I've heard other streamers say this is possibly the only survivor game where pickup radius is better than xp gain......and this run epitomizes that, lol.
I'm coming to the realization too. Less magnets, and huge swarms make it tough to gather the EXP.

That's i have spend all resources on upgrading luck, everything i've mined. It's level 10 now. Hopefully it means i get significantly more legendaries. But i've also only played for a few days.
Luck stat does seem to really matter in this game. Mine is 7 or something I don't just bought whatever I had enough resources for and very rarely sold or bought new resources
Yeah I think so too, and getting those +1 beam, and beam range is so important for those weapons. So I just went all in on it.

Status effects can crit because i remember getting perks that specifically give criticism to my electric as soon as I had multiple guns with electric. But I'm pretty sure normal crit works too. The numbers are a bit bigger when they crit.
Hopefully they'll make the colors darker when statuses crit in the future so you can tell easier.
Crit means critical, not criticism.

Cool thing about the driller: Not only does he get a %20 mining speed buff, but when mining he gains a %2 mining speed buff that stacks 25 times.
that’s only the first augment or whatever it’s called though, and you don’t start with the flamethrower with that

Pickled nitra and gold tipped rounds is essentially a win condition for a lot of builds. Get a few movespeed cards and every negative is offset and you have significantly more damage...
Status can crit, you can literally see it on the video. Some poison ticks do 4 damage while others do 7~8.

Game is just hard in general, I can only clear Hazard 3 on the first Biome.

get crit, get microwave, get the perk that increase stacking dmg on microwave. watch everything dies
I've been wanting to do a microwave build soon.
Microwave is so good, cleared 3 the first time I used it without overdrives unlocked for it yet.
I've already played 50 hours of this game. So far, fire damage seems to be the best, plasma is second. Driller foreman is by far the best class

Same, probably my favorite survivor game.
Level 18 crisper and still only about 550 dps. Yep, that pretty much lines up with my experience with it.
Ya, I was disppointed in the one...maybe I picked the wrong upgrades for it...but still.
you're looking at the wrong thing though, 3.38M fire damage. it actually lines up with DRG, the flamethrower itself doesn't do anything but the fire it leaves behind melts
@@Floofermancer Yeah, I noticed that it doesn't actually line up with total fire damage dealt. But it's still by far my least successful starter weapon.
This build doesn't work for hazard three and above, simply because you'd be dead before you managed to get it to its full damage potential. On hazard four, not a chance in hell if you start with the flamethrower. You need something that cuts through crowds, like electricity. I find the forward facing shotgun with electricity damage has been an absolute godsend but still haven't beat hazard four because I think the RNG is going to be the dependent factor because you just don't get any breaks in the lines like you do in lower hazards and it's really hard to do enough damage to create the breaks. If you get stuck on the wrong side of empowered swarm, even a single level of empowerment on hazard four you can kiss your arse goodbye. Also the dreadnought on hazard four is brutally tanky and can kill you in one or two charges.
Cool game, might get this one while I'm waiting for Helldivers 2's server to be fixed lol
I just bought Helldivers 2 the other day. Tried to log on and couldn’t. I haven’t tried since though lol.
@@OHRyePlays managed to log in but the matchmaking is also borked so ended up playing solo, not as fun as doing coop.
I dont have the game but i think with the driller you can pick the first subclass and two mining speed Upgrades and take all of the Ressources and later in the shop take all. I dont know how good can be but i like the idea
Ya, the miner is the best class for farming resources and buying upgrades.
I try it with a cheat engine for fun to give me an idea of what would happen once they gave us Endless mode (which they are planning to add later), and while I wasn't able to make the run last forever I did increase the exp gain by 10x!
On the 5th floor I was at lv120 with Flamethrower, Sludge and Cryo gun all with 7-8 beams each and the flame turret with 5 beams! I also got lot of Beam range upgrade which make my beam cover from top to bottom of the screen!

going for beams (at least in the demo) was just luck. with enough luck you got projectiles from the normal level ups somewhat regularely. for example in my lvl 100 run i had 17 beams with the bugzapper... and yes: it was awesome :D

Great video as always. Made me laugh though as you missed some nitra next to a red wall like 2X then could have bought a legendary for 50% acid dmg it would have been even more insane. I get it, it's hard to narrate and play the same time. It's not you doing badly its naturally hard to mulitask

A lot of it is rng based, if you get a lot a nothing upgrades especially early on your run is doomed. Chuck in a free legendary perks and it its a great start into an amazing one. But don't expect a run like this every time

I just played a game as a sharp shooter, got the Golden bullets first game.
Then stacked up all my gold combined with crit.
By endgame I had 460 gold (+230 damage), 97 crit chance and 360 crit damage.
I melted everything 😂😂.
That was when I realized the fun builds you can make.
Ya, I agree...there's a lot of cool builds and weapons combos you can do!

I tried a few runs just before watching this, and yea the crispr is ass! The flame grenade did like 4x the damage as well. Probably weapons with massive aoe are just OP but the crispr still seems pretty bad. You can see the difference with how much better the flame turrets are just because they are targeted; Without a bunch of beams the crispr doesn't hit anything half the time. I think the damage might be decent on it, so maybe to make it work you'd prioritise extra beams and beam length over damage and hope the aoe diff is enough to make it useful?
I think beam length would have helped a lot. Maybe the acid just over powered the flame too ya know?
@@OHRyePlays I did like 6 or so runs of this. One of my runs with the flame grenade as 2nd weapon had it do 10 MILLION dmg, but it still felt weak somehow. There's something fishy about these DoTs, the acid is crazy good, but for some reason all the fire DoTs feel a lot weaker. Maybe it's just uptime, or DoT tickrate, or the acid overlaps and stacks but fire might not.

10$ to repeat the same lvl and mobs over and over and over again with the same weapons that don't synergize or change or do anything cool or combine in any way ever before or after overclocking. i'm good, i prefer just to watch 😅
