- Meet Chester, a 90kg boar whose owner is our Co-Founder and Director Dr Simon.
After finding Chester collapsed in his paddock one morning, unable to stand and barely responsive, Dr Simon rushed him to our Underwood hospital. Tests found that Chester had a twisted bowel which was cutting off blood supply and life-saving surgery was needed.
Dr Simon performed the surgery alongside a team of our emergency vets and nurses, including our Underwood hospital Directors and @bondi_vet’s Dr Gerardo and Dr Alex. The surgery (which was the first surgery our hospital has performed on a boar) was successful, and Chester is now fully recovered and back to being a normal boar chasing the girls around the paddock!
