Lots of comments on here asking about what brand this sink is. At 6:23 of the video, when they are lifting the sink into place, you can see a sticker with the brand name on it. It is a Blanco sink. I’ve looked at their website and I don’t see this sink available anymore. No mention of an integrated gasket on any of their sinks. UPDATE: I just talked to Blanco on February 20, 2023. They advised that ALL of their stainless steel sinks come with an integrated gasket and hold down clips!! So there ya go!!

She legitimately looks so excited for the new sink and faucet! that's awesome. Thanks for the detailed vid, I just recently replaced my faucet and this would've been helpful. Will be useful when we replace the sink! Thanks!!
Sir, thank you so much for this detailed video. I installed our new sink with this. I can only imagine what a contractor would’ve charged us. Parts of my install was a challenge, due to such tight quarters and my plumbing inexperience, but I got it done. Also, I replaced the all the piping with a $15 garbage disposal piping kit from Home Depot. It was very easy. Thanks again!
I disagree. YT should have a method to filter comments from obviously bored losers living in their mom's basement. What does replacing a sink and being productive have to do with playing video games anyway? Why are they here in the first place?
I would recommend changing out those old compression water valves with some new, modern and much more reliable ball valves. Guess that's another show. Good job Richard!
I always appreciate these videos, but man nothing and I mean nothing works this smoothly in real life. I fixed a leaky bathroom sink handle yesterday, took me forever, and I had a hardware store run mid-job. Must have said GD and MF a dozen times each! In the end I did get the job done thanks to these videos!
Nice clean job as always ..... my only dislike was the way the sink was positioned with the on off in the front like that I think looks way better if it were spun to the right ... but I guess different states different looks nice job!!
For those replacing a garbage disposal: I can never get it connected (video part 10:15) because of the weight, so I use a car jack to lift and hold it in place so I can screw it on. Works like a charm!
Nice video! Good info! I needed help with having to get 32-year-old PVC drain pipes to line up to a new, molded-in, Corian sink, with the drain holes cut in a totally different location. I just hope that the PVC joints are NOT GLUED, like I've seen in other videos from other mid-80s builds! With MY luck, they probably are.
This is a how too video How to get the customer to chip in and help. They cut the video a little short what you did not see was the lady homeowner carrying his tools out to the truck. Nice job I learned a lot
If your plumbing is very old often the shutoff valves under the sink can leak and/or not completely stop the flow of water. You can shut off the water main to the house and the feed valve into the hot water heater, then open the lowest (basement) faucet in the house to relieve the pressure. Then disconnect and install new lines onto shutoff valves. You might also want to just replace the shutoff valves under sink as well if they are all cruddy (if they thread onto supply lines, otherwise just leave em alone). Also, don't overtighten the flexible supply line compression fittings-just snug them up. If they leak, you can just tighten them a bit more until they stop leaking.
I had my kitchen remodeled after 14 years. I'm on a well with hard water. Do you think my stupid plumber recommended installing new shut off valves under the sink, when the area was open and new cabinets were being installed? Heck, no! Fast forward 16 years. I'm about to replace the faucet myself and the first order of business will be sweating on new shut offs.
MarzNet256 if I have to replace my shut off valves and they're so cruddy I need to cut the copper pipe, do I need to do anything special besides sand and cut them before putting the new stop valves on? The new ones are sharkbite valves.
and if your main shutoff in the house fails as it did in mine then in the front yard there should be a township/city shut off valve so you can replace everything. Renovations always a fun thing!
we lived in a duplex where the disposer would back up into the dishwasher. Nothing like running a cycle and then having your stuff come out dirtier than it went in - and with the crap baked on
looks sooo easy! case in point. tile counter top. tile overhangs cut out for sink. cut out just barely big enough for the new sink. clips are too short because of the tile. faucet hits window sill and can't tighten down.
The best part about this video is the trick back pad Richard introduces to great fanfare; the worst part is that he didn't say the name or list it in the tools section. Don't bait us like that, Richard!
I love seeing these videos. They give a lot of feedback. I also love the part on 3:18. It gets me thinking what happens after recording. 🤣😂 Just click on the time. Lol
I have got the same sink with new faucet. Was planning changing the sink to stainless steal, the white one just kept getting stains and got tire of that. Thank you for this video, sure is easy to replace.
They didn't show it, but they obviously did that before turning on the water. When she opened the faucet the first time, it flowed like it was never disconnected. If they hadn't run the water already, it would have burped and sputtered until the air was purged.
To cut pipes close to a wall or other obstruction, use string. Take some string, the same stuff a string line uses, put it around the pipe and "saw" thru it but pulling it back and forth. Sounds crazy but it works great.

I wish he would have showed the tightening wrench that comes with garbage disposals. It's a lot more versatile than using a screwdriver, especially when working in tight areas, plus it's made to insert into the bottom of disposals to manually turn them if they become stuck.

Likely because most sinks today are made of stainless steel or cheap plastic.

Just clean and debur the end or it will cut the o ring. Just slide it on and make sure it's seated all the way.

Hot water eventually destroys the seals in the shutoff valve.
