in China they would cost maybe 1/3 of their nowadays price. With a cheaper steel chinese clone offer an amazing quality with high attention to details. The action is not smooth on a new received one, but many original Benchmade knives have same issue.
Nice. I got a great deal on DHgate for a Microtech Halo VI. I paid $60. They are listed for $650 most places but not stocked anymore. Man! I got a great deal, 90% off. 😉
I couldn't swallow the price point so I went the poor man's route and bought a mini bugout, put the cheapest carbon fiber scales I could fin on it and swapped out the stud and spacers with my full-size bugout. It looks classier but in all honesty I liked the feel of the original grivory orange grips better. Just wish they would have come in at around $200 like you suggested in your review.
Hey seeking advice, I’m normally a microtech guy but h got one of these yesterday however I never heard about the omega springs problems. And I’m considering returning it and getting another microtech, what your experience with the omega springs
Personally, for the asking price of $270, it's gotta be made in USA for me. I'll buy a $50 Chinese knife (I love my Civivi Odium) but anything past that, I keep it domestic.
At that PRICE POINT the regular sized BugOut is the one that Makes sense. I have the Mini Freek and Love it, but will stay away from this one until the price drops.
It's a $30.00 Chinese cnc machine clone made in America by a Chinese cnc machine for the greedy butterfly price $300.00 ! Benchmade liehyped steel would only raise the price $20.00 not $200.00 ( I looked it up , that's with no volume buy discount )! I only collect clones of stupid high for no real reason but greed knives , and use them ( I wouldn't want to use and abuse a $300.00 greedy butterfly priced knife )!! I have bought so called real ones from benchmade ! crooked river large came totally unfinished crooked river small came with a broken spring and all of my benchmade knives ( 5 ) springs broke , repraced with Ganzo springs that bever break ! Some youtube reviewers said that benchmades quality control has improved over the past few years ( I was thinking it could not have gotten worse, so is could have only gotten better ) !

You dont invest in a benchmade you buy one and use that word to cope 🤣

Mine came perfect.
Thank you for the anecdotal, singular sample size example.

I have a bench made knife that is from 1999 absolutely agree bench made makes a top notch well production knife.
Sometimes we forget how useful a small knife can be. Worth the weight for sure!
Just bought my first Benchmade - the one you are showing. It is amazing (costly) and easy to work with. Thanks for your UA-cam.

Cries in 940-1. I need this mini bugout.
Got the 940-1 Osborne and love it, I do like the loop on the back of the bugout though
-1 is awesome!

Luv this knife as I just picked one up at Dh gate and really enjoying it.

It’s a badass little knife
That knife looks lit and this video is mad crispy!
That thing is clean as hellllll

I absolutely love mine! !!!!
That looks amazing
I was going to get this but instead
Got a pm2 in m4
I have a couple of benchmades & love them but probably won't buy any more due to their prices 😕 I'd buy a WE knife for that price

and indirectly fund genocide. just saying. *hugs*
Which WE knife in s90v/carbon fiber would you buy and whats the price point?
Sweet brandon but that butterfly tax is too much
I like a lot Benchmade knives but they are pricey. The 15080-2 I got for $180 4 years ago has gone way up now.
Mini Griptilian (a real work horse), good luck. 🤔🤔

I just buy a more inexpensive Mini or Standard Bugout and make your own with custom scales.
why is the screen black the whole time
benchmades price points are rough
💜💜💜💜💜💜
that's a really expensive box cutter.
Howdy

Yeah, the earth is flat too.
Over priced garbage
the original Bugout is small enough, they should've made a Bugout XL instead. Guhhhhhhgh
