  • I have tried and tested the 2 lower priced options in this video, using each for over 2 years on all my site surveys, so I can recommend them with confidence for their simplicity and reliability:
    2:08 - Zokoun CS-70 laser measure: amzn.to/40ayrrH
    8:48 - Huepar FL-360G laser level: shrsl.com/49ibn
    19:22 - Wall Bracket for Huepar FL-360G
In the video I compare each with higher priced (but still very good value) alternatives with additional features:
    4:42 - Inkerma DM-262 laser measure: amzn.to/46tNGy6
    13:12 - Lasgoo LG-3DS laser level: www.amazon.co....
    10% off code:
    UK: NEAFL5MC
    20:08 - Wall bracket for Lasgoo LG-3DS
20:50 - Fine adjustments on Lasgoo wall bracket

👍 the second level looks like the Kaiweets. Wish the bracket that came with the Kaiweets was the same. Might pick up a third party bracket 😀

Hi. How credible is the claim that laser measures are accurate to within +/- 2mm. Are they more of an estimating tool, or is work where precision is needed really achievable?
I have seen other joiners / kitchen fitters / trim carpenters on UA-cam using them for precise measurements for skirtings, and plinths, cornices etc, over reasonably long distances, and when they've fitted it, it's spot on first time. Is this reality, or clever editing? Would you trust them for a critical measurement?
    Thanks

Hi sorry for the delayed reply. I've just checked the specs and actually the Inkerma model says accurate to 1/8 inch (3mm +) and the Zokoun says 1/16 inch (close to 1.5mm). And it was the Zokoun that I was first wowed by, when I was measuring to scribe a desk which had to be fitted with a bevel cut on one end against a sloping ceiling. So I had to measure a distance of around 2m from a vertical surface, over into the angle created between the sloping ceiling and a supporting batten prepared to receive that end of the desk. It was a tight enough gap that I couldn't get the hook of my tape measure into the far end of it. So without any great expectation of accuracy I pointed the laser of the Zokoun CS-70 precisely into the far corner of that angle, then marked my board (transferring the measurement from the laser measure screen onto the board using a tape measure) and cut the bevel. I was AMAZED how spot on it proved to be, even when the laser wasn't pointed at a perpendiular surface.

Does this link work? It's an instagram highlight of the 'story' videos I took of what I described above: instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MDU2Mzk3OTQ2NDcyMzY4?igsh=MTEyb2tmaDJ4ajhwbw==

Hi Alistair, Thanks for this, just got myself the Inkerma dual laser measurer. I have a question about the max/min mode in live recording - I cannot seem to be able to use the dual mode when doing max/min. I watched your example closely and noticed that yours also reversed to single laser mode, measuring from the bottom of the unit, when you went to live recording. You can see that the icon changed and you lost a metre in distance. Have you been able to get the max/min live mode working with both lasers?
    Thanks, Dan

I hadn’t actually spotted this, but from looking at page 7 of the little manual it looks like the max / min function does only work with one-way measurement
