Excellent vegan outreach, you are a wonderful asset to our community ! Thank you for informing people about the horrific cruelty they are causing and paying for because of their food choices.
Lovely outreach. My only suggestion would have been to give her a few more details about dairy, the most important being the theft of calves from their mothers each year and the slaughter of nearly all newborn males. In my experience that’s the hardest one for dairy consumers to self-excuse (and the easiest for them to remain ignorant about if not told explicitly).
I could see her looking for a way out. Then came the flood of vegan bingo points. Circle of Life, animal hierarchy, fish will overwhelm us if we don't catch them, etc. Way to stick with it. I am not sure she will change her ways but hopefully you planted some seeds..
Great work! Don't we wish all people we talk to are this compassionate and reasonable. Going vegan creates a level of Empathy inside us we didn't know we could have.

Fried Chicken Recipe: -Chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, wings, etc.) -Buttermilk -All-purpose flour -Salt -Black pepper -Paprika -Garlic powder -Onion powder -Dried thyme -Dried basil -Dried oregano -Vegetable oil for frying Instructions: Marinate the chicken: Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. This helps tenderize the chicken and adds flavor. Prepare the coating: In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried basil, and dried oregano. Adjust the quantities to your taste preferences. Coat the chicken: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Let it rest: Place the coated chicken on a wire rack and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes. This helps the coating adhere better to the chicken. Heat the oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to around 350-375°F (175-190°C). Fry the chicken: Carefully place the coated chicken pieces in the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C). Drain and serve: Once cooked, transfer the fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade fried chicken. Credit:- Chat GPT MAKE SOME LOVELY FRIED CHICKEN Y'ALL 🍗♨♨😋😋🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm not telling anyone to do anything, I'm asking people to stop paying for animal cruelty. The truth is funding the dairy and egg industry directly causes animal suffering. They can't choose not to be exploited but you can choose not to pay for their exploitation.
@@patnevin4478why have you been a vegetarian for 40 years? I guess it can’t be for the ethics given the currently known extreme exploitation & slaughter inherent to the dairy and egg industry, combined with the current ease of going vegan?
@@patnevin4478 Sorry but "not for me" is a copout. Why did you originally go vegetarian? If it was to reduce animal exploitation then veganism IS for you. Veganism is reducing animal exploitation as far as possible. Why stop at cutting out flesh when you are still willingly funding torture?
Stewardship over animals is exactly what we should all be doing. Once we realize the truth of the meat dairy egg industries and all the other exploitation of animals we should then make a conscious effort to live by our morals and values and live vegan.
Its common knowledge humans cannot live off a vegan diet (healthily - unless eating artificially fortified foods and/or eating supplements + vitamins). We evolved to eat meat and animal products its a fact of life...
Hey :) I don't think so. The fact that we can survive and thrive on a plant-based diet, and that we feel empathy for animals and feel negative emotions when we witness (/commit) the killing of an animal suggests to me that we shouldn't be eating them. What do you think?

Haha bingo points, I like that way of viewing it. Absolutely, the seed is planted! 🌱
She is certainly already limiting her animal consumption as is, being vegetarian. Better than a lot of people.
