Marta Kristen played Judy Robinson on the original Lost in Space and Mark Goddard played Major Don West. See what they have to say about the new Netflix series, the movie version and parts they may play in season two of the new show. They also reminiscence about times on the set of the original, which aired from 1965-1968, and their thoughts on how it affected their careers. The stories are funny and the disagreements are too!

I think the acting was A1 for the original Lost in Space impeccable! all of them. 💯💜
This was wonderful. I enjoy seeing actors in their real skins. Someone commented that Goddard doesn’t “come across well” and I couldn’t disagree more. He’s a very personable, likable-and funny honest-kind of guy that I’d love to sit and hang with. And while Kristen is thoughtful and introspective, she is a bit guarded and reserved. Goddard just reminds you that these “stars” that we so admired and seemed larger than life, are simply normal people like you and I.
Marta is gorgeous. I mean , who looks like that at 73? Simply gorgeous !

I would love to hear these two speak in general about the power of storytelling and television. They had one set of experiences on set as actors and cast members, but their audience had another experience. As much fun as it is for the audience to hear about the actors' perspective, I also love to hear the actors' perceptions of the audience's experience of the composite/finished product--since they have both been actors and audience members themselves, at least for other actors' work though sometimes of their own if they are amenable to watching it and have the time. Bill Mumy seems very forthcoming about perceiving what the audience experienced and sharing 'both sides of the mirror,' so to speak. Again, I love both Mark and Marta as people and as insiders with insights to share.

Mark Goddard doesn't come off very well in this. But you have to give him credit, when Hollywood was over, he went back to college and then taught at a school for difficult boys. Not many actors have that on their resumé.
And Marta! She seems like a such a sweet person.
He’s honest and not fake Hollywood. I love his honesty. He probably just should have not said it but when you’re that age you can care less. I wouldn’t. Lll

You can't expect them to be the same. Things change. Older and doing other things. Those characterizations are dead. This is for all who censured Goddard. Give him a break. He became a teacher.
After all these years, Goddard is still the jerk he always was. Really, can't make it through a Q&A without a beer, and guessing that wasn't his first, second, or third, of the day? This interview would have been so much better if he wasn't part of it.
