Monster Hunter World was a revolutionary Title to the franchise, and by being so easily accesible and an amazing game everyone is going back to it. Mh 6 hype is real! Im exited
You convinced me to try this game. Is a use world plus iceborne good? I have played for 3 days and am surprised how fast progression is compared to rise has it always been this way?
Very true, the progression in World can feel quite a bit faster than in Rise! You mean getting World + Iceborne ? Yeah, it's definitely the best expirience you can have when getting both. Iceborne adds alot of new content. Enjoy the game & Happy Hunting! 🎉
The same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago 😄It takes the tiniest spark to remember how fantastic the game is & jump back in. It's a nice change of pace.
I tried Monster Hunter World in 2023 because I had always found the franchise to be interesting but I was overwhelmed by the UI and dropped it very quickly as it was hard to understand how to play. I picked up Monster Hunter Rise this year with a few friends who played monster hunter since the first game and they helped explain a lot of things which made the game a lot more fun. I haven't had this much fun with a game since BOTW in 2017, it's seriously a great experience. I think this is a game that is very similar to Terraria in the sense that the community involvement is such a big part of the game and interacting with wikis and other people to find builds makes it so much more fun to play. MHW might be a better game (I haven't gotten around to giving it a second chance) but I think for new players MHR is much more digestible and is a great way to get into the series. Though I imagine both games are super fun 🤣.
So true! The involvement of the Community and the whole "cooperation" that happens even outside of the game, is a huge part of what makes monster hunter special. It's interesting that you mention Terraria! I've heard similar things about it, but havent given it a shot myself yet. Guess i have something to look forward there aswell 😄
There are some slightly updated Builds that will likely get a Video pretty soon. GS & Lance are first in line right now though since the upgrade to LS is very minimal and the Builds from the TU5 Video are still among the best possibles ones you can run.
i just got this for 5.50€ + 5.50€ for the iceborne. Was doubting on if i should go with rise + sunbreak but so many people are leaning more on World so... Here we go. :)
Yup, there are still quite a few people playing. Most are doing later game content though, so it will definitely be a bit more difficult to find people for the earlier stuff. But that's easy enough to fix via reddit groups aswell! ^_^
@@YokaiNox hey thanks for replying, i fired up Sunbreak and decided to continue playing from where i left off. Qurio questing are such a grind though I get to experiment with all the weapons again. See you in Wilds! Cheers!
The magic of Monster Hunter. Everytime they spend a year or two in a newly released MH game, I always notice they go back to an older title. But in the case of World and Rise, I feel like people will just go back to World again after they are done with Wilds. Rise seems tp have a big problem that is hard to point out.
Thats a very good way of describing it 👍🏽 From my personal expirience with both of the games & loving both, I feel like a big part of what's drawing players back to World/Iceborne is that it feels more like you're actually "hunting" the Monster. Like the name of the fanchise implies & previous titles have reflected. Rise/Sunbreak does offer a similar vibe, but the overpowering vibe that I personally get from it is more like a "Boss Rush" style of game. Of course there's also the other more glaring factor or Rise/Sunbreak feeling "Anime" as hell, with all our flashy new moves! 😄They both belong to The Monster Hunter Family Tree, but definitely are hanging on different branches!
@@YokaiNox old school MH may feel like a "Monster Arena" game but I dont get it being a Boss Rush. Maybe Rise problem is just its too smooth getting into the monster instead of going heavy preparation or actually locating the target. Rise also feels like its map is just too flat and samey, I complain alot of small ledges and high grounds in 4u but atleast you got variety on having narrow and wide area.
@@soratheorangejuicemascot5809 Old school MH definitely didnt feel like Boss Rush. So far it's only Rise that has given me that feeling on ocassion. You're making me wanna jump back ono 4U😄Just played it about a week ago. The variety in terrain stands out in that game fore sure!
When Rise released on PC, it have a problem for some PC, including mine and i'm thinking, hey, maybe i can buy Iceborne while waiting them fix Rise problem. So i bought it and got to MR but i'm struggling with it because i feel the jump is to high. When Rise already fixed, i abandoned Iceborne and play Rise/Sunbreak. And a few month after i finish Sunbreak, my friend who doing stream on Twitch thinking of playing World again from the start and i'm like, why not, i can help him streaming with our other two friend, so just for fun we make a new character and play from the start with Defender equipment help. When we're almost done on the final HR, i'm thinking, the 3 of my friend don't have Iceborne and i have it, maybe i can try continuing MR for my main character, while waiting for Iceborned discount so my 3 friend can buy it. And now i'm done with Shara Ishvalda, my other 2 friend suddenly bought Iceborne too when it's discounted last year, so why not continuing it until the very end? Except my streamer friend who don't have enough money, but i hope the next time Iceborne got discounted again, he will buy it. Oh well, at least the other 2 bought it and i can have friend playing it
It's great that you gave the game another shot and trying it out again & enjoying it! Hope your streamer friend can join you guys aswell, so you can all play Iceborne together soon 👍🏽It's a great expirience with friends.
The grinding is crazy but worth it, especially in guiding lands took me 50 hours to complete. Only thing i don't like about it, is that you cant max all your regions but you have the option to decrease the region lvl which is dumb
To everyone who hasn't played World yet. There's a huge fight with a dragon that sounds like a slotmachine. Do I need to convince you more? No? That's what I thought.
I have to be blunt, a part of it is probably due to asmongold playing through it and getting people interested in monhun. hell, some people had no idea about the horrible localization problems in the west until he made videos bringing it to light to people who don't even watch anime. at least he likes a based weapon like GS.
Asmon definitely added a little to hype but the only reason HE played it was because he saw it was already getting popular. CAPCOM is the reason it became so popular again. After the reveal of Wilds they Started this campaign, calling it Return to World, reminding players how good this game is and if you haven’t tried it you should. It’s kinda amazing that their marketing idea was just to say “Hey play our game” and people did 😂 Proves that if you have a good game you don’t need all the bullshit online games often do to keep people engaged

@@YokaiNox I did a video on it but for the sake of being brief I discovered that 60% of your endgame builds in worldborne are pure rng - compared to 12%(up to 18% if we include anomaly augments) Means 60% of your entire build isn't based on any actual effort, and is purely a diceroll mechanic. The best example I have is my wife, we played about 500 or so hours together before she gave up- we did all the same quests, same monsters same effort, same everything, and by the time she quit *I* could make a handful of sets, and *she* could make nothing but a skeleton of a build despite us putting the exact same time and effort in. MHW with wyvern riding and the palamute to get around quicker. That would be amazing. The best thing about rise to me was wyvrn riding. Its so much better and more interactive than mounting a monster in world.
personally i dont like the fact that you can overpower a wyvern with a couple of bug boys. I want to feel like im beating it down into submission, not controlling it against its will.
This is confusing me as well, in terms of combat and action features, Monster Hunter Rise is far better but it lacks something that only Monster Hunter World has which is in my opinion the concept of reality. It's like everything in Monster Hunter World makes sense and everything in Monster Hunter Rise just doesn't make sense in the concept of reality. Monster Hunter Rise also lacks hit lag, and Monster Hunter World weapons have this features like when you use Greatsword and do the True Charge Slash, when you manage to pull it off, there's this big oomph, huge impact that in reality it makes sense and this goes to every weapons. And hunting monsters in this games very challanging and monsters movements are just interesting and once again "makes sense".
Indeed. In terms of combat & action skill variaty Rise simply wins due to far higher versatility & polish in that area aside from of few minor details. But then in terms of nearly everything else that makes up the MH Franchise World is the clear winner. I personally adore both games & enjoy switching it up.
