Why we should keep 2mm gap between two members in splice?
to eliminate thermal stress
@@TonmoyMaity Thermak stress is allways there.
For shear force ,creating tension for bolt at flange portion....Is not check?
How is the transfer of moment load for end plate splice?
Would you tell us, why splice of structural steel box girder for elevated metro rail transit is located near the support?
moment is least there
@@TonmoyMaity Thanks.
Where should be the location of splice in columns if we decide to have one and two locations. Is it h/2 and h/3 respectively?
Provide at point of contraflexure
@@TonmoyMaity Is contraflexure = inflection point ?
@@gnidnoeled786 yes
Sir why splices are provided at point of contra flexure please explain
sure
why there is gap between two column when connecting through splice
Expansion or contract ion gap
Tq for the explanation..
Keep watching
please show us a moment connection between column to rafter knee connection only welded coneection.I want know that How does it works? Please sir.
Ok
Loved it
Glad you like it
Sir rohit here. Sir can you please explain me about the wave.remaning part i have understood very easily
ok
Never use that splice, will not transmit full load. We always use end plate moment connection on columns.
Please take online class sir
I'll try
