A grand cast. The so called industry didn’t/ doesn’t invest in real talent. Bebe Drakes, Morris, Phylis, Karen etc. never really got their just due/ accolades.
@@TheeCoachgor the racism at the time screwed over black talent like it did for decades. Ask any black actor who were invovled in the movie and TV industry when shows line these were on the air.
Good show. Only 6 aired episodes. Shares the same behind the scenes people as "Moesha". Probably how Sheryl Lee Ralph ended up being Moesha's stepmother, Dee.
The ONLY thing I remember about this show was Morris Days' bald head hahaha... But wow, this show had Sherly Lee, A.J. Johnson and Phyllis Yvonne Stickney (who is the most beautiful woman on earth) in one scene...
I can understand the point of the episode about being shallow. They try to justify it by hiding behind the fact that neither of the characters was a teenager anymore , but truthfully women can be nit picky. They expect a man to be flawless or perfect. Good job, no kids, great credit and not have a few small issues like thinning hair. Seriously every woman on that show had some type of fake something. They need to take a long look at themselves before freaking out about something that superficial It might have been the point of the entire show.
Because most men start losing their hair after 40, often sooner. Male pattern baldness is super common, which makes wearing a toupee or unit seem kinda ridiculous. Wigs and weaves only became commonplace in recent years. It is an unfortunate phenomenon, in my opinion. When I was coming up, it was rare to see women and girls wearing added hair. Even individual braids and cornrows were done without extensions. I blame Hollywood and the music industry for making women feel a way and start to believe they had to live up to an unrealistic beauty standard.
I know things happen in Gods timing. But I loved this show when it came out. Sheryl and Phyllis could have been a breakout stars back then. This was a good show. It took till Sheryl got in her 60’s to have a break out show.
I think it's the script, it was way over the top and exaggerated, I can't remember women acting this way about guys with bald heads, bold was in and most women found it sexy. Lol
That was sitcoms back then. We didn't really pay attention back then but now we watch and it's so annoying. I used to think those were real ppl laughing.
I love Morris Day's facial expressions.🤣
shame he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag...
@@jaye501 😂😂😂
You can thank Prince. That's who he got that entire persona from.
Sheryl Lee Ralph was and still fine
Ageless
Agreed
227 on steroids lol Love it! Reminds me of my aunties in the 90s
yep. that's def the set.
3:40 the drunk lady from Martin 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love Phyllis's style and hair. she is so gorgeous. Can we get more episodes? Thanks for uploading this gem.
I thought Vicki was gonna go Martin Payne and call that gentlemen Head Sanford, heady Murphy or Kareem Abdul jabald lol
Vicky's chestnut Curls look Sooo good; pure Class!!!
They should do an unsung Hollywood episode on Phyllis
Jalisa Martin too bad we barely see the Hollywood version
*YESSSSSSS!!!!*
The acting is so good in this show!
The Martin Lawrence show did a parody of this in the Shenene salon episode with one of the actresses.
A grand cast. The so called industry didn’t/ doesn’t invest in real talent. Bebe Drakes, Morris, Phylis, Karen etc. never really got their just due/ accolades.
But most of these actresses(&Morris) were successful in other things, maybe this show was just bad.

this was a good show
Is that AJ Johnson?! Lol this is classic. Thank you for uploading 💜
SO glad you posted part 2!! I was all upset figuring Id be stuck wondering how it ends!
I need more episodes please. They could bring this back and i'd love it
Idk, if it's not the same cast, it probably wouldn't be as good, but the premise of the show would be great.
@3:43 that's the lady that acts as a drunk in other sitcoms like Martin ect
ok now the morris day/steve harvey comparisons are even more valid lol
james starr I think I see it lol, but make it more clear for me because I'm seriously starting to see it.
Indeed.
It's like a parody of a sitcom
Good show. Only 6 aired episodes. Shares the same behind the scenes people as "Moesha". Probably how Sheryl Lee Ralph ended up being Moesha's stepmother, Dee.
Maybe she had a contract where she had to fulfill so many episodes or something like that.
Joey COCO did you know when it ended? I don't remember this show
@@TheYoli182 ..at all.
The cast was great just needed that oooweee
The hair styles are back. Cheryl still looks beautiful
The ONLY thing I remember about this show was Morris Days' bald head hahaha...

Thank you so much for putting these episodes on UA-cam
AJ Johnson ❤️ 2:58
This is the only episode that I remember. Thank you for posting.
Is it tingling yet. Lol Those hairsalons back then have made more men (and women) go bald then all the witches in the world.
The fact that they used that HUGE fake money tho 😂
I so loved this series
Shaved it bald, problem solved!
9:38 Sheryl Lee Ralph was the first choice to play Claire Huxtable.
I could see that🤔
moreee Morris
this almost comes off like Disney Channel sitcom or something for Nick Jr
Perhaps upn, the unpaid negroes channel
Only thing is ABC aired this show for 6 episodes during the summer of 1990.
Dude had hair just not on top over his head
It's the drunk lady from Martin & Sheraiyne/Jodi's moms.....
I can understand the point of the episode about being shallow.

Byron Faulkner so majority of females have a fake something 😂
Wow this show was hilarious!
5:35 The smiling bald women look so funny. 😂😂😂😂😂
You can’t stop the hands of time from turning.
I would have been upset. How do you hide not having hair from me? LOL.
I don't remember this show but it is funny to see.
The writing was extra asf but some of it was funny. The script also makes no sense considering she’s a hairdresser nonetheless
Can u please upload some more episodes
Morris Day was casted as Lando in Starwars
That was Billy D Williams
It cracks me up how women laugh at men for wearing head pieces but wear wigs and weave.

this reminds me of clippers with John amos
vickies headlights are on
Lol!♥️
In the early 90s people were so vain🙄. This was a weird episode lol
I think it's the script, it was way over the top and exaggerated, I can't remember women acting this way about guys with bald heads, bold was in and most women found it sexy. Lol
This show was quite forgettable but I thought that I'd NEVER see Morris Day with a bald head...lol....
ROCKNROLLFAN Morris Day wasn’t the one who is bald headed on this show .
When Sheryl Lee Ralph was hallucinating, she saw Morris as blad
These laugh tracks are killing me. Some of the scenes aren't even funny.
Right in hind sight those funny asf because they must've been a button the producers pressed and pressed & over pressed lol
That was sitcoms back then. We didn't really pay attention back then but now we watch and it's so annoying. I used to think those were real ppl laughing.
Outside of “Moesha” Sheryl Lee Ralph was seemed doomsday for a series.
Half the show
I can see why this show didn't last lol
It's pretty boring
Correction on top of his head
She is wearing ehemehem and
I see why this show didn’t last long. 😑
I've never heard of this show. Came across it by accident. It's a bit boring.
Sweettasteofhoney lol
Sweettasteofhoney writing is horrible! She has never seen a bald man??? Or balding men?? She is a hairdresser!!!
@@monetteshia she did mention it was because of the way she used to know him with hair for all those years. not that she hadn't seen bald people.
Just shave it, man.
So they wanted his to remove his hat meanwhile the sister had a headwrap on🤔🤔🤔
Awful show
LoL... This show was so bad!
All this over a bald head.
