You know this man’s on the level about the cross wave because, even though he mentioned his wife’s channel, he didn’t say where to find it. So, only the most indirect plug.
Good video Kurt, I've only just set up a garage gym due to the pandemic, definitely noticed how grubby mine gets within a week or so (though it's a very old brick wall garage with little cracks and crevices that dirt, grass etc gets through) Looking at a handheld Bissell vacuum myself to spot clean with in a couple of weeks, they seem to be much better value than say a much more expensive Dyson type, will be able to clean the car, get cobwebs off the ceilings etc with it too.
Great Vid. Try to deep clean my rack once or twice a year. Have to sweep my floors multiple times a week because of the wind and mess my kids make (#dadlife). But I try to mop my flooring every few months. Have you had to refinish the wood for your gin flooring? I am thinking of making a few of my stall mats into a platform but not 100% sure yet? Your thought please!
I have not had to refinish the wood. I use danish oil and it seems very resistant. I am not a fan of finishing a platform in polyurethane. I think it makes the platform too slick. A platform is a thing I really enjoy having my rack on top of. A lot of successful lifters don’t use them, but I like having it. If you build a platform it does tend to dedicate the space to lifting only so if your dad life (I experience the exact same thing) is infringing in your gym space, a platform may serve as that reserved space marker you’ve been looking for.
The Kurtlocker copy. Thank you. Platform is my next project! I’ll look into danish oil. I was thinking of captains varnish. That’s what we use on our ladders at work and it holds up great. Didn’t think of the slickness though! Thanks again! Keep the vids coming.
Good video! I saw the EOD warrior flag. I’m assuming you were a tech with that flag and your UA-cam name. What branch and when? I was USMC EOD from 12 to 16, and before that I was a motor T Mech before I went EOD. For the reason I was originally here: the wife wants to buy a “Force USA” all in one trainer that has pulleys, and everything else. and wants to put it in the garage. I live in Round Rock, Tx so I’m worried about the humidity in the garage and the pulley slides rusting along with everything else. You have any more tips for preventing rusting?, or am I just over worrying?
I’m an active Air Force tech. 3 years from retirement. For the rust you can use a grease applied a couple times a year (or as needed) to keep it from rusting. I recommend using sanitary petrol gel lubricant
Nice video. I prefer the feel and price of my bare steel of my OPB but it does need upkeep. Tell those UPT students to take it out of burner while you are filming. Loud A$$ T-38's.
Unfortunately when I recorded the video quality was set to 540p and I didn’t catch it. Rookie move on my part. I played it on a larger screen and it wasn’t bad so I just sent it rather than wait for the gym to get dirty again and re-record. Thank you for watching.
This guy just clean his whole garage gym. He deserves more views and like.
Lol. Thank you

Bahahahaha. So true
This video should get millions of views thank you so much . Now I know how to have my gym looking like new
Thank you for watching
Just emptying and cleaning that gym looks like a workout.
This is the whey
It’s so clean!! It definitely needed it
It really did.

Not a bad idea!
I'd clean the bars before the rack and floor, else the crap from the bar will dirty the stuff you just cleaned. Thanks for the tips and video
Good tip!

If you could see all the times I’m just waiting for the noise to stop on camera! Haha.
Why is the video only 480p ? :(

Keep posting vids- good stuff
Thank you. More content coming
The Kurtlocker mistakes are there for us to learn from them 👍🏻✌🏻
First world problems. Why isn't this shot in 8k at 240 fps?
