- A 10mn video to show how to upgrade a Volvo V70 D5 2004 in a very comfortable small camper van.
We are used to use the Volvo for weekend in van life, it's really practical, comfy and safe inside.
We can park anywhere we feel nice, in front of the beach, in the wineyards, in a lost mountain... No charges, no parkings limits, absolutely freedom and discretion. No one can guess that our Volvo V70 is a micro camper.
From outside the car it's impossible to guess that there's a real 1,30m width by 1,85m length real bed, with real bed sheets, blanket and nice pillows ! We sleep like at home !
The process to install the curtains and bed is absolutely simple and fast, it's take 10 minutes only. In this video we show you how to convert on a real small camper our daily driver Volvo V70 !
At first we did the blind curtains set for us, and posted on Instagram and Volvo V70's FaceBook groups. The interest and curiosity was hudge and even people stopped us on the road to see what it is and how it is inside our micro camper van conversion.
So we decided to sell as some few people asked us, in Sweden, in Netherland, in Great Britain, Scotland, in USA... But nothing in France :-(
Even a Kangoo owner also asked us if we can made for him, so we did the templates on Kangoo 2 series (2 doors and tailgate versions). He never came back to us, but the templates are still available. So if you need one, just ask!

Really clever design on the separation curtian. iv always thought about taking the headliner down, adding magnets, then sewing some magnet to a curtain., very quick on and off.

Hi, yes it’s the best car I own since long ! It’s switching off automatically after a while, I guess 15/30mn to preserve the battery . Of course if you open a door it’s switching on again. Aside to remove the bund I don’t know how to off this light. We should create something for this !

What about condensation. Are you cracking window?
Of course there’s sometimes condensation especially in winter but not honestly. We just let open a little the windows anyway to breathe well.

ive done this a few times in my v70, entering, and locking up i tend to find the hardest in the vehicle with the lack of interior rear latch release. i usually just crawl up into the front seats to emerge

The maximum trip we did was 5 days. We hide some things under the mattress, on the rear seat floor. And we kept 2 bags on the mattress. Honestly it’s missing a roof box to be fair.

We have 1,85m available without moving the front seats, so expect more if you move them forward

It’s almost 1,90m. It’s a normal mattress that we cut to the shape of the car (in width only)

Bonjour, merci pour votre commentaire 😀! C’est mon épouse qui a conçu et fait les rideaux. Nous les avons testés dans les deux conditions, froid et chaud! Cet hiver avec des températures négatives, l’entrée dans le lit ne se fait pas sans mal c’est sûr car c’est froid ! Mais nous avons dormi comme des loirs, avec une bonne couette et l’isolation des rideaux a fait sont effet. En été nous sommes allés à Barcelone, puis longé la côte entre Lourdes et Vintimille. Il suffit d’entré bâiller les fenêtres (les rideaux restent plaqués car assez rigides pour ne pas laisser passé la lumière), certes il fait chaud, mais ce n’est pas inconfortable car la fraîcheur des nuits est mieux ressentie qu’à la maison. Vous avez aussi une Volvo ?

Nous avons déjà vendu 2 jeux de rideaux pour la V70! En postant sur insta et Fb des gens nous on contacté et voilà ! Du coup mon épouse a décider de les proposer! Idem pour le matelas, c’est un matelas Ikea qu’elle a retravaillé aux formes de la voiture.

For the 5 covers it's 150€ plus shipping that would be cheaper as less heavier, if you give me a postal code I can calculate exactly

BIG problem folks where do u put all the seats etc when u take them out of the car? SCREES for the window when it HOT and mosquitos?

When we go with kids, they sleep in the tent and we in the car. So we put the sits in the tent.
If we travel alone, we remove them before leaving
