My sincere Sympathy and condolence to the family of Mark Goddard. Mark was a brilliant actor and was a joy to watch in the series Lost In Space, no doubt he will be sadly missed by all. R.I.P. Mark and thanks for the memories.
When I was a kid, he was my favorite in Lost in Space... as an adult one of my frustations was not to be able to shake hands with him. Yes! He wil always have a special place in my heart.
I had the privilege. Of both interviewing and being apart of various conventions together and became friends athough it’s been a few years since I’ve talk to mark despite both living on the Massachusetts south coast I shall miss him both as a friend, actor and are talks about education ( mark was a teacher for many years). Mark you will be missed.
Mark Goddard was an amazing man who inspired a lot of young minds. I was lucky to have been one of them and one of his students! Mark was 100% a funny, gentle, kind man. Always with a smile and laughing. One of the classes he taught was a video camcorder class, and acting class. We read screen plays, he loved his screen plays and had us act them out . He taught us so much he was a true roll model and inspiration ✨️ RIP Mark
hello marks goddards family. i was very lucky to meet mark somewhere in the 1990s when there was a lost in space convention in atlantic city nj. every lost in space character was there signing autograph at this long table unfortunetly except for guy williams. i shooks marks hand and told him he looked very good for after all those crash landings, and great job on the belly landings of the jupiter!! i miss you mark!!! RIP my friend!!!
I grew up in the 60's. Watched Lost in Space from day one. Mark was one of my heros.Always putting Smith in his place. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
I met Mark in Cleveland 2000. He was the hothead just like when he yelled at Dr Smith. I also spoke with Jonathan Harris that day and got him to sign an autograph with my name on it.
iI just her Mark Goddard passed a way.I so happy i meet him when he come to the uk want a lovely man good times and good memories. now you with DR SMITH AND BOB MAY. we love you.xxxx
Yesterday I received the full series of "Lost in Space." Today I was looking up the actors. Thank you Mark Goddard, for all you have given to all of us. You're still alive and well on my screen.
Loved him on Lost in Space. He was so dreamy to us preteens. Had no idea he lived only a few towns away all these years! Rest in Peace 🙏and condolences to his family.❤
I was 14 1/2, WLVI in Boston(I lived in Monson, and now, in Palmer(next door) I have the DVD series. At the beginnning, both Dr. Smith and the Robot were scary! Then, the Robot became "human", I trusted and liked him then!

It's annoying enough listening to a robotic voice narrating the video instead of a human being oh, and even more annoying when you promises the last video made of him before his death, and then you never show it.
I remember Mark Goddard most of all for his action life saving expertise-concern, as Don West, for the Robinson family in "The Hungry Sea." He was good for a.range of emotions but his firey, safety displays were most entertaining when there was difference between he and Johnathon Harris, that is the natherious Dr. Smith. RIP Mark ❤. You were so loved in your place with the Robinsons.
When dr smith and major west were put into a cave by aliens then sealed up in there.while both were trying to escape. Smith apologized to major west for being a coward west also apologized for constantly bullying him sometimes . They buried the hatchet and Smith manned up and they escaped firing their weapons at the alien cavemen . This was a big change in both characters.REST IN POWER. Mark Goddard .
Yes but everyone seems to forget that Dr. Smith was a murder he kills a security guard in the remade pilot and trye to kill Prof. Robinson in the 3rd episode, so Maj. West has every right to hate him. And quite frankly any other crew would have spaced Smith for trying to kill them.
R.I.P. Major Don west, you were my hero, and my idol through out lost in space o always wanted to be you ,good looking and a man's man, thank you for all of the fond memories.
Watched as a kid smart and funny show just finished season on me tv on weekends still too this day relevant cool guy on gh soap in the 90s didn't know he was grand marshall at Brockton holiday parade the city of champions Rocky hagler and now Mark great life
From the irwin Allen TV shows of the 60 s the older characters June Lockhart from lost in space who will be in her 90s now and Gary Conway from land of the giants is 87 and Heather Young from giants in her 70 s are still alive. I know Gary Conway is still looking and going good at 87.
he was one of the best actor ever he sure will be missed these are my favorite Episodes I like Ninety-Seven Danger, Will Robinson Nothing Left Behind The New Guy and the Final Transmission those were the best one he will never be forgotten i miss him already
I think Mark was wasted in LIS, as Don West never had strong Storylines and was agressive and hot tempered..June Lockhart suffered the same fate..no Storylines for her character....
My Deepest condolences go out to the Goddard family, fans & friends. I had the privilege of spending a day with Mark, Bob May & his wife in 2003. Mark was a great story teller (as seen at the end of my video), Please enjoy this rare footage I put together that was a dedication to the loss of my wife Barbara who I died of cancer & Bob May. ua-cam.com/video/WVfyEgI_6gI/v-deo.html
