The Hutts ironically had the most stable government in Star Wars...

Logan Searles one wrong move tends to bring chaos when it comes to government
They technically werent a government, they carried economical power- not governmental power. Thats like saying Al Capone had made his own government lol
When you realize the organised crime group are more organised and stable than the actual government. Lmao

But they did do all sorts of financial chicanery to pay the bare minimum! However, even their bare minimum is so much the Republic (later the Empire) was able to arm itself en masse! 😆
One of the things you didn't mention is the Hutts can live to over a 1000 years old. This meant they had fewer dynastic changes.
They didn't like war either
@@GlowBerryPumpkin Cuz it got in the way of their cashflow! 😆
When Jabba was killed that caused a power vacuum to unfold since there wasn't a Hutt to take over his section of the galaxy. While Bib Fortuna was placed in charge of things while the Hutt Council decided who would take over, a member from the Hutt crime family needed to be in charge.
@@GlowBerryPumpkin The Hutts would certainly profit from a war but as long as their cashflow wasn't disrupted and became involved in said war.

That always confused me. Did they completely make the galactic map wrong?
Adz xyz, in empire the galaxy is in fqct wrong as all the planets arent in their correct spots, though most mods fix that
One thing that also helps the huts is that they are the right level of power. Strong enough to make galactic powers weary of invading but not so strong they are seen as a serious threat.
while people outside of the world are learning the ways of the force,
the hutts are learning the ways of Switzerland
😂😂 true
Yep
11/10 would be neutral again- Switzerland
The ways of Switzerland are a path way to many abilities
Some would considered to be precise
@Death trooper they have a very loyal and strong army. They are still trained in the old ways pretty much. Being able to hit the recruits. Fuck US doesnt even does that anymore and they train the same as the US. Swiss soldiers as i seen are more mentally and physically better then the US army and marines. Mainly because they dont lower the standards so more women can enlist.
They were also smart enough not to join the EU/UN whatever the BritBongs call it
So basically they were just mad financially responsible
@Matthew Chenault I bet the hutts who didn't get involved in crime were still great at handling money.

I never would have pegged the Hutt for a warrior species. I thought they were just genetically great at cutthroat money maneuvering.
Remember that time a comic where Jabba straight up swallowed a woman whole to escape captivity?
No but that sounds like quite a story
In my mind, this is what each Star Wars species I can think of did:
Humans: spent the last 2000 years finding new and exciting ways to blow each other up
Hutts: spent the last 2000 years trying to not get blown up by random human rampages that occasionally wiped out entire species, and also making a lot of money
Mon calamari: made lumpy spaceships
Kaminoans: spent the last 2000+ years selectively breeding themselves until they had needlessly long necks
Rakata: conquered almost all of the galaxy, found out that it’s like herding cats, and got bored and conquered themselves repeatedly instead
Celestials: moved planets and stuff around because honestly why not
Sith: spent the last 2000 years very dead
Wookies: had normal technological progress, but with wood for some reason
Everyone else: partially succeeded in trying not to get blown up by humans
ironic how the Long necks are a weak trait when their whole thing is not being defective
I'd like to see someone fight a Hutt who's actually physically fit, imagine how awesome it would be to see!

10:05 I thought the Yuuzhan Vong decimated them heavily when they invaded.
Decimated them, yes, but if I remember correctly there was a problem Vongforming the planets due to Hutt toxins, so they stood a bit more chance at defense.

They were role playing as Switzerland during the world wars
New sub 4 years later. I never had the patience to read about this stuff so i like being able to just listen
The Hutts had two things that Galactic community doesn’t want to admit, and that both the Political and Criminal power to back who ever they want. They have one of the largest criminal empire that existed for thousands of years, and no other criminal empire has existed at long as they have, with it comes resources that they gathered across the Galaxy. Politically speaking hundreds of senators that surround the Hutts territory have to pay service to them unless they want to exist without criminal activity that could ruin elections for said senators, and that not even mentioning the Hyper Space routes that are virtually needed for travel to outer rim territories.
Yeah but muh rebellion tho. Kinda funny how the empire is viewed as more evil than the literal ancap slug men.
@@scutumfidelis1436 even the Empire knew they have too much dirty laundry while they can intimidate the hots all they might and be somewhat successful they know they cannot destroy them because they are too dangerous to be left dead
@@LuckoDaStars I'm just musing about the fact that we got a genocidal, slaving/trafficking mafia interstellar criminal empire over there but the rebellion be like
"What about the imperial attack on the wookies?"
Hutt Space is poison to a empire that tries to gobble it up. They slowly become corrupted or they beat it and not cave in to their bribes and corruption. If they do survive that then they still got battling against their underground criminal empire which would be like the biggest war on drugs ever. Any Empire would not even want to take them even if they asked to join.

The Hutts fascinate me. Such an odd, yet cool concept.
*How did the Hutts dealt with the Yuuzhan-Vong?*
Did they get hit hard or did they hit the Vong harder?
From what I recall, they held their own fairly well. The Vong made very little progress on Naal Hutta and Nar Shadaa, helped by the old war machines kept from their first major war which were more than just inert statues. The things whirred to life and put on a Hell of a hurt.

Found you through EckhartsLadder, you two should do a collaboration sometime just talking about your shared interest.
I read it as *How butt space remained untouched through years of war*
I just love the tribute to Star Wars: Battlefront with the zooming in on the planet, really nice detail!
Republic had Hutts as their "economical slaves" for a while during Old Republic tho so wouldnt say untouched.
For those who didnt know Hutts were unstable during these times as they had lost great deal of many influential Hutts due to infighting and Imperial interference, been used as pawns by Dread Masters, lost their leader at the time to a strike team and after failed invasion of Makeb for resources Republic just kinda forced them to work for them.
This grip weakened after Eternal Empire beat both Republic and Empire and collapsed on itself. For now we dont have lore when they broke completely free of Republic.
