Yesss SUPER JUNIOR! The King of Hallyu
I know you're into vocal so as an ELF I will recomended you to check out:
    - "Twins (Knock Out)" MV. Its their debut song released in 2005, so that you know they've been serving vocal since day 1
    - "Don't Don" MV. A comeback after almost half of the member got major car accident, one of them (kyuhyun) almost lost his voice but thankfully he is recovered and still with us till now as a main vocalist!
    - "Sorry, Sorry" MV. The called classic (their golden era), but since the audio version got a lot of auto tuned (its a thing in that era, live concert / band version is a lot better), I will recommended you to check out the song called "Sorry, Sorry - Answer" instead because it scream VOCAL, highly recomended!
    - "MAMACITA" MV, this is the era when I started to be their fans, you can see their real personality in this era and I love everything about it!
    - "SPY" MV, the song that actually loved by ELF's but the member really hate to perform it on the concert because of the hard choreography LOL
    - "Burn The Floor" Performance Video, just a masterpiece that people have been sleeping on (definitely need more recognition!)
    - "SUPERMAN" MV, a cult song that you willingly join LOL. They also felxing their vocal here.
Actually, too much SJ song that I can recommended you to check out. You won't regret it lol
Anyway, thankss for your reaction video. I enjoyed it a lot!

SISTAR were nicknamed the sisters of summer and it was said that summer never really started until SISTAR had their comeback. SISTAR was a Starship Entertainment group who debuted in 2010. (Hence their name, SIS-STAR, Star-ship ;D)
The group is made up of Hyolyn who is the leader and main vocalist with diva Whitney Houston-type vocals, Bora who is the main rapper (Fun fact: Bora in Korean means purple), SoYou who is a lead vocalist and Dasom who is the maknae and a lead vocalist.
Second gen. was such a great era. This generation was so iconic because there was hardly any rivalries and everyone was friends regardless of what company they were from. The early days of second gen. were when the Kpop industry really started to hit its stride and many programs and events were just getting established, so Kpop groups spent a lot of time together on variety shows and backstage at music programs, etc., and they established amazing friendships.
As you saw, SISTAR's concept is all about embracing a more sexy style. They were known for their sexy outfits and dance moves, for wearing heels in everything they did, and their amazing vocals. I would consider them one of Kpop's diva girl groups.
If you think they were sexy in their "Alone" MV, just wait until you see them perform live. The choreography for "Alone" is super iconic and not only do girl groups cover this song, but even boy groups know the dance and do parody performances.
SISTAR had a unique style for a Kpop group. With their reputation for representing everything summer, one of the things they became known for was that they were one of the only Kpop groups, and some of the very few Koreans, who embraced tanning. Part of SISTAR's look was the fact that they actually wanted to be tan. In western culture getting a suntan in the summer is equated by the majority of people as a way to look healthy and have a summer glow. However, as you may have noticed, in Korean culture the whiter and pailer a person's skin is the more beautiful they are considered. That is why we see most idols and celebrates avoid the sun as much as possible because they don't want to darken their skin. I have even heard American Kpop stars say that people suggested that they bleach their skin, to get rid of their tan and to make their skin as white as possible. And that is also why you often hear Koreans comment about or point out how someone has a darker skin tone, etc.
SISTAR decided to disband in 2017 when their contract was up after their 7th anniversary and now the members are all solo artists and actors. (I can't wait for you to check out some of their solo content.) However, Sistar19, which is a sub-unit with Hyolyn and Bora -- the 19, I believe, is because they both were 19 at the time of the sub-unit's debut -- just had a comeback at the beginning of 2024 with their title track "No More (Ma Boy)" and B-side "Saucy" on their 2 track digital album No More (Ma Boy) after more than 10 years. (BTW, Sistar19's debut song was "Ma Boy," so their new title track and album is a reference to how they have now grown up, etc.)
SHINee's Key is really good friends with SoYou and she was even featured in his solo debut song "Forever Yours." (She wasn't in his MV, just her vocals, but she participated in several comeback stage performances with Key.)

"Mr. Simple" came out in 2011 and there are 10 members of the 13 member group in the MV. Kibum and Hangeng had left the group at this point and KangIn was serving in the military at this time.
The whole theme for this album and comeback was supposed to be high-fashion pretty boys, so the clothing styles and looks in "Mr. Simple" are supposed to be their model, fashion show looks. It's supposed to be over the top and a little crazy because if you have ever seen runway fashions at a high-fashion fashion show, they aren't normal looks that an average person would ever really wear. It's more about the artistry of the pieces of clothing and how they are paired together with the styling of the model.
The individual shots of them posing are intentionally like that because they are posing like models for a high-fashion magazine photoshoot. That's why we see the lights flashing in the background and why they keep posing for the camera, because those are camera flashes. They are in the middle of a photoshoot. It's supposed to highlight each of their model looks. Plus, fans want to get to see each of the members up close and really take in each of them individually.
Although Super Junior has 15 members in total, they are actually one of the most unique groups as a whole because the members are so completely different from each other, which is why they are often individually highlighted in their MVs. If it wasn't for SM's original plan to make them a project group, where members would eventually "graduate" from the group and take on new roles within the entertainment industry, the members of Super Junior probably would have never been a part of the same group.
When the group was created they were considered the super rookies of the company so they were given the name Super Junior '05. The original purpose of the group was for the members to get more experience in all aspects of the entertainment industry while they also worked as singers and dancers. For example, Shindong and Eunhyuk were supposed to be training as comedians and hosts, Siwon was an actor, etc. (That is why the members of Super Junior are involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry today.)
The original plan was that after about 3 to 6 months, when SM decided the members had gained enough experience, the individual members would graduate from the group and form other groups or move on to other careers within the entertainment industry, etc. and new members would be added to the group. Hence, why they had 'O5 in their name originally.
However, Super Junior gained a very large and vocal Korean fandom even before they debuted, and when the fans heard about SM's plan to have the members of Super Junior leave the group, the fans got together and demanded that SM allow Super Junior to stay together. With large scale protests and purchasing enough shares of SM stocks, fans became voting members of SM Entertainment's board of directors and were able to force SM to promise that Super Junior would become a permanent group. E.L.F. (Ever Lasting Friends -- SJ's fandom) are some of the most loyal and vocal of all Kpop fans.
Plus, I think one reason why fans were so upset about Super Junior '05's concept was the fact that the members of Super Junior were actually part of a larger group of trainees who the fans had watched go through an elimination process. The members who "made it" where the 5 members who originally became the members of TVXQ, and the members who formed Super Junior '05 were the "castoffs." But fans had already formed a bond with ALL the trainees, so they were upset that the other members who "didn't make it" (Super Junior members) might eventually disappear from the spotlight, etc.
When Super Junior first debuted on Nov 6, 2005, they had 12 members, but 6 months later Kyuhyun was added to the group to officially make them a 13 member group.
Then in 2008, SM created the very first Mandarin Chinese sub-unit designed to bring Kpop to the Chinese market and they added 2 new members to Super Junior (Zhoumi and Henry) and Super Junior officially became a 15 member group. Henry is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian and Zhoumi is native Chinese. However, Zhoumi and Henry were only allowed to be members of Super Junior-M. So, Super Junior is a 13 member group + 2 (Super Junior-M) members.
So, technically, Super Junior was "originally" a 15 member group. However, in the same way that the Korean ELF supported Super Junior and forced SM to make them a permanent group, in 2008 when SM announced the addition of Henry and Zhoumi and the creation of Super Junior-M, Korean fans protested yet again. But this time they were against adding any new members to Super Junior. So the Korean fans forced SM, this time, to agree to only make Henry and Zhoumi members of Super Junior's Mandarin sub-unit (they needed more Chinese members to make the Chinese sub-unit work), and they were not allowed to be included in anything to do with the main group of Super Junior.
That's why you should also check out some of Super Junior-M's songs, because you are totally missing out on the musical genius of Henry and Zhoumi as well.

Since you love vocals, I think you'd really enjoy Super Junior's main vocalists Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung! They have a subunit (Super Junior-KRY) and a bunch of solo songs. They're considered some of the absolute best vocals in the kpop industry. Suju's group songs don't really tend to show that off as visibly, but as a subunit and as individuals they've dived into a lot of different genres. For example, the contrast between Sorry Sorry (Suju's most famous group song) and Sorry Sorry Answer (an R&B version made by KRY) is crazy haha.
I also think Alone is a huge bop, but Sistar's summer songs like I Swear, Touch My Body, Shake it etc. are where it's at for me! KARA are an absolutely amazing group as well, after the Killing Voice I'd recommend songs like Step, Mamma Mia, and Lupin too.

Yes Super Junior! I recommend "Raining spell for love (the remake version)", "More days with you" and Super Junior KRY's "Dorothy" to give u a glimpse of what they could do with their voices, ballad wise.
Their upbeat songs are hella catchy, and they're the OG variety show kings, just a bunch of crazy dudes, so really, never a dull moment with SuJu
Please do some Super Show (their own concert) reactions. You'll not gonna regret it😊

2PM is the group that coined the title "Beast Idols", which means they are very athletic, muscular and toned -- they had/have a much more masculine image then the typical boy group when they debuted. In the beginning they were also known for their tricking and stunting. 2PM's former leader, Jay Park, was a member of a B-boy crew before becoming to Korea to be a trainee, so JYP was inspired by his skill set and had the members learning acrobatic stunts that were incorporated into their choreography.
2PM debuted in 2008 -- only about 3 months after SHINee -- so last year was the group's 16th anniversary. Even though 2PM is a JYP group and SHINee is an SM group, in the early days, 2PM and SHINee appeared on a lot of variety shows together and they were often paired together. So, 2PM and SHINee are pretty close. This was the golden era of second gen.
    The members include:
    > Jun K, who is a main vocalist.
    > Nichkhun, who is a vocalist, rapper and the visual of the group.
    > Taecyeon (pronounced like Tock-Yeon or Take-Yeon), who is the main rapper and a vocalist.
    > Wooyoung, who is the the main dancer and a vocalist.
    > Junho, who is a main vocalist and lead dancer.
    > Chansung, who is the maknae, a lead rapper and a lead vocalist.
Fun fact: Nichkhun was the very first Thai Kpop idol, and people have nicknamed him "the prince of Thailand." (He's the one that most often has the English lines. Nichkhun and Taecyeon are fluent in English because their families lived in the U.S. for several years when they were growing up.)
Just wait until you see 2PM perform live.
2PM is a JYP group, so their choreography is very JYP-like. If you have ever seen any of JY Park's songs (Park JinYoung -- the founder of JYP Entertainment) you will understand what JYP-style dance is like. JYP is known for his dancing and he has a hand in, not only producing his groups' songs, but he often participates in creating the groups choreography, so you will see his style and influence, especially in the early rookie days, of all of his groups.
2PM's fandom is named Hottest because 2PM is supposed to be the hottest part of the day. And they were actually created as the counterparts to JYP's ballad boy group 2AM. 2AM's fandom is named I AM because 2AM + 2PM = one day and when combined they become "I AM Hottest." The groups were sort of designed to be the polar opposites of each other as part of their concepts.
On a side note: 2PM used to be a 7 member group, Park JaeBeom (Jay Park), who was originally the leader of 2PM, left the group about a year after debut because of some misunderstandings and controversy.
Jay, who is Korean-American, left the group in 2009/2010 and went back home to Washington, but he was so popular in Korea that fans demanded he come back and continue making music. So in 2011 he came back to Korea and signed with a small company and became a solo hip-hop artist.
But being under a Korean company still didn't allow him to truly make the music he wanted to make, so in 2013 Jay became the founder and CEO of his own Korean record label named AOMG. The Label is named after the Seattle-based B-Boy group, he was a member of called "Art of Movement." In 2017 Jay also started an international record label called H1GHR Music and in 2018 he was signed to Jay-Zs record label Roc Nation as he made his way into the American music Industry.
He has since stepped down as CEO and now is just a shareholder in both AOMG and H1GHR Music. In 2022 he started his new music label More Vision, which he established as a way to delve more into the Kpop industry, with plans to launch his own Kpop boy group, as well as represent other artists.
Jay also still releases his own music, as well as collaborates with a lot of other Kpop artists, and is a host, mentor and judge on a lot of Korean, Chinese and Thai idol trainee survival reality programs, etc. He is a big deal as a solo artist, as well as one of the top music moguls in Korea and internationally.

"Alone" is the music video that made me fall in love with Sistar. For me, it feels like girl groups were allowed to be more mature sexy back in second generation. I feel like the "sexy" concepts nowadays for girl groups feel very juvenile, at least to me. It gives over manufactured social media sexiness but that might just be because I'm much older now. I admit my view may be obscured a bit though. Also, I'm not talking about young groups, I mean even from third generation there was a shift in the way girl groups expressed a more mature concept, but I like that they were allowed to push the boundaries more in second gen if they wanted to. I don't know a group out currently that could pull off something like "Alone" right now other than maybe Mamamoo.
I highly recommend checking out f(X). f(X) were SHINee's sister group and the only K-pop girl group that had an actual tomboy member, Amber. She always wore short hair and never wore heels or skirts because that wasn't her style. I've never seen another K-pop idol like here before or since. Unfortunately, f(X) did not have the luck in the industry that SHINee did as SM paid them dust and treated them like second class citizens at the company. Despite that though, they made fantastic experimental dance music, and the girls are all so talented. They're incredibly underrated so it'd be nice to see someone check them out.

2nd generation is known for being the golden age of K-Pop. I agree with you that many groups - from the 4 big companies (SM, YG, JYP and later BigHit/HYPE) - sound similar. Like Shinee and Super Junior instrumentals.
Good news: Yes, Kara is still active. As is 2pm and Super Junior. Sistar is the only band from this watch that disbanded.
If you want watch more from Super Junior: Mango, Sorry Sorry and Bonamama
