Fernando Alonso's F1 career length has been on another level. he's raced against 2 families so far: Mick Schumacher and Michael Schumacher Max Verstappen and Jos Verstappen
There is a slim chance he could race 3, the leclerc brothers, but it would require any team hiring arthur leclerc as main pilot and alonso to stay long enough to see that happen (i have no doubts on the second part)
A few more for you. Max Verstappen has finished a race in every position except 14th. Four drivers have won a WDC without a Fastest Lap, and one of them - Emerson Fittipaldi - did it twice Niki Lauda won the 1984 title despite not starting on the front row all season, losing the qualifying battle 1-15 to Alain Prost and winning two less races Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri have all completed every racing lap in at least one season. Michael was the only one to finish on the podium in every race, Oscar is the only one of the quartet not to be WDC
Prior to Jenson Button winning the WDC in 2009, of the British world driver's champions, English drivers only won the WDC in even numbered years (1958, 1962, 1964, 1968, 1976, 1992, 1996, 2008), and Scottish drivers won in odd numbered years (1963, 1965, 1969, 1971, 1973).
I have one. If either Lewis or Fernando win a race in 2025, they would be the first F1 driver 40 years or older to win a race since Nigel Mansell in Australia 1994
Not sure it is a true story, but supposedly Jack Brabham was trying to pass a driver in front of him at a race for several laps, and he realized he didn't have enough speed at the end of the straight, so he tore both rear view mirrors from his car off, and this gave him enough speed to make the pass.
In Dalmas's case the team had one car for the entire season and then brought a second one for the last three races. Similarly there were few teams in 1980s which debuted mid-season before entering F1 full-time from the beginning of next season. But in those cases, teams/drivers didn't score any points.
Nigel only started 4 races that year. The French GP, the European GP, the Japanese GP and the Australian GP. So yes, after Senna's death there were no WC on the grid

Also Ralf Schumacher and Nelson Piquet Jr is technically part of Verstappens family, as he is Maxs brother in law

Wasn't the 2011 canadian gp the slowest average speed? I can see why you would discount that since most of it was spent standing still
The speeds they went at when it was actually in progress were probably fast enough that the average was still higher than 1950 Monaco.
I feel like you can't count red flag time in the average speed calculations
Jim Clark actually won his last 3 F1 Grands Prix. He really did pass in his prime, for sure he would've won the 1968 WDC.
Your channel is really good homie. Keep at it. The numbers will take care of themselves.

As opposed to the normal F1 info that I use everyday at work?
6:10 After Senna died in 1994, there were no champions on the gird, right? Was there a race without Mansell?

@@reptongeekbut still, Mansell was on the grid even if he wasn’t in all the races, so there were still champions, same goes for senna

What about mercedes and 4 time champions, who've had Fangio and Hamilton?
Fangio won 2 world titles for Mercedes. Vettel and Verstappen won all 4 world titles with Red Bull
@stopgof1 ah
2025 will be the first season in F1 that Mercedes haven’t had a Champion in their lineup (sorry if that was in the video)
