It's like the logical opposite of an unboxing video: a BOXING video.
Also, I love every single one of your goblin-y Rascals. Good job.
Aw man, he's incredible! If you ever get round to selling them as physical products then these rascals will probably mean the end of any remaining fiscal responsibility I possess.
I shall also be keeping an eye out for that.
A miniature series made by one of my all time favorite artists?!? My wallet shall weep for years to come
Yikes
Blood for the...
wow! would love a treasure goblin!
I was really hoping that at the end of the video there'd be a link to purchase the little guy in the box and everything. Great job! Love it!
Me too! ❤
Yes, same here.
me too
Adding my voice to this too.
Agreeeeed
I legit got whiplash for a second cuz I thought you‘re putting these out for real. 10/10 would buy if opportunity presents itself.
Resin printers are coming down in price, Mars 4 9k is at $260 USD. I've spent that on nuln oil Ive spilled.
yea plus the 30 quid a month to get them seems a little high imo
honestly would be a great little business opportunity and she clearly has the skill to market them very well
I would totally buy a couple of these! My 6-year old daughter wants to try her hand at miniature painting and she would adore this little guy (as would I). ❤
My about to be 6 year old daughter would also love these little scamps, I don't yet have a 3D printer so can't quite justify the STL patreon tier + then having to find someone to print them off. Hopefully you can release these soon pre-printed or partner with a printer service online?
Aww I love it! All of this video. Thank you! I really like the idea of larger pieces that are still minis but more like paint pieces or large bois!
These little guys are so dang cute, I want them and to see more of the various creatures from rascal town! They feel very storybook-like
So exciting! I totally want this little guy
Goodness, that's 17 minutes of joy. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congratulations, keep following your passions. Excited to see where you go with this miniature line!
This video from someone I will never meet gave me so much joy to see. Thanks for existing.
Easy tiger
He's adorable. I could see you making a business of these guys, and maybe anything else running around in the land they come from. I say go for it.
It'd be a real shame if these aren't made available to purchase outside of STLs. Cute little box, you've got them number coded so they'd make a nice collectable little range, throw an autograph on there somewhere and people would snap them up!
I agree...
I love him! And the concept of Rascaltown! Go you! Goblin queen!
What a fun and friend shaped little guy! 10/10 would buy a model and paint him as fast as possible.
Congrats on the Figure range! can't wait for that video on photography...Lastly love the content you are putting out!
I would 100% purchase this if it were available as a fully fledged mini product! Everything about this project is fantastic and your passion shines through!
Really enjoyed this video, and it's cool that you've shown the whole process. As a professional miniatures sculptor of many years now, I never tire of the satisfaction of collaborating with a talented artist to bring their passion-project concepts into tangible real-world 3D form. A big part of the reason I've always worked at companies and never "gone rogue", is that *everything else* (in addition to the sculpting) that you show in the video is super important to a viable operation: packaging, photography, marketing, sales, solicitations, bookkeeping, etc. Add to that, the whole manufacturing pipeline if you go beyond STLs and there's... a lot.
That's really cool, love seeing people succeed at what they love!
this is right up my alley RN, eff, the cutest bish in gaming is always coming through with some of the best content too!
I hope you have kids
I would totally buy these if they were pre-printed, they look awesome.
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, and I was honestly shocked at how surprisingly happy it made me feel. I've been having a miserable few months, but your genuine enthusiasm, adorable personality, and editing put a sincere smile on my face. Personal nonsense aside, the miniature is actually really great; the art and paintjob are also fantastic and really shows off some damn good skill! It was a fun insight into the process so thanks again! I look forward to seeing what may come for this lil gobbo, and for you!
Hope things pick up for you fellow human, take care of yourself
I love this little guy. Omg yes. Please please slowly reveal all the little guys and make or Collab with someone to make rascal town to place them in. Maybe over the next year?!
Love it. I would defo buy a preprinted model. Well done 😊
As a fellow graphic designer working in games absolutely love this ❤️
Yaay bud!!
This is so wholesome Louise! I love seeing how excited you are about this, and rightly so! This is incredibly cool and I think you can be very proud of yourself for what you've produced! It's a far cry from seeing me paint marines in my room all those years ago eh! Congrats and all the best for this next venture in Rascaltown! Gav
This is definitely the sort of thing I would buy and then regret when I remembered the state of my painting backlog.
you shoudl totally produce an option to buy these - like spira mirabilis - maybe a limited run or something. This guy looks super cute!
I felt that way when I held my bands album for the first time. Such a moment!!!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to paint an actual line of larger scale goblins. I’m always happy to support community created miniatures that are just fun to paint! I usually do them as gifts. I got a bolt action Marine squad for my old man, Ranni from Elden Ring for my roommate, and some Tortuga Bay Saturnine terminators. Plus I’m looking to get some of Squidmar’s miniatures once they roll in.
I would totally buy the pre-printed finished product. Looks like a lot of fun to paint! Future Patreon tier or Kickstarter, maybe?
A kickstarter would be a great way to get the nessecary funds and know how much should be produced. Like a “Made to Order” which seems to be new hotness over at that one big miniature company based in that sheriff town.
Thank you so much for sharing the processes to went through to make an incredible product! I love seeing how happy this has made you too. I'm excited to see more of the Rascal Town crew come out too!
All the hats you've worn and the fact that you can draw on top of that are amazing and super inspirational!
This vid is magnificent, the news is good and the sneaky dungeon synth was legit. Nice work!
This is massively inspiring. I literally finished sculpting my first ever miniature last week. I trained as an illustrator/designer and have been wondering where precisely to go from here. The timing couldn't have been more perfect!
That is awesome, making the box etc. is honestly half the fun :D
This is the coolest hobby channel on UA-cam by far. Everything about it is just awesome.
That box is a piece of art in itself.
I loved every part of this video. You seem so genuine! Your enthusiasm and humor always shine through in your videos; however, for this one I especially enjoyed your explanations and reasoning for your decisions at each step. I can honestly see my 17 yr old daughter wanting to paint this up and display it right along with her other collectables. Best of luck and keep the amazing, unique content coming!
That little guy is all sorts of awesome - love the character of the whole sculpt! If they ever did go into production, then I would certainly buy one (or several - depending if more are released)
You could even go as far as doing seasonal themed sculpts - maybe Halloween or Christmas 😃
Would really love to get my hands on some physical copies of those delightful little rascals!
How can someone put so much detail and love in one miniature… awesome!
I love all of my children :')
This is 100% a product created with love, something that is sorely lacking from the miniature community. There were so many lovely little touches and thoughts put into it. Wish companies did this at a large scale.
Every thing about this is so wholesome and amazing. So happy for you!
This is amazing... can't wait to see the full Rascaltown! Love this dude!
Wow! That looks great. I especially love the drawing. Gives me a nice Paul Bonner vibe. And by the way: the music around 15:15 fits perfectly
Thank you so much 😀
I Flippin love that derpy Lil fish 😅 what an adorable miniature you've made.
Noooo! I was so sure you were going to end with a link to purchase this dude! You've got to sell these as physical miniatures, surely? They're amazing!
Great video love the miniature goblin… first time seeing your videos so I’ve subscribed… nice job 🍻👍
We all love an adorable miniature goblin doing what they love. The mini is super cool too.
Thanks bud :')
I love how each of your videos just seems so unique and fresh. Loved how seamlessly the painting mixed in with the entire concept to final product video.
That is Amazing. Id defiantly be up for buying and collecting them, especially with the boxes for display.
The feeling of "This thing I made is my baby." when something gets physically made also happens in design engineering. It can kind of suck in a "professional" (corporate) setting though because you (I) get forced to churn out designs without giving them the full love they deserve.
Omg please make these available with the box! Don’t have a 3D printer and it’s just a shame to miss out on something that came from the heart and genuine passion for the hobby. I’ll definitely order if you’re able to make it available!
Would love to see RH-001 (and friends) for sale all boxed up and adorable.
(Sorry in advance for geeking/freaking out) Oh My God!! This is exactly the kind of goblin I've had envisioned in my head when I play as one during my local D&D sessions.
For context I play as a goblin bard named Creedence who grew up in a fishing village/swamp. So your adorable little miniature would fit right in.
Hey Louise, will you ever consider making them available pre printed? I don't own a 3D printer but would really love to buy these
Its definitely something im thinking about...
Please 🥺
@@roguehobbiesPlease do!
I second, no… fourth that request!
@@roguehobbies Yes please!
Congratulations on making your own mini. It was great to see how the process of making it.
Louise, this little fella is incredible! It'd be a crime against the hobby if you don't release him! Failing that, could I be your friend? 😂😂😂
Oh I absolutely LOVE that goblin! He's SUPER adorable and looks fun as hell to paint! I'd totally buy one.
You should INDEED be very proud of this accomplishment. This took a tremendous amount of talent, but also initiative and courage. Your kind nature regarding the environment and appreciation for those who have supported you throughout your career really comes through. I am very happy to see such a success story of a really good person. Keep it up!
this is ridiculously amazing, what a display of talent. I watch a lot of hobby stuff on yt and I don't think I've ever seen a video like this
Seriously. Your passion for all this is on an entirely inaccessible level for mortal man. You might be a bit goblin.
Kids are definitely going to love painting that style of mini, really super cute. The box is mint as well!
I think your Instagram account has been hijacked.
Dang the subtle knowledge of this video. You made it look easy. But this just speaks of your knowledge and wisdom. And we'll the magic of editing as you condense this project into small little video
I'll give you all me dwarven gold if you were to start creating and selling miniatures. This lil' guy was just SO GOOD and I'd love to paint one myself. Maybe even multiple.
Perhaps a dozen or so.
Possibly enough to choke a Collosal Squig with.
Awesome video. When you had on the beret I thought you would be changing costumes for each job. Wonderful stuff learned. Keep up the good work.
Sitting here, reassembling and cleaning up a High Elf army that's languished on a shelf for a decade and just playing UA-cam in the background, and your video comes up on autoplay. And it was a treat.I have some young cousins who have wanted some miniatures of their own after seeing my collection, and i think i now know just what to start them with.
Oh Sugs these are absolutely beautiful!
The boxes are so gorgeous too that I'd want to display them with the mini itself!
Awesome goblin! We totally need a miniature range of those little guys! Great job, Louise!
This is incredibly cute! I love the personality and details of the (big) little guy!
Really enjoyed a tour through the process as well, made for a great video.
Congrats on having your dream/vision come to life!
YES. Thank you for making large models! I try to paint with my husband but my attention span is very short and I hate the creative part of it (I like practical and analytical stuff, so tutorials are great. Nothing sounds more painful than coming up with a paint scheme from scratch for me, which is why I love all of you so much!). The tiny baby bits are SO obnoxious to me, and if i screwed it up, I'm done. So THANK YOU for making larger scale minis so I can enjoy it more. :D
man this is so sick, really enjoyed breaking down the box design. i've been wanting to get into packaging design forever
You should do it! Your packaging would look so dope i bet
Yes! This whole process was absolutely fasinating to watch and learn about and your little gobbos are fantastic. I run Warhammer and D&D clubs at the school I work at and could see the kids absolutely loving designing, printing and boxing up their own personal minis. I will have to brush up on my 3D art skills! Your creativity and enthusiasm are a joy to behold
Perhaps license or locate a set of stl files with arms, legs, torsos, heads, etc, along with accents like weapons, and other items, and that could streamline the design process for the kids and keep frustration and disappointment at lowest possible levels for the kids. The rest is butter. A good camera, a good pc, a good printer. My suggestion would be to use a cameo or curio cutting tool to do a print and cut system, where you print the box, then just load it into the cutter and it cuts out the box perfectly, again, limiting the kids need to use exacto knives and making the process quck and easy to demonstrate and do successfully
Great work, we can really tell that you love what you do and are happy doing it! Looking forward to being able to purchase ALL of these little goblins, AND their boxes!
Wow, what a brilliant series of characters. You should be proud. They look like they’d bring the fun to painting!
What a fantastic little Goblin!! Amazing work, great to see a fantastic lil world come to life!!
I would love to support you by buying this as a boxed product. I love all the work that was put into the box, cards and miniature. Your passion for this hobby is inspiring!
One proud goblin parent! I love the look of this range and would snap up these miniatures if they were sold physically. These would make the perfect gift the way they are presented.
Love this little fishing goblin and I love the whole idea of rascal town. I can't wait to see more of this
I love that it is a miniature for painters of all levels love it Rogue 👍
I love these little whimsical and funny goblins! I would love to see these in my local hobby shop!
Oh wow! Louise I just spotted on the shelf behind you one of the old Trolls games. Looks like Trolls in the Pantry. I only remember them from seeing them on the shelf in the hobby store and later GW stores. Or on the back of some of my brother's old Boxed Sets like Warhammer Fantasy Regiments or Terminator Squad.
They used to play the audio tapes of trolls' songs you got with the game in Games Workshop Hull or maybe even The Model Shop or Model Box in Hull too before we had a GW store.
These bigger models look brilliant! I already want the whole range already.
I love your whimsical take on things. He is amazing as are you. Thanks for sharing.
Painting Orks is just so much fun - thank you Louise for sharing your creativity, enthusiasm and skills as a graphic designer and UA-camr.
Thank you for talking about miniature photography. I feel like mine has now levelled up after realizing I should be using the stack method!
Congrats on your first miniature. He looks amazing. I love his little frog and the look on the fishes face 10/10
I don't have a 3d printer but would love to paint one of these up. If you ever do a Limited run I would definitely buy one.
Neat! A great overview of the whole process, and this was the first time I had seen someone using the photostacking method for product photography. Thank you!
I would buy this right now. I love everything about this. That is a fantastic paintjob too. For some reason I can't stop staring at that floppy dead fish. That is an adorable floppy dead fish.
Impressive. Really shines a light on how achievable this process is for fellow enthusiasts.
Yeah! Watching this video makes me want to make a miniature of my own!
@@_JellyWalker I believe in you!
What a cool video! This was a really fun look into a side of the business of miniature making I've never seen before. Also, your goblins look fantastic. Really top notch work. Cheers!
Omg he’s so cute!
I really want to buy one
that goblin is fun and its always great seeing someone share something they are passionate about
I really love seeing the different steps in making such a beautiful model. I love to paint miniatures myself and sometimes I give workshops in miniature painting and I absolutely love how big the details are
Absolutely love the mini and your video!! It's such a pleasure to watch someone excel in what they love about the hobby- cheers!
This is a gorgeous passion product, i haven't seen any mini see this much love and detail in every aspect from the producer. Very nice stuff
Great video! Love the lil dude, the packaging, paint job, it all came together lovely!
I've been looking for this kind of sculpts since i began painting miniatures and you being the artist is the biggest bonus ever! Please take my money!!!
