Hello Jonathan, I have this exact radio model in my 1995 K1500, and i was wondering if you can provide a block schematic for how the wires are soldered to the radio tuner, speakers, and Aux jack.
Unfortunately all I have is in this video. I did a few of these but it was years ago. Everything I did was based on watching other videos and trial and error. I figured out the pins by poking the pins I thought it could be with an audio source until it played through. If the radio is the same it should be the same pin as what I did in the video. I hope that is helpful. Proceed at your own risk. I had several of these so if I messed one up it wouldn't have been a big deal.
Will this will switch between the cassette and aux as well? another words, if I have a tape playing and throw the switch, will it go from tape to the aux input as well?
Hello Jonathan, Just found this video on youtube. First of all thank you for posting. I have the exact tuner in my old chevy and was hoping that you either sold the radios you modify or would provide some written instructions as to how you accomplished this. Want to keep the original look of my truck and not add an after market head unit.
I would sell you this one in the video for $50 plus the shipping cost. I buy these radio anytime I find them cheap and mod them. I already have moded radios in both my Chevy trucks so this it a extra one I can part with. What model of chevy do you have. There are several models that look the same but have different mounts on the side. This model has the slide in clips that will fit 95+ Chevy full size trucks and vans as well as 96+ Astro Vans it may fit more but thats all I know for sure. I know the all the s10s I have seen use a different mount. Thanks for the comment I am glad you liked the video. Let me know if you would like to buy this stereo.
Ok Thanks, I will let you know if I can purchase the radio. How do you handle payment? I checked the model number and it's the same as the one in my truck.
Sorry for the slow response. I usually use paypal for stuff like this I would ship it as soon as I receive payment and an address to ship to. Let me know if you want to buy it.
You are correct this one is the same age but it's the older design. It is the same as the ones they used from at least 1990 and possibly before. They just updated the face plate and continued to use the old design until somewhere around 2000. I just used the term pre theft lock to describe the older/lower end same age radios.

Oye soy de México mi esterio no tiene cables como ubico los cables de la corriente
That is not a pre theft lock model. It’s a lower end model. Made around the same time as the theftlock ones
