This all sounds great! It would be perfect if the game includes: - Switch tracks and multiple train management - Real darkrides (darkness inside buildings) - Sit down restaurants
Yes please more settings in the operations tab. I wanna be able to program blocks and tune dispatch intervals. Make then control panels actually useable. That would be so cool.
@@vos303 well to my hopes about darkrides.....it might just got shattered. Cause in the Podcast between Deladysigner, Rudi and Silvarette, it seems like, even the moon shines trough the building. So no change here. Im very dissapointed. But maybe they fix this still? Idk
@@navigator8222 I don´t know what is the best graphic card for this game. But I ran it with 32GB RAM on Samsung SSD and RTX2070 SUPER with i7 9700K and get very good results. I played big parks and thousands of people without having FPS drops, always on 50-60 FPS.
If they add switch tracks, turntables and other modern stuff to the coaster editor, it could be even interesting for real coaster manufacturers with the train editor and so on, to show their layouts and design Ideas that don´t exist. Like in no limits. But easyer^^. A cooperation with a real coaster manufacturer would be so awesome. Even if its Zamperla or something😅. Hope the water rides will get some really needed love too, like the log flume and the rafting.
Another cool feature would be able to walk around your park and other people’s parks in a first person view and go on rides. Similar to the mechanics of Thrillville Off The Rails and Sim Theme Park.
What I'm really looking for from this game is a far easier and more accessible building system! The original's and Planet Zoo's scenery building systems were powerful and great if you had disposible time to spend ages on a singular building to make it look good, but it was near impossible for the average joe to build something that looked good/not generic due to how complex and finnicky the system was.
100%!! I love the animals and guests in Planet Zoo, but the building aspect makes me so miserable. I would love for PlanCo2 (and PlanZoo2!) to be much more management/guest+animal care focussed, and far less on building.
I can’t believe I didn’t notice the rocks appearing on the teacup ride. I watched the trailer over and over and kept concentrating on the submarine in the middle.
Maybe they give you the option to choose between Single Rider and Fast Pass on a second Entrance. This would fit pretty cool. As an example the Gardaland had Single Rider entrances but turned them into Fast Passes, so I think the choice would be good, because there’s no reason to use both, but they work the same. I also think that a Fast Pass like in PlanCo1 would be bad, because it isn’t that realistic to connect the Fast Past to the main queue
Now that weather, play as a guest and pools are confirmed, I hope the following get added as well; - Guest Creator like in RCT3, where you can create groups that always visit your parks (maybe even with Workshop support for custom models?) - Fireworks, as well as laser shows and water shows - Being able to play this game offline - Have multiple opeation modes for rollercoaster (for example a Looping Coaster with launched start and passing station with customizable amount of rounds) - Being able to customize food, name it and have multiple of the same but with different amount of ingredients
It would be amazing to have: 1. Two platform management with an alternating switch track between parallel platforms allowing for double throughput. 2. Separate loading / unloading zone 3. Unloading finishes before all passengers exit through the one small gate. For example mirror the entrance gates to the other side to speed up dispatch. 4. Allow us to treat coasters as transport rides with multiple stations on the loop. It would be a separate ride mode. 5. Good track smoothing that keeps the heartline of the track. 6. Dynamic ride ops: Brings more trains on the track when the que gets long. There could be trigger markers on the que to bring on extra trains from the depot. 7. Coaster depot / maintenance building. 8. Custom drop, swing, roll, switch track. Could have a track position 1 and 2 and the sim animates between them in any axis or orientation. 9. Better track support modeling (it should not just disappear if there is an obstruction, it should find a path around it or link to other supports. 10. Bring planet zoo into planet coaster. We could have a hybrid coaster park / zoo. Or coasters going through exhibits. Comment if you agree!
best news i’ve heard in a while. seriously can’t wait for this new entry in the Planet franchise with how intuitive these features are! hoping coaster smoothing is easier and truly smooth; like NL2 smooth xD also hoping for transfer/switch/drop tracks. this is also a stretch but maybe in a halloween dlc, they could introduce scare haunt mazes and scare actors/actresses certain themed zones. i used to work for a theme park where haunt mazes first originated and its a highly popular activity in the theme park events.
I'm intrigued to know more about the new pathing system and plazas. I'm really hoping this will allow me to create parks more easily and help attain a realistic look to them, which is something I really struggled to achieve in Planet Coaster.
ITS ABOUT TIMEEE! everything sounds amazing! my hopes are still: sit down restaurants/booths, small carts (churro carts, drink carts, merch carts) with a employee working them, and a stage/entertainment concept! for the stage one, i would love to see guests sit or stand (your choice) in a designated area and watch a firework show or maybe a performer scenery piece (such as live bands, mascots, stunt shows etc) with amazing lights and production things!!!
I really hope, you'll be able to build the coasters in seperated segments now. I mean, in a clunky way this was possible before, but being able to place the signature parts of a coaster first and then connect these would be amazing.
for now seems like almost everything I wanted will be here (being able to custom your rides and flat rides) but if there is free falling tracks, switchs tracks, ... it will be a must buy in the second the game is out I really can't wait to know what is left to discover and why they seemed to hide relly specific parts I guess we'll see more the 31th in the frontier unlocked
oh man! I hope that they allow us to take certain created assets from the first game and import them into the new! And more animatronics to give the allusion of a zoo and better ride animations!
I want an in-depth fireworks/particle emittor editor like we had in RCT3, so we can create more realistic fireworks again for the game. Loved the entire Firework show building community in RCT3, and the showcontroller they had with PC1 had massive potential to be amazing for that if we had some decent fireworks.
I still hope that they will add finally the omnimover ride system. It can also be an addon but would be such an amazing detail as it is standard in most theme parks 😬✌🏻
I really hope they also added a brush tool to quickly make forests (just like in JWE) and a fence tool (which I'm quite certain they'll have because PZ and JWE have it). Together with weather, improved performance due to DX12 support and overall and improved engine, plazas and hopefully deeper and better balanced gameplay and a better campaign, this will finally truly be THE RCT successor that has everything RCT had but even better.
Wtf my man rudi!!!!!!! All this sound absolutely bonkers. Im glad they invited you! Cant wait to finally play this game with alñ of you. Remember when we were always talking to the devs during the meet ups about attaching pieces to flat rides and scaling building pieces? Im so glad they heard us! Now i want the idea I talked with them on the same meet up about also using the same systems to create themed parades, by attaching theming to blnack vehicles. If they add that as a future dlc this is gonna be our dream game (also hopefully the fixed the firework system so it behaves more like rct3).
After what Prehistoric Kingdom did with allowing scalable build/scenery pieces, it would have been a shame if PC2 didn't offer it as well. Just makes building so easier!
Something not a lot of people are talking about that I surely want is decals on workers. So thst if we wanted logos on shirts or hats for our parks instead of basic colors if that makes sense
I hope they run very deep with it and focus on having lots of systems. That was my biggest issue with PC1, to much focus on coasters and not enough on the other parts that are in a themepark. I wanna be able to create a themepark that feels complete and unique with 0 coasters if I want. Waterslides are a good starting point, hopefully there is enough there to run a pure water park, but I'de love to see them really diversify the types of parks you can make rather than assuming that every park is going to have mostly coasters (which, in my experience, is rarely the case).
This was announced while I was on holiday without signal in the middle of nowhere, and let me tell you I nearly cried upon getting service again. Long overdue, but I am so god damn excited.
I’m really hoping they bring back the hybrid coaster but with the 2nd generation trains without a themeing piece on the zero car and then you could get a tmtk zero car and put it on the car
I’m specifically looking for… -WAY more flats -WAY more coaster types/trains -New guest screaming sounds new guests sounds in general -Better coaster building track editor. -New ways to paint and color trains and track a specific way. -More music. -more inversion formula inserts and being able to scale it smaller. -No more lag! -Scenery and build pieces more organized and easier to find. -Not have the track bolt connector piece so close together while using the smallest track sizes to build it smoother method. I’m super confident because it looks super good already!
I love that the aesthetics are still the same from PlanoCo1! I'm really hoping they took out the whole TMTK concept now that pc and consoles are more linked to each other in this new version.
going off what rudi said about their reluctance to rework the pathing for planet zoo, it makes complete sense that they would revamp it now because it would be impossible to use the old pathing system and build quality water parks. good on them anyways, they really seem to have listened to the community. the fact that this is only PRE-ALPHA shows how far they’ve come since the og planet coaster
absolutely in awe at all this. So buzzed. Expectations exceeded. However i have one question, on roller coaster POVs, do guests still put their hands in front of their faces? 🤣
I want to be able to set up parades with custom floats, character meet and greets with the mascots that walk around (as well as more mascots) and better dark rides
I'm excited by the number of greeblies on that submarine build. Some of the most popular pieces in the first game were things like the snowman pipe, the camera mounting bracket, the wires, the sci-fi vent, that you could make almost anything out of. I'm NOT excited to see that the lighting engine looks to be exactly the same. The reason I quit Planet Coaster is the fact that, no matter what I made, it would always look like crap because everything was so shiny, plasticy, and washed out.
Since the console version can easily be 100% restricted, I hope more solutions can be thought of. For example, you can choose to permanently combine some materials and can no longer separate them to reduce the computing burden; or you can choose to make some facilities lose their functionality and only serve as a visual illusion for players.
I have a hunch that guest injuries might be a thing. Such as heat stroke, pool drowning, and the like. There's could be emergency responders and a hospital building. I also get the feeling that mechanics and breakdowns are going to be a bigger deal. Something about the phrasing in the press release gave me that impression each time it mentioned mechanics. This is wild speculation though.
I'm hoping the editor can handle vertical and near-vertical track pieces better. Outside of smoothing, I always had the most trouble with the editor telling me I was exceeding the limits of the track when building inversions with near-vertical pieces.
I’m not sure if this is just the trailer, but if it isn’t then those guest animations with some people swinging their legs and holding hands was insane! If this is in the real game I will be so impressed.
I‘m so hyped about the game now! Thanks for sharing your impressions! Can you answer questions? Because I have an oddly specific one - did they fix the loading/unloading process of the rides? Or do new riders still habe to wait for the very last previous rider to leave the exit before being allowed to board? Did you see flat rides/coasters loading/unloading?
I had the idea that it would be cool to add items onto rides a few weeks ago, but always thought “nah, that’d be cool, but quite unreasonable to pull off by my guess” AND THEY ACTUALLY DID IT OMG
How sick would it be to be able to have a proper coaster operator panel where you can control the coaster like they do irl. Switch tracks for maintenance, start and stop chain lifts and block zones and all that cool stuff.
Man, as much as i am excited about this, I'm REALLY hoping most rides are for all ages AND with the train editor we can get to at LEAST have different colored trains like in RCT2.
Are there Beach / Ocean terrain options? Trying to make an ocean in Planet Coaster basically just makes a lake. I would assume they will since they are adding pools and waterslides. I spent HOURS making non-functional waterslides so I'm excited for that. Also having the water levels correct for pools will be great! Item scaling is a must but I'm guessing that will still have some restrictions.
I'm actually (at the moment at least) more interested in that one ride we can see in the middle of the background at around 4:08. It loos either like a really heavily customized coaster or some kind of ferris wheel🤔.
What i really hope for is DirectX 12 and DLSS support, I have a AMD Ryzen 7800x3D on a 3070Ti in big busy parks 7k+ visitors I'm at 30-40fps at the best on medium/high settings, 1440p, i know my hardware can do much better but the current game just doesn't run well even on powerful hardware i start out at 200+ FPS in a brand new empty park but all the assets just eat up performance as you build. I understand many assets and animations will dull down the performance and it comes down to the engine they use, but if i could maintain 60-70+ fps in a big busy park it makes it that much more enjoyable to work on and watch while the animations are running. I also hope for a lot of quality of life changes for micro management like setting prices on rides and stalls to 1 number at once and opening and closing all at once, grouping staff training all at once, stuff like that. The new editor and path system is already a huge win, i hope more is done.
I really hope for console, that whenever trying to make custom buildings and other pieces, you don't have to take singular pieces from laying flat and rotate them 3 different ways just to put a window on the side of a build .. it became to time consuming on console make those customization when 1 single piece was taking 2minutes to place and adjust correctly
Damn, I'm hyped! I've always hoped for train/ flat ride customisation but I never expected them actually doing it. Given that, wanna here another little Idea I had?: What if, you're able open planet zoo maps in planco2? Like every game is a seperate content pack. That would be so awesome and really solidifie the word "Planet" in the whole franchise + people like me have a reason to buy planet zoo. It's the same engine and everything, right? So it should be possible (I don't know game dev, tbf)? I know this is just me dreaming, but just think about it... 😃
I think the console point you made is more of a positive to me. I use a PC but I cannot afford to buy brand new hardware so I’m glad the game will be more optimised for affordable hardware.
Honestly, I was just hoping for a better pathing tool and a better way to create dark rides without messing with the time and stuff, everything else is a bonus. The pathing looks super promising from the screenshot °_°
This all sounds great! It would be perfect if the game includes:
- Switch tracks and multiple train management

I had the idea that it would be cool to add items onto rides a few weeks ago, but always thought “nah, that’d be cool, but quite unreasonable to pull off by my guess” AND THEY ACTUALLY DID IT OMG
beyond excited for this game!!
Omg a weather toggle? the best thing EVER!
edit: rudi liking my comment is the best thing EVER!
no matter how great the game is on release there will be people saying it's not good enough.
awesome! thanks for updating on this. Can't wait!
How sick would it be to be able to have a proper coaster operator panel where you can control the coaster like they do irl. Switch tracks for maintenance, start and stop chain lifts and block zones and all that cool stuff.
I really hope they do this!
it needs to include the ability to import coaster from no limits 2
Train editing sounds FANTASTIC. The thing I want most is single rail coasters from RMC/Intamin so fingers crossed 🤞
Man, as much as i am excited about this, I'm REALLY hoping most rides are for all ages AND with the train editor we can get to at LEAST have different colored trains like in RCT2.
yes, you can even have DIFFERENT designs per train. Like style one after spongebob and the other after patrick,
@@RudiRennkamel HELL YEAH.
When I read console I also thought the limit issue also for pc.
i don´t think so, that would be stupid. And if so....Mods :D
i would love to create my coaster carts from the ground up where you pick your wheelbase, seats, ect...
That would be soooooo cool
For colors; you can play with nvidia overlay colors a bit to change the colors to your liking!
Well, if its not broken as it is right now, YES you can which is great :)
My guess is prob an October release. Can't wait until it comes out. i have 3000 hours in #1 so it will be good to have a new fresh game lol.
When the actual game comes out, I hope that they add different color trains to the game
Like one train could be blue one could be black and one could be red
I enjoy your comments. I am excited for you since I have no computer or planet coaster game, thanks again for sharing.
I just watched your video 10 days ago where you "gave up on waiting", hilarious :D
Rudi, do you think the way you can edit flat rides and bake in assets would enable parade floats to be decorated so parades are possible?
I am so hyped, this means new Planco videos of you Silv and Delady! I hope there will be new collabs too.🤗
I'm actually (at the moment at least) more interested in that one ride we can see in the middle of the background at around 4:08.
It loos either like a really heavily customized coaster or some kind of ferris wheel🤔.
Looks like its going to be a fantastic game
Half of the trailer: YES Waterparks, we heard you Waterparks
That trailer made me happy
I really hope for console, that whenever trying to make custom buildings and other pieces, you don't have to take singular pieces from laying flat and rotate them 3 different ways just to put a window on the side of a build .. it became to time consuming on console make those customization when 1 single piece was taking 2minutes to place and adjust correctly
About time for making things smaller or bigger from frontier
Damn, I'm hyped! I've always hoped for train/ flat ride customisation but I never expected them actually doing it. Given that, wanna here another little Idea I had?:
What if, you're able open planet zoo maps in planco2? Like every game is a seperate content pack. That would be so awesome and really solidifie the word "Planet" in the whole franchise + people like me have a reason to buy planet zoo. It's the same engine and everything, right? So it should be possible (I don't know game dev, tbf)?
I know this is just me dreaming, but just think about it... 😃
i hope they make fences easier to place in large areas something like how farming simulator 22 has it
Thank for the gaming gods for the new pathing system! Might be able to play the game without having a meltdown at the simple things!
I think the console point you made is more of a positive to me. I use a PC but I cannot afford to buy brand new hardware so I’m glad the game will be more optimised for affordable hardware.
Separate load and unload stations? Dual stations for slow loading trains like flying coasters?
I just want my RCT3 fireworks editor back but better
Probably
If they make better dark rides, togglable night vision for building, switch tracks and revers tracks, EG Expidion Everest at animal kingdom Florida.
One thing I would really like to see are more realistic breakdowns. I want to have to evacuate guests from coasters!
train editor omg im just realizing that you'll be able to make literally anything in planet coaster 2
Woot - so excited - can't wait to get my hands on it.
Same!!
Honestly, I was just hoping for a better pathing tool and a better way to create dark rides without messing with the time and stuff, everything else is a bonus. The pathing looks super promising from the screenshot °_°
Duel coaster stations? How about load/unload stations? And switch tracks?
Features I never even dreamed of or at least not that customisable..! Only thing that worries me is lack of non water themes.
Trailers only show so much
