- The Saints Row reboot is finally here and even though the game is pretty self explanatory, there are still a couple things that took me a little while to figure out. I want you to skip that step, so here are 7 things I wish I knew when I first started playing Saints Row.

Does anyone have that weird damage bug where you get hurt when your own car door shuts? Like one time I was sent a few feet back because the car door shut
Yeah i get this if i don't move away from the door quick enough.

Tip #8 don't preorder games period, if a game looks like it'll be bad but you want to play it anyway do so on steam play for 1:50 and refund.
Fun fact: when you collect Jim robs cars put the tow hook on your personal car first and use that to collect the vehicles and avoid all the heat
Its actually better to put a magnet on your heli and pick the cars up that way, they wont detect you at all
@@rxidtorq-5890 yeah but if you do it early game it does the same for the tow cable on a car, you just hook it up with the cable and they don't come after you at all either and that way you can unlock the car delivery straight earlier instead of waiting to get the heli

I set my sensitivity sliders to “60” and my deadzone sliders to 10. It seemed to smooth out the aiming and movement. Gonna give the “Wide” snap setting a try.
i wish i did jim ventures first, you unlock the ability to call your vehicles in the contacts
Great tips. Especially about target locking. It's been my biggest gripe so far.

To be honest, all of these tips are things that have been set in place since saints row 3, can't speak for 2, it's been so long since I've played that one but the rest you should know if you've played 3 or 4.

Photo collectibles? Glimmer a neon purple...
Info booth (yellow circles): have three history panels to listen to.
Stop storing vehicles: Jim rob asks you to steal the best ones and you can custom after you drop off.. besides many of them, are given to you through missions... Customize those.
Empire building: fast travels you to the location when you activate. The mission for it? Is elsewhere. Highlight in map, bottom left will tell you what to press. Follow the GPS
this guy gave better tips in the 14 seconds i took to read this then in that whole 8 min video
I didn't play it at launch, and waited for a sale. Just got it on sale, and I enjoyed it. One thing I found that surprised me despite the dialogue . . . I prefer the companions in this game vs those on Starfield. These have no options for RP or anything, but they are much more interesting.
Also, some missions deserve the hate. lol
Actually am having a blast with this game, character options are insane and the open world is gorgeous (once you get passed the first two tutorial sections, it’s fun and turn that hud off
I know this is a year late but practice with helicopters, hitting a building and dealing with the bounce is super annoying
How do I call up my members to come fight with me
I still haven't figured out how to get the colors on the screen to look right. My purple looks grey!?! I've been playing for about 3 weeks now with my character wearing clothes that supposed to be purple, that looks Grey!
I'm a die hard fan of SR1&2. 3&4 were okay with some good ideas but by no means magical overall for me due to the lean into the ridiculous. I'll agree the critiques of this game are very fair, but also so far it seems decently fun enough; more of the same of 3&4, but you won't feel bad buying it on sale if you're unsure.
I really liked 3, 4 was bad. It should've been a dlc at most. But I would say that 1&2 had silliness too. The stories were definitely more serious but what you could do otherwise seemed ridiculous lol. Insurance scam for eg. I am gonna get this one, but like you said, when it's reduced. Which I think will be quite soon
The way you can manage the difficulty in the game is very original

@@caprise-music6722 rather than just having easy medium and hard blanket toggles, they let you adjust things modularly. So for example you can trun down enemy durability to make headshots effect but can still turn up all the other bits like player damage, enemy vehicle strength etc so the game doesn't become too easy. Basically a lot of options to tune your own experience.
I love all these options. Wish more games did this.
Man I'm glad I rented this and didn't buy it. Played for an hour and could not get into it.

Do you know its an asset flip?
People wanted more Saints Row, thats exactly what this is. I wouldn't say its an asset flip, for example its a new city. But sure it uses a lot from the previous games such as menus and car models.

I know a lot of people dislike this game but I like it. This game does need improvement that is a obvious choice the devs need to take with this game.
Playing it so far and I don't mind it as well ...I think why most people are hating on it besides the bugs and story is that they were expecting a next gen experience especially since the franchise was on hiatus for years. I get that because honestly this one feels like it came out before or inbetween saints row 3 and 4...It's like the difference between gta 4 and 5 slightly...
Why did you feel the need to include the fact that a setting involving the camera is under (wait for it) the CAMERA settings. This is almost as bad as the watch mojo DBD killed tier list
He's talking about the 'aim' sensitivity, not camera sensitivity.
Imagine having to give a tip on where to find sensitivity options under camera settings for a function that…..rotates the camera. And we let these people review our game and actually believe their score. Ok.
Imagine getting upset about a tip you don't find useful. Remember you didn't make this game nor pay for the review. Your language choice of "let them" says a lot. You don't get to dictate who can and can't enjoy and review your hobby.
Thanks for this. I've been loving this one so far. It's exactly what many of us wanted after Saint's Row 4, instead of Agents of Mayhem.
Its closer to agents of mayhem than the og saints row in style and gameplay. I didn't like agents of mayhem.
It’s the same gameplay as the rest of the saints. The game has saints row dna too. Like every aspect it behind the surface which is all you bystanders can say since you haven’t played it

It's sad and understandable to see so many polarizing opinions about a game. I love how if someone says they like it, they are attacked or accused of being fake and/or a paid advertisement. I guess I'm going to fall in that boat. I honestly like it so far. I'm playing on the XSX. I played the game for about 5 hours after work yesterday. I haven't experienced any game breaking bugs. I played the first few missions, then I did what I do in any open world game: I explored: on foot, in several car/jeep/truck models, on a motorbike, and then in a few boats. I do wish there was an in-vehicle camera, but so far I'm having fun. The game is obviously not for everyone. I've always been a fan of the SR franchise. They tend to be crazy and don't take themselves too serious. I'll admit I chuckled a few times at the cheesy dialogue. Personally, I would love to try this co-op. [Note: my taste in games is very eclectic. I play everything, try everything, and I don't like everything. I gravitate to open world games, story games, and RPGs.) So I guess now I wait to get attacked by all those that don’t agree or want to accuse me of being something I’m not. If you don’t like the game, that’s fine. Say so and move on. Don’t attack someone who does like it. What’s the point? Life is short. Play more.
I agree I don’t really see why it’s getting the hate that it is especially when I’ve seen other games come out that are completely unplayable. I’ve had minimal bugs and the game is just generally fun not anything serious .
Love this game glad I ignored the reviews and picked it up loads of fun.

The only thing you need to know is that it's a very very bad game both story and gameplay wise and you'll do yourself justice if you don't play it or at least if you wait for it to be like 20$ on a sale because it definitely doesn t deserve full price.
$20 is too much for the abysmally shih quality that the game is, I'ld say 5 - 10$ AT MOST
Turning off the subtitles in-game was helpful. I don't need subtitles distracting me in cut scenes.
I'm loving the game! It's everything I kinda hoped for! I know i wanted a game that would be fun and that's exactly what I got!! I'm having a lot of fun with it

I absolutely love this game. it's great and really does things unique. lots of customization and content. updates and dlc are coming. buying the expansion pass as soon as its available. truly better than some of the old Saints games. I've always enjoyed these games over GTA. this one looks even better. I'm looking forward to all the content in the future.
